Griffo Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 Have heard a rumour or that there is a possibility of a pitch invasion tomorrow. If that happens I think we deserve what comes to us. What a stupid ****ing idea. Would put investors off a little bit, if not completely. Would probably mean a fine for the club too, and whatever other costs the club would have to pay for repairs to the pitch? I hope to god it doesn't happen. I just hope Wilde, Lowe and Askham stay away so that the atmosphere has no focal points to sour on, in case the new investors are there. Well Southampton FC for a start. If we disrupt the game Saints will be faced with a fine by the FA and in case you haven't noticed we can't really afford anything like that right now. dubai_phil Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 If anyone is sitting next to any idiot that thinks a pitch invasion is a good idea during the game tomorrow then they have a duty to stop them. The FL have already got their knives out for us, does ANYONE really think that their reaction would be any less than a sanction against the new owners of the club? Closing SMS for the first two games of next season would almost destroy any chance of new buyers being able to structure their cash flow, and the FL would love to do that after we shoved two fingers in THEIR face. Before you go to the game just look at the donation thread to see what Saints fans are really capable of and then ask if any of you sitting there tomorrow when some idiots try and run on the pitch should not at least make the effort of pointing them out to the stewards or Police. We HAVE to SURVIVE giving the FL the chance to close SMS because of unruly fans is just bordering on the suicidal edge of insanity, the fans shouldn't allow it. Crab Lungs Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 lucky you Quite, although the half a season I was over in the UK for I only saw... hmmm.... maybe 8 live games? I'm a fan, but I wouldn't say I am a "supporter" and don't classify myself as such. Feel free to pillar me for that! Regardless... all it's been the past few years is moan moan moan... hate to say it but Portsmouth, regardless of their attendances in the Champ, always stuck together, always. We're still so obsessed with Lowe, directors and have been for years now. We freak at players without any considered thoughts and whinge about pretty much anything. This whole sorry mess has to end. Someone needs to wipe peoples memories of the last ten or so years and we need to accept its going to be a completely new era. No Lowe and hopefully no more suits... but I get fecking bored on here constantly reading about fan's hair-brained protest ideas, Rupert Lowe and finger pointing at everyone except themselves. We all have to take some responsibility, be it only minimal in a sense to some. We ****ed up too - not just the directors and the players... You're obviously too young to remember the dark days down there then when they were probably even more vociferous than us towards their owners/board etc, and even more apathetic when it came to turning up. They've been happy bunnes in recent years because a couple of rich foreigners have been happy to plough millions into them in order to bring them success. No wonder they're happy and fair play to them. But rewind a few years and you'll see that they, like many other clubs, are just like us.
