Anyone who says "everythink" during a TV interview cannot run a football club, FACT.

What a fool. He may feel it cathartic to confess all and also have a sly dig at his fellow conspirators at the same time to try, but all it tells me is that he's a weak lapdog, who went along with whatever Lowe said

Bloke in the pub decided to play the fruity instead then?

I like him. He's done a reasonable job when set against the financial constraints and impending administration. He brought back some under-used experienced players that resulted in some good performances and unlike others, I think if he'd been in from the start of the season, then we may well have ended up with more points, although probably not enough to resist relegation from the 10 point deduction. But for next season, no. We will need a manager who knows the lower levels of english football and the best way to get out of a league that will be bruising and brawny. Wotte seems quite sensible, but i'd rather have an experienced fighter than an eloquent foreigner who doesn't quite grasp the type of league that the 3rd tier of english football is.

What a Shame we were never treated as fans

Good post L3C. All of the people involved with this football club over the last 6 years needs to hold their heads in shame. Yeah, that includes not just Lowe, Cowan & Wilde, but Crouch, McMenemy and all the numerous other boardroom ego's, flakes and protagonists who have all contributed to this moment. It is a sad, sad day. -
What a pussy. Hardly a punch, more like a cuff around the ear that used to be dished out routinely to gobsh!tes by the OB.

We used to be a very small fish in the big premier league pond. We expected to have to fight to survive and loved it when we gave the big boys a bloody nose. We had that siege mentality, dunkirk spirit, call it what you will, inate in our team and only lads who had the stomach for a fight were attracted to the club. Unfortunately, moving to the new stadium and upping our status has caused us to see things differently. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the stadium was a bad thing, but we see ourselves as expecting to do well now and the type of players that come to the club are not of the ilk we used to get. Mix that up with a shocking bunch of egomaniacs who have all wanted to play Bertie Big ******** in the boardroom, some mediocre managers and the only recipe is one of disaster.

As others have said, Le Havre is pretty ropey. But if you take the motor you can go to some nice places close by ; Ouistreham for the D Day story, Deauville for the beach (and a nice town too). There are some pretty coastal villages along form Le Havre, but there's not much to do there. If you go to Calais, again it's quite disappointing although not as bad as Le Havre, but if you can get to it, then Le Touquet is lovely and worth a punt, although it get's busy when the sun comes out.

No one will commit to a bid until they know a) our points status and b) our league status. Also a lot will depend on this saturdays result and next saturdays attendance. As the Burnley game is the last home game of the season, that has to generate enough cash for the club to survive the season, otherwise the administrator will just fold it up. Time and circumstances are definitely against us.

The team are a bunch of choking c***s.

The Devalued Prime Minister of a Devalued Government
Special K replied to Johnny Bognor's topic in The Lounge
I feel sorry for the poor fella. He's obviously not getting enough in the Ministerial bed so felt the need to bang a couple out over some subscription p0rn. Not his fault his dozy bint of a missus decided to claim it back on expenses without checking it first. I don't think he needs to apologise for anything. So what? yeah, ok, i ordered a few mucky films, but where's the harm in that. Not his fault he's not getting enough, but he should have had the balls to say it and not cower behind his missus career by apologising like a poof. There was a time when Government Ministers were renowned for getting plenty, just read old Clarkey's diaries, but whether it's because there are too many doris's in the Cabinet these days, or these New Labour wimps are all too busy attending ****y old focus groups or waste-of-time think tanks late into the night instead of getting their oats, i don't know. Personally, i would like a well laid Home Secretary who was able to make chilled out rational decisions and then she wouldn't have to get all embarrassed and try to save her career when she catches her old man knocking one out. -

"Wealthy Socialists"! Now there's an oxymoron. So ultimately yes, it is hypocrisy. -
Good idea. Me and a few mates took up cycling a few years back but we went for some semi serious rides on teh road bikes all dressed up in teh ghey lycra and that. Helps with the fitness.

I must be missing something, because i think he's about as funny as herpes. He comes across as the self conscious annoyingly loud kid in the class that tried too hard to be popular and you just felt a little bit embarrased for. All imho of course.

Probably not, but you can't blame one of them for trying to make political gain from it. He may also be genuinely upset about it too, but as a politician, that's unlikely -

Nicely put by the fella. And it's spot on too. -

I agree, although i wouldn't put it so bluntly . I think i can safely say that all the women i know are intelligent enough to know about and organise a smear test and for anyone to suggest that it would take the death of a well known media personality to influence them, is being, imho, quite patronising. (NB it's presumably all blokes that are saying this!) It is terribly sad what happend to her and her family, but there needs to be some perspective with all this. All imho if course.

Sounds like just the sort of person who shouldn't set up their own business.

I'm convinced now that an actor has said it. To be honest, all the mixed messages from Scientists on both sides of the argument, who have spent many, many years working on their theories was never convincing for me. I was always waiting for an actor of gravitas to come out and say it. Let's hope the **** remembers this when he's flying all over the world to promote his new found concern for the environment.

Ha Ha Ha Ha!! It's not wrong to laugh at this. I think it's great. There are not enough "Dog meets bizarre/unfortunate but laughable demise" stories in the media these days.

Doubled my money on Taylor Wimpey shares a few weeks ago. Bought them at 12p and they had a two day hike due to some positive news about their refinancing and they leapt up to 28p. Didn't quite catch it at the peak, but was happy with the result. Got some Lloyds tsb shares though - bloody awful they are.

I may have batted an eyelid, but would find it difficult to batter an eyelid as i think you would need lots to go with the portion of large chips to make a decent supper. -

There is no natural balance, because it's always changing. In the same way that continental plates are always moving and shifting, weather patterns constantly change too and have done since this planet came into existence. All we are seeing is a snapshot in time. There have been favourable conditions that mean we are here today in the form that we are, but we cannot influence what the planet wants to do, although we have these grandiose ideas that we can change climates for the benefit of ourselves and everything will be alright. But what is the motivation for this? Ultimately, it appears to be the self protection of the developed nations as an economic powerbase. I agree with sourcing alternative energies on the basis that the old lot runs out or to become more self sustainable and not subject to political volatility elsewhere. But i don't agree with it being dressed up in a green suit.
