exit2 Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 I have just been told that there is currently a meeting going on now between a prospective buyer / consortium and Messers Fry and the legal team from the administrators I have to say fair play to Mark Fry as he isnt hanging around here and Im quite hopeful that we will get a deal we are waiting for. Back to Baj's comment about 15 interested parties, dont you think it is amusing they have come out now when either Lowe has gone or they can pick the club up for nowt

Back to Baj's comment about 15 interested parties, dont you think it is amusing they have come out now when either Lowe has gone or they can pick the club up for nowt Nothing amusing Exit2, I was saying last season that no shrewd investor or consortium would consider paying for the club when they could sit in the trees waiting for the bones of our revenue streams to picked clean. The vultures have simply stopped circling and hardly surprisng Fry isn't hanging around - have you listened to his interviews? We might not make it until the end of the season without investment. Nothing to with who was in charge the same result would have happened but maybe just a bit sooner. Michael Wilde started this mess and the board sanctioning the overspending of money we couldn't afford couple that with declining revenues last season and the Lowe effect this season has just destroyed the club's finances. We can blame Lowe, Crouch or Wilde but our fans simply don't want to support the team in difficult times or during a mundane season outside the premiership so god knows what they will be like when we get relegated to League 1. It's a shame that your posts while often correct manage to leave openings for you to be attacked. The "fans are to blame" for not attending is a valid point - of course they deprived the club of needed revenues. But the REASONS why they declined are always blurred on here - the boycott is the most often blamed. But, the point that is always missed is that the majority of fans stayed away because they were FED UP paying out their money to watch garbage results. They became fed up of having the p8ss taken out of them at work after a televised game. The decisions taken with regard to the managerial structure resulted in us NOT WINNING FOOTBALL MATCHES and being an embarrassment on the television. Chicken & Egg, self fulfilling That is NOT a (should have kept NP type rant) it is merely observation, you pay peanuts you get monkeys, you build a Lapland in the New Forest you get a pikey rip off, you serve bad food in a restaurant you get no clients. we played bad football, the fans didn't go, we didn't earn enough revenue, the Bank said - whoa. Result We're screwed unless rabbits get pulled out of hats

(deep breath) ...not backing WGS...appointing Sturrock then sacking him....appointing Wigley...appointing Grey....appointing Bagpuss...relegation...selling all our best players and only spending £90,000 in 1st season in Championship...wanting way too much per share which put off potential investers. Yes wilde and co have played their part too but it is of no surprise that fans stayed away and investers didnt want to deal with Lowe and or Wilde. They are gone...get over it! I think some people really dont get what has happened. Lowe has gone from both boards, and the shareholding of him and his cronies is worthless in terms of power and money. His spell over this club is truly broken, unless he somehow manages to buy it outright, which is looking increasingly unlikely. Look at his attack on Barclays - he's a broken man where SFC is concerned.
