Derby predictions

Hasn't the last two of these ended 1-2 Derby? I'll go with that. With the form they're in we'd do well to get a draw. Even though we've won the last two at home lest we forget we have still only taken all 3 points at home three times over the whole season. Get your money on 1-2 or 2-2.

Come on Saints... Prove me wrong...

No way am I confident about predicting the score. 2-1?

But has anyone any idea what the crowd will be? Will our recent run bring back some of the fair weather fans? (Not meant as a dig at the anti-lowe stay away-ers)

Any inside info from the ticket office?

K.

Well i'll be there for the first time this season. I have just moved back from Spain so i'm not sure if i'm one of the "fair weather" supporters u talk so knowingly about?

2-2 or derby go back to how they did in their promotion season, play route one and nick it 0-1.[/QUOT

I think you might well win this one to be honest folks. We are missing several of our most influential players at the moment (Addison, Green & Commons) and although we are supposedly the form team at the moment I think another performance like the one against PNE will be enough for you to take all 3 points, much to my impending disappointment!

I hope the anti-Derby thing has largely gone away - after all, honour was satisfied last August at Pride Park wasn't it?!! We seem to be very similar clubs in many ways and on similar trajectories most o fthe time too.

Do you think you'll stay up? TBH I think you will be ok - Barnsley, Norwich & Charlton are my odds on bet for the drop - though I'm hoping for a late collapse by the Red Dogs!

May the best team win tomorrow!

With a relatively big crowd expected and Saints in desperate need of a win, I'm going to say either 1 or 2 nil to the hosts.

If we put in the same effort as we did during the Preston and Cardiff games, then we should come out on top tonight.

I predict the game will kick off a few seconds after 7.45pm in front of a crowd of 15, 476. The weather will be breezy and chilly with light showers towards the end of the game.

Early Saints pressure will fail to produce a goal and the game will enter a scrappy phase from the 22nd minute. Around the half hour Derby will start getting a few shots in most of which will be ably dealt with by Kelvin. The Chapel end remains very quiet.

As the first half draws to a close the persistently fussy referee awards Derby a contentious free kick on the edge of the area. 0-1. Saints respond well with a couple of speculative shots but go in at half time a goal down.

Once again, it will be difficult to tell whether they gave you chocolate when you asked for coffee (partner swears it's tea).

Saints start the second half briskly and dominate for 35 minutes when a shot from Gillett from outside the area deflects off LLallana's backside and into the net. 1-1 Saints get edgy after this and some deparate defending has everyone biting their nails but, despite the ref adding 5 minutes from God knows where, they see the game out and it ends all square.

I had a dream.

I think I may well be the last 'I hate Derby' standard bearer :(
