Will we get ommitted

I looked at the official Football Leaque website to see when we will have to confirm entry to L 1 to

be included in the fixtures list. The pasted bit below was in their F.A.Q. bit.

"How long does it take to generate the fixture list from beginning to end?

GT: I start the main compilation process on the Tuesday following the play-off finals, roughly

three weeks before publication and we have to cram about five weeks worth of work into that period."

I have just had a nasty thought, how can Mark Fry guarantee our being

entered into next seasons fixtures list as he doesn't know for sure that

Saints will be in existence ? The Football League start next Tuesday the

26th of May on compiling their fixture list and I am sure they will need to know

for sure IF Saints can enter. They will not want to do a fixture list and then

find out that we can't enter as it will entail lots of extra work as it won't only

affect L 1 but all the leagues below as well as teams will have to be promoted

to fill the ensuing gaps.

What really worries me is IF Mark cannot say for sure that we will have a team the

Football League will just re-jig the Leagues and exclude Saints meaning that it will

be too late to enter a team even if we are bought within the next couple of weeks.

Next season officially 'starts' on June 12th. That us when the football league meet and this season ends and next season starts.

They will need reassurances by then, that we will be able to fulfil our fixtures, if we can't, then we will be replaced and the last relegation places will cascade up, all the way to our new home, the Blue Square South.

If after June 12th we go into liquidation then League 1 will simply start one team down, with one less relegation place. We will then have a season without football and have to start the following year in the Blue Square.

Saints are not in administration, Chelsea are £800m in debt, has anybody asked Abramovitch whether he can still afford it.

Saints are in until they say they are out.

Last time I checked Abramovich was worth around £7 billion? Although Saints aren't in administration we don't have any money coming into the club to pay for staff, players, upkeep, all those things, so it is almost as if time is running out. I do agree though - Saints are in until they say they are out. Let's just hope a buyer is found soon so we can have some income as opposed to just expenditure.

Stop scaremongering.

Darlington and Stockport are in exactly the same postion as us at the momemnt, and last season Bournemouth still had not sorted themselves out days before the start of the new season.

But surely if the club are not in admin the club can sell season tickets - that would then bring in money to pay what you mention. This really is getting out of hand. We just want to buy our tickets? Surely someone can work out the cost of kepping the club affloat for next season and we can crack. 10000 tickets at £450 brings in 4.5million - I know you'll say £450 a ticket but you could bogof them so that you would be getting an attendance of 20000 - at £225a season ticket. This would also get some of the stay aways back in the habit. How much do we need for a season in L1?

WHAT WE REALLY NEED IS SOME PROPER TRANSPARENT INFORMATION AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON - For one I am fed up of being kept in the dark with all this cloak and dagger rubbish. Lets have it out in the open and we can move on. As the man him self said there is n't much time available so if you put us in the picture people might be more willing to help.

But if we pay for seasons and the club is liquidated, won't we lose our money?

No, you would get the same attendances, but with half the income.

If you and your mate were both about to renew and the BOGOF offer popped up, would both of you still buy a ticket and get one free; or go halves and a ticket each?

Is a risk yes, but Im sure a large amount of people would (a) take that risk if it meant helping the club out, and (b) pay on Credit Card anyway which offers some protection.

Wimbledon had to start much lower than the Blue Square, what has changed since then?

Wimbledon are now Milton Keynes Dons, AFC Wimbledon was a brand new breakaway team, so had to start at the bottom.

Southampton FC will not cease to exist, and Southampton FC Ltd will still retain their registration with the F.A , so even if we are liquidated, we will still have our registration, so will only be liable for the punishment of being relegated a further 2 or 3 divisions.

Obviously this would be based on someone standing up and paying all registration and affiliation fees etc, but would be peanuts compared to what is happening at the moment.

Depends on the person - i know for a FACT that myself and KPTurner (we go together) would both still buy our own and then take advantage of the two free ones to get others going (our third mate who was one of the protesting stay aways) back into the habit - however he did n't stay away much as he practically shared my ticket for the past three seasons and done loads of walk ups. We need to get people back into the habit of going - In the current times we need to make going affordable and £25 tickets for L1 football ain't going to happen. Plus surely its better to have bigger attendances generating the same revenue rather than have some of the woeful turnouts we had last year. the ground has a bit of atmosphere when its nearly full rather than being like an ice box and very dull when it is less than 50% full. Which ever way we just need to start flogging tickets - WE ARE A FOOTBALL CLUB OUR BUSINESS IS FOOTBALL - we are not a business that does football. SFC is apparently not in admin so lets get the fecking tickets on sale and get the good times rolling - and lets blow this division apart...... as you can see I am well up for L1... COME ON YOU REDS!

Precisely.

Peterborough United have released their ST prices for next season - now in the Championship, and their cheapest is £250 for the season, just over a tenner per match.

Outstanding value.

Bet ours wont be that cheap.

We've already had a few seasons without football!

Just musing aloud. If we get 16000 attendance average, nest season at 18 quid per head average, that's 288000 x 23=6.624 million for the year excepting addons, sponsors etc. Say a squad of 32? and all gate revenue to players would be an average of 207000 pounds per annum. Obviously some on more than others, but what exactly is the norm in 3rd division? Would any fans out there consider running the club as a business with that sort of income? Because if not, some of the ticket prices being bandied around won't get much of a player group. Or perhaps the general feeling is that we're entitled to subsidy from the owners.

Firstly, you won't get a professional squad of 32 in that league. 20 would be a fair estimate. At least half of these would be made up of Academy aged players on £500 a week tops.

An average of 207000 is almost 4k a week, I doubt we will have any players on anywhere near that.... half it and I guess you will still be over-estimating, if taking into account the low earners.

Good evening ! As I assume you are from the planet Zorkoff I will help you with your enquiry.

The gentleman you mentioned is extremely wealthy, and carries buckets full of cash around with him giving it to the peasants he meets along the way,as he finds it amusing to be laden down with so much money.

Southampton on the other hand are totally boracic;which in planet Zorkoff terminology means that there is no money fairy, and the club is therefore about to go under.

Please try not to make too much noise as you launch yourself into the atmosphere for your journey home.

Presumably Abramovitch could change his mind like Barclay's bank did when they called in their loan to Saints? He doesn't have to bail out Chelsea if he doesn't want to. They better keep on licking his boots if they know what's best for them!
