I was lucky enough to be on the Rue de Rivoli for the end stage of the 2007 TDF. That wa pretty special, but, I bet, absolutely nothing compared to the atmosphere yesterday. Magnificent stuff.

All Saints fans should protest about this disgusting slur

Bitter, twisted, inconsequential little fools. If that scrote wants to deal in facts, then previous owners of their sh!tty little excuse for a club include arms dealers and tax fraudsters. -
I still have fond memories of his overhead backheel in the FA semi final. Deserved a goal and was a sublime piece of skill. Frank was a superb player.

I think HSBC are offering a fixed term for 2 or 3 years at about 4% with a 10% deposit, which atm, is as good as you can probably find.
-
I bet there are a good number of people in your situation, able to afford a mortgage, but stuck when it comes to the deposit. Lenders still have a lot of questions to answer when it comes to this, assuming of course, that you do want to buy a house instead of renting (which i guess you do).

http://www.southampton.gov.uk/living/housing/private/newhousing/looking.aspx If anyone is interested, you may want to check out this link. SCC will assist with part ownership of a house, if getting a mortgage is difficult. I don't know the detail, but at first glance it seems an OK system. I know Housing Associations offer similar schemes. Some of the big Developers offer incentives for purchases, but these vary and i don't know the detail. It is a silly situation when LA's are having to offer sensible solutions to bridge the gap caused by the Banks. If one can afford to rent, then one can, theoretically at least, afford a mortgage.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but something here makes me think you are a "glass half empty" type of guy. -
So true. I loved the look of Bianchi bikes and got one a good few years ago, on a whim, but couldn't get on with it at all. Expensive mistake.

http://www.pedalon.co.uk/acatalog/index.html Is also worth looking at. Based in Tadley, they have always had decent deals on.

It's a long commute from Sandbanks to Moscow.

What about Johnathan Marray? Fantastic achievement, but get overlooked by the media in favour of the crying scotsman. pathetic.
-
He lost and he cried like a girl and everyone thinks he's great. WTF?!?!?. He'll never win anything if he acts like that. He needs to man up FFS and improve, but the rewards for losing are ever more lucrative. More nauseating crap on the TV this morning about him "winning our hearts". What a load of old crap. He didn't close out the second set when he had the chance and his head dropped and he lost it. No point crying like a girl. Acknowledge the better player then get out onto the court today to get better. All this shyte about "getting his head right" are the words of a loser. Neverwin a grand slam with that sort of attitude.

The French fella got a forehand volley right in the knackers. Went down like a sack of merde! good old Murray

If you adopt the same principles of the banks, you can make some money out of selling them!

He's one of the most sensible pundits and is a good co-commentator on the radio for 5 live games too. And was quite complimentary to Saints last season if that sort of thing is of any real importance anyway.

All the best, Whitey, get well soon.

General Hospital Childrens Heart Unit survives

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/9798575.Children_s_heart_unit_in_Southampton_saved/ Terrific news, especially considering the undoubted excellence and high quality in the unit. -
Is it just me, or did the way Spain play remind you of anyone...?
Special K replied to sidthesquid's topic in The Saints
Why would I bother? It seems a complete waste of time, unless one gets kicks out of searching for posts that can be used for some kind of self-gratifying smugness. But don't take offence, it was funny, I just found it a bit weird that Alps get's people so hot under the collar that they would go to these lengths for a bit of oneupmanship on a football forum. -

I don't know whether to laugh at the comment or cry at the obsessive nature of trawling through 2 year old posts on a football forum. -
Old place i used to work had a group of women with the same inclinations, although i'm sure the weekend was where they tucked it all away, as for all the salads they used to nibble at during the week, i'm sure they used to scoff large takeaways and pour gallons of alcopops down their necks on a friday and saturday. Never seemed to lose weight and were always increasing in size. The only thing that seemed to spur them on to a gym was if they got dumped, but as soon as they found another poor sap ready to take them on, they were back in the comfort food zone.
