RedAndWhite91 Posted 19 May, 2009 Share Posted 19 May, 2009 Whenever Fry, the Daily Echo, or South Today mention '48 hours' nothing actually happens. So let's hope the same happens now, and we don't fold.

So let's hope the same happens now, and we don't fold. Why should something happen now, unless of course some-one finds an Aladdin's Lamp in the coal shed this weekend. Reminds me of a guy I worked with for a while. He wanted to buy a TR6 off another work-mate. Agreed to pay £800 for it, trouble is he didn't have any more than £20. So when the bank turned down his loan application, he just backed outsiders at the bookies until he finally had to admit he didn't have the money. 70's Mike Posted 19 May, 2009 Share Posted 19 May, 2009 it better end soon because the threads on here are going in ever decreasing circles, we need to be talking about players, managers and the date the fixtures come out, price of season tickets, how we will all be able to fit in the Itchen and the Kingsland when the new owner announces that the Northam and Chapel are to be shut to save money
superstevesaints Posted 19 May, 2009 Share Posted 19 May, 2009 Pinnacle have not delivered. The unnamed 'Overseas' group have made a bid and have gone through the process. They will be named preferred bidder and are likely to take over within the next few days. An announcement will be made around midday tomrrow from Fry saying they are the preferred bidder. Thanks

No owner, half a team, no ticket sales, just an administrator and a big bunch of 48 hour reprieves. The admins and the potential purchasers need to get their asses into gear and then fade away into the background and let us get on with the humdrum of football. If the potential buyers don't have the money, they should just stop tarting about hoping that they'll win the lottery this Friday and let someone else get on with it. SaintRichmond Posted 20 May, 2009 Share Posted 20 May, 2009 A few Questions .... At the moment, things look bleak, and we do not know IF anyone can clinch a deal .. BUT .... in that case ... WHY has Crouch in effect arranged a "bridging loan" WHY has Wotte ALWAYS been so sure of SFC continuing WHY has the RFU stated that St Mary's as one of the World Cup venues WHY has Kelvin said he wants a New Deal WHY have not the League made any statement on the long drawn out situation Surely these, and other actions, would not have taken place, IF is was nailed on that we would fold ???? WHO knows something we don't know ??? ... and I don't just mean speculation

I swear, it was in the London Paper yesterday. Admittely it was the South Coast of France for a pre Cannes Film Festival party. But you never know perhaps Mark Fry was invited.
