I shall be giving back the bananas they threw at me in 84'

I hope the offenders were pushed out of the back door, taken around the back and given a good stiff talking to.....they deserve to have their wrists slapped until they were limp. The police were bending over backwards on Saturday to ensure that the law abiding fans were having a gay old time.

Na,I'm only having a laugh.....it was all tongue in cheek. The whole thing is a joke,If the Brighton fans are offended then they must also be offended by 'little Britain' or going even further back,**** emery as honky tonk. Somebody somewhere will always be offended by something,so the police should direct their resources at more pressing needs instead of wasting time on the petty pc brigade.

Gayness is a sin in the bible and as you have to swear on the bible in a court of law I will take my chances in court. I'm not against gayness but I am against overreacting by the idiots who have turned this country into a place where the witch hunt rules.

Our fishy neighbours trying to emulate our plan?
lordswoodsaints replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
They've got nobody in the crowd, nobody on the pitch and now they've got a nobody in the dugout.....and no money,so I don't think they are trying to emulate us as we are now but I think they are going to make the same mistakes as we did a few years ago with the Dutch experiment. They had a short list of 20 managers which was whittled down to 10 and it included so decent names including the likes of coppel,(sound familiar) and they went for a nobody in a burtons suit who's on about £50 a week. -
It's all about picking and choosing your games if for some reason you can't make every game. Some of the younger supporters seem to forget that us old boys have been following saints around the country week in week out deccades before they were even born but as you travel through life things change, families come along, priorities change and saints take a bit of a back seat. So think before you label people as plastic, they have probably contributed to this club more than you ever will.

You must have been running really really slow if you had time to say all that as well as wait for the reply......are you a tortoise with no legs? -
I'd love it if Harry got the job,I dont hold any malice towards him and think he is a great manager. It would be nice to see an Englishman get the job for a change and Harry deserves his chance.

Funnily enough I was talking to somebody with a bit of clout from the council today and now that the town depot has moved to millbrook they are looking for a buyer who will develop the site into an 'ocean village' type development with less apartments and more retail.

Watching football is not a crime but paying to watch Pompey whilst sitting in that ****hole of a ground should be made illegal -
If the arse wanna spend obscene amounts on our untried players then let them,I'm happy to let all the young 'stars' go for silly money,it enables us to go out and buy gifted and tried youngsters like jack cork,it also allows us to offer decent contracts to genius players like lallana as well as being able to offer good wages to the experienced players. I think we all have to realise this is the point of our youth system,it is a very good income stream for the club, better than any other income stream and it really is the gift that keeps on giving.there really is no other setup probably in Europe that is as good as ours and most clubs would sell their back teeth to have it. Keep on producing and keep on selling I say,it can only make the team better.

Both sides should shut the **** up and not air their dirty laundry in the media. Matts boy is obviously going to stick up for his dad and we all know that benali has a gripe with nc which has nothing to do with the football. Matt and lawrie are legends but in these times of recession when some loyal lifelong fans can no longer afford to go,it's probably a good idea not to be giving out free tickets. If this drags on it could have a damaging effect on the whole positive vibe around the club at the moment. Both sides need to show a bit of restraint for the sake of the greater cause and if I'm honest the whole thing is a bit cringy.
-
I've been going to games for 40 years, home, away, couple of trips to Europe..... you name it I've probably done it,my kids go and I've spent hundreds on merchandise so if anybody deserves free tickets,I do....it's only fair.

I'm only having a laugh my best mate is of the blue persuasion and although we share a bit of banter the rivalry doesn't really bother me.....I'm getting too middle aged to care about it anymore.
-
I'm just going for a ruck so no need for a ticket or coach,I'll go early, smash a few skates and get back home in time to watch it in the pub.......nawty. If you lot wanna be pussy whipped into jumping on the tossers coach then good luck to you.

Bournemouth just havnt got the fan base to sustain a decent level of football, they have been flirting with debt on and off for years.they punched above their weight last season but as predicted they couldn't sustain their good form long enough to make it to the finishing post, they are at best a mid table l1 team but on the positive side they have balanced the books, unfortunately the fans would like success but for a small club like Bournemouth that would probably mean going into debt to gamble on getting promoted. It must be hard living in the shadow of saints but hey ho.

These days the police are just looking for an easy life and letting everybody out at the same time is the easy option IMO. It's a case of open all the doors and keep your fingers crossed, most of the time it works but sometimes keeping your fingers crossed and hoping for the best doesn't cut it. Why don't the club get involved and tell the police to keep away fans in? After all they are the customer....or is it a case of get everybody out and wash your hands of what happens outside.
-
It's a yes from me,as I've said before,it would be madness to dismiss a player that obviously can play a bit.....ok he probably has a bad attitude but every team in every league from MANU down has one or two players who upset a few people, why should we be any different? it could turn out to be a good bit of business keeping hold of him.

would you pay £30 a ticket to watch a shower of sh!t in a sh!thole of a ground?
-
This is the bit we should all be listening to.....this one sentence unbiased opinion says it all.

I don't think anybody who has played at the level beattie has should be rejected without at least given a chance to prove they still could be an asset to the club,if he's free and he doesn't demand silly wages then he should possibly be given a go,perhaps on a monthly rolling contract. I think it would be silly to dismiss an experienced footballer just because Of his age......after all it was only a few months ago that lots of you were getting erectile about the Michael Owen rumour and he's about the same age as Beattie.
