Why aren't Pinnacle accepting others offer?

Tony L has said that he has had offers from other groups to join up since signing the exclusivity agreement, which they have declined - saying they have their 5 yr plan.

The postive slant on this is that there is less likely to be divisions and Pinnacle have all the money they need.

Another option is that we are missing out of beneficial investment because the new owner wants it all to himself.

Hope its the first!

Think of how much we had to put up with three major shareholders in Crouch, Wilde and Lowe. "I'll put in £2M if they do" etc. And how much investment did we see? None.

Having one, and only one owner is much more beneficial to a number of wannabees looking for their share of power.

Think of it the other way.... If they had accepted 3rd party offers, everyone on hear would be in hysterics about how Pinnacle don't have a pot to p*ss in / all the rumours scaremongering were in fact true / blah blah blah and how did Fry get duped into awarding exclusivity etc etc

Is this another one of those "can't do right for wrong threads"? It seems by saying "thanks but no thanks" is short-sighted and fool-hardy.

Just seems strange to suggest that not accepting offers ("missing out on beneficial investment") is therefore a bad thing.

That is not how it made me feel.

Then, I am not one for conspiracies

based on TL's comments (5 yr plan to prem, owner worth 100's millions, required investment) , being optimistic sort and no evidence to the contrary I am happy to run with we now have all the money we need!

In tonight's Echo TL reveals since the period of exclusivity has started they have had offers from 3rd parties which they have declined.

No surprise there Duncan. We have always had people prepared to buy this club... shame it's taken another relegation before our owners have put the club up for sale. Still... hey ho.... times are good :)

Err, you mean it took a 2nd relegation to drag Lowe and Wilde screaming to the administrator prior to wrestling control from them surely? ;)

If you are on a wind up, I think you need to try again. Either that or you have been away for a very long time.

Sometimes it has felt as though my blood had been let. Still as you say "hey ho"

Maybe this is a sign that Pinnacle have enough 'moolah' without needing help from other individuals/consortiums?

If they were seen to be accepting offers from elsewhere, then people on here would ridicule them, saying that they clearly don't have enough funds to complete the deal etc etc.

I don't think it's neccesarily a bad thing that they are wanting to go it alone at all. With one owner and one Board, hopefully this would mean that the club can move forward, united as one. No more Boardroom squabbles! We've had more than our fair share in recent years.

Yeah before we had to wait for all 3 to say get stuffed. now we just have to wait for the 1 guy to say he aint gona invest. thats at least 3 weeks less speculation each transfer window! Result! ;)

maybe it was rupert/michael offering to invest 1o pound for a 50% share

I have to agree with the other poster. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Rupert Lowe or Michael Wilde wanted to regain a foothold at the club, it would be ridiculous if this were correct. The club is surely worth far more than this and this would be a huge mistake.

If these rumours about Lowe coming back with a significant share for such a pathetic amount of money are correct, I can see us getting relegated again pretty soon. We fans need to make it clear that this is not acceptable!

1 club, 1 leader.

**** going back to battles of egos and clashes of personalities.

Could'nt agree more.

We have been beset by division and inertia because of it for far too long..

Unity at board level will provide the solid foundations for the club to move forward again.

You just have tp look to Gordon Browns government to see the effects of a rudderless and mutinous ship.

Me too.

Hoping the Pinnacle bid goes through and is good for our Club.
