Forest Allocation

Ridiculous that regular away fans arent being rewarded - can't see how it would delay things given there's already a 12 day window between tickets going on sale to ST holders and general sale. Giving them precedence over members and allowing them to purchase tickets on the 16th would, if anything, speed things up - doubtless there must be a few people who are neither members or ST holders.

Because the likelyhood is that all tickets will be snapped up by season ticket holders.

They have probably been given a week or so to shift these tickets.

Non-season ticket holders who have not been to every home game don't deserve any priority on tickets anyway, going to away games does not earn the club a penny, it is the home fans they must look after first.

( thought I would drop that one in as no doubt there will be this discussion )

There is enough tickets in the 'full allocation' ( which is generally over 4,000 according to some sites ) for every STH who wants to go.

Exactly the way I see it too.

I was worried that the away fans would get the first priority but I am glad they haven't

It does seem bizarre that they're giving season ticket holders a full week before they allow anyone else to purchase tickets.

I don't know what the deadline for requesting the second allocation is. But surely this means that if take up by the season ticket holders is poor or if they just leave it until after the Sheffield Wednesday game before making up their minds, then we'll miss the deadline?

Surely we're missing a trick here. Perhaps the ticket office could take pre-orders from members and people on the database (oh why did I let my membership lapse)?

When is the cut off date for the 2nd allocation?

If the cut off date is before tickets go on general sale then the only problem is if the club basis the season ticket holders response rather than waiting for the general sale response, which could be completley different!

To be fair we didn't even sell all the tickets for the DC away leg of the play off final, you could walk up and buy one. And that was to get into the Prem, not to avoid L1.

I think there will be plenty of tickets to go round.

You're glad they haven't?!?!?! So that someone who has not supported the club up and down the country, spending sh*t loads of their own money should get priority over those who have. Yes true the club don't get any of the match ticket revenue, but the club would already be relegated imo if you halved our away support throughout the season. Our away travelling and the noise it makes has proberly earnt us at least 6 points this season (Preston) The fans who follow away are the toast of this club. They are proper heroes in the football world and should be rewarded in my opinion. So to give the opportunity to go to one of the biggest away games of the decade (and very possibly the last game we ever play) to some jolly fan who fancies going wild and hitting the road for once in the season disappoints me so much. I understand the reasons the club have not been able to offer the priority this time but I do not understand some of the fans rational that this is the fair way of doing things.

Well I'm glad season ticket holders are being rewarded first. Those that stayed away from SMS but only went to away games whilst Lowe was here put nothing into our club whilst those season ticket holders stumped up the cash up front so deserve to be rewarded. If you don't like it tough.

Whilst i agree my fear is we only end up with 2100 fans rather than 4000 because season ticket holders do not pick up the allocation quick enough and Forest limit us to the first allocation

I agree 100% that season ticket holders should be rewarded, but only because you guys have had to put up with so much dross this season!

If you can afford to follow the team all over the country then you should be able to afford a season ticket imo. If you are a season ticket holder then you have nothing to worry about.

Exactly as I see it. I don't mind STH's getting priority, but 3 days would be enough time for them surely?

What a ****e argument. What if you're a Saints fan in the Midlands or up North? If they're going to 10 away and 10 home that (in my book) makes them just as worthy as those who live 10 minutes from St Marys and only go to home games.

More **** Saints fans in I'm a better fan than you shocker.

But then if you are a midlands/northern based Saints fan and you go to the away games that are close by then the "thick and thin" argument doesn't really stand up does it - you're going to the games through convenience rather than rabid loyalty. And good luck to you. People go because they want to, no one forces anyone.

I hate all these debates anyway. I am a self confessed rubbish fan. But I'll be at Forest, I'll promise you. Because its just down the road. I would be going to that game regardless of whether it meant promotion, relegation or nothing at all.

No it doesn't.

If you go shopping in Tesco 10 times and Asda 10 times.

I go shopping in Tesco 20 times.

Who do you think will get more Tesco Clubcard points?

You are not a customer of SFC when you attend away games, so why should you get priority over their customers?

If you are someone who is a home AND away season ticket holder then of course you should get priority, but there are plenty of tickets to ensure that STH's will not be dissapointed.

Tough sh*t if you don't have a Season Ticket, one of the 'perks' in the T's&C's when buying a Season Ticket is priority for away games.

Once again.... Tough Sh*t

I am a saints fan in the midlands hence my username, I attend all at sms and some away, the ones at sms means the club get my money, the away ones the club get nothing.

****ing 'customers' - you ******. Lowe really did do a good job didn't he?

I was talking about fans, mate, not customers. And, FWIW, I said just as worthy (not more worthy) - too many idiots on here who think that having a home season ticket makes them a super duper fan and better than people who don't go to every home game - there are plenty of people with perfectly good reasons for not going every week, distance being one of them.

Your point's wasted on me anyway. I don't have a season ticket but will be at the game regardless - ticket or no ticket/home end or away end.

Nobody mentioned about super duper fans just season ticket holders having priority over everyone else which is only right, they stump money up front.

CUSTOMERS, yes. That is exactly what we are to the 'business' , SFC is a business, one which relies on income from HOME games, as away games earn the BUSINESS fook all.

If it wasn't for the 'super dupa' fans that pay for season tickets, we wouldn't have a football team now to go and watch away, and the people who have stayed away from SMS are right up there with Lowe in being responsible for administration.

Fact is fact, it is the home fans who are the CUSTOMERS not people who go to away games, they are customers of Norwich City, Notts Forest, Plymouth or whoever Saints are playing that day.

Don't call me a high and mighty fan, I almost certainly won't have a season ticket next season, far too many tastey away days in League 1 which I would prefer to go to.

Having said that, I won't be moaning if Season Ticket Holders get priority over me next season..... although I will still be able to get hold of tickets should the need arise.

I dont want to upset anyone, but i am glad that for once ST holders are getting a fair deal.

There have been a lot of deals for games lately,Kids for a quid, tickets at nearly half price etc,all of which works out cheaper for those Johnny come latelys and this will make up for all those games we have had to endure on a wet Tuesday night in a half empty stadium watching Saints get beat yet again.

At last ST holders are getting something back.

Well I've been to pretty much every away game this season, bar a few of the midweek ones, and have never heard about this personally?

It's not advertised or anything is it?

Not advertised but the chap who sits next to me in the Itchen has had an away season ticket for years, basically they allocate a ticket and post it a week before the game. I don't know how much he pays but I shall ask him next time I see him.

You give your bank details and they just take the price of each ticket out of your account

...... or in my case from my credit card, although slightly concerned as Sheff Wed ticket not yet made an appearance. You can de-select up to 4 games a year. I think at one point there were over 70 away s/t holders but I think there are now less than 10 !

Can't see the need for all the infighting to be honest. Bearing in mind that we should get a second allocation, I'd be surprised if a (very?) few of these didn't make it to general sale.

I'm not sure whether to make journey myself as I'm worried i could jinx the result. You see thing is that i was in nottingham for work meetings on our relegation day in 2005 and I don't know whether it might be fated! cripes

ST holders who have supported the club through thin and thinner with thier financial support are getting rewarded, no probs with that. Oh but then Im a ST holder.

Agreed, but I find it slightly odd that they are only doing one per season ticket holder. How many people will be going up on their own? I will be waiting until it goes on sale to members so I can get one on my season ticket and one on my brothers membership.
