Nothing really against Man Utd - prefer them to City, Chelsea and Arsenal for various reasons. But this is a real shame, big loss for them, big loss for football. I honestly don't think we'll see anyone like him again. This is someone who took an average team (and they were average) and made them the biggest club in the world from top to bottom. It wasn't the owners that did it, HE did it. Fair play that man, awesome work.

My Player Twin - who do you look like?

Phil Bardsley ... -
God, I see far better looking women than them almost every day at Fleet station in the morning!! The one from Lymington is by far the best there.

He's a boring tool.

Best Opposition Player At SMS This Season?

Agree with both of these! -
You know what, enough conjecture - we'll win this weekend and ......... we'll be safe.

Agree with this! I know a good sponsorship deal is vital financially, but it'd be lovely to be so self-sufficient that we could have a charity as a shirt sponsor. To be honest, there are almost too many sponsors in football now anyway, the return must be so diluted and probably harder than ever to measure. It's hard enough to measure marketing ROI on social media, let alone on a team/in a ground/in a programme that is totally diluted ... ?

Never had anything against Reading, just a bit of a boring, nothing club ... as shown by the masses of empty seats in a crucial fixture. Very poor.

Thought he spoke really well as he was put on the spot about the Adkins/MP thing. Said the team has improved and is improving all the time; thought it was well said - good bit of PR training.

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
Patrick Bateman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He could still do a job for us as a bit part player and coach!! -
Really? I often get applauded at work after presenting and leading, but then that's also because they are appreciating my impressive human being.

Agreed and that goes with what Turkish was saying - it's about emotion. Planning it is a little bit noddy, especially as we won't have anything to really celebrate ... I'd rather smash Stoke 5-0, applaud the lads for a great 1st season back as they do a lap of honour, then head back to the pub for drinks.

That Swansea website has made my eyes hurt

Red and White Stripes Black Shorts next year
Patrick Bateman replied to Horton Heath Saint's topic in The Saints
No. Black shorts now looks so 1990s daarhlings ... look at Sunderland, vile. Look at Saints, classy. -
Absolutely nothing wrong with the location at all. Out of town grounds are sh*t.

A little, it's not impossible, but there is a bit of a gap between 11th and 10th. West Ham have 2 games in hand, Fulham have 2 games in hand and we need to play Spurs and Swansea away. I'd take 11th - if the season ended up, we'd all be more than happy. What's the prize fund this year for 11th? What's the difference between placings, anyone know?

Saints 2 Reading 0 - Post Match Reactions
Patrick Bateman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Exactly and this is what I REALLY liked about the match yesterday - the fact that we did something different as we knew Reading would be looking to disrupt us. The first 5 minutes or soworked for Reading and Adkins and they were disrupting the team somewhat and it appeared they were targeting Clyne more. However, once we started to put some pressure on (without playing the normal high pressure) and playing/passing in neat high-tempo triangles, the Reading players' heads dropped. But it was great to see something different from the "high pressure". Things are looking up!! -
Could not agree more! Everyone I speak to says "but you were outraged that Nige was sacked" - my answer "football is fickle and Pochettino has come in and done exactly what he said - winning fans over through his football". The guy is immense so far!
-
Personally, I think he should come out and burn a Skate flag every match, wave using a straight arm salute and then buy the whole ground bovril.

Our house isn't metered for water. We've just moved in and I'm asking them to do it as they lumped a "rateable value" of almost £100 a month for water. I was paying £20 a month for 2 people on a meter before - ridiculous difference! £68 for gas and electric? Do you never have the heating on??
-
Rugby is totally different. Rugby is and always has been about the drinking and mixing with everyone - it does feel odd sitting with opposition fans around you, but I like it at rugby. I would hate it at football - different sport, different atmosphere, different occasions.
-
Could not disagree more. Lambert should be captain. He's the bigger personality and probably more influential on the pitch - we play better when he's captain. FAO MLG: Some stats please??

MON Sacked / Di Canio Appointed at Sunderland
Patrick Bateman replied to Olallana's topic in The Saints
Think I agree - it's an utterly bonkers decision and a very weird time to get rid of a manager. Something else must have happened?
