  1. When did your bloke propose then Andy? Is he a One Direction look-a-like? Congrats!
  2. Likewise, my mates and work colleagues are a bit bored by it, but I've got one other along now. But it is great fun - hours of proper stuff, no messing around with sparring, just getting stuck in, learning techniques and being forced in to stress situations, brilliant. Especially after a really w**k day at work.
  3. Likewise, loved the bat sessions, best yet, especially in the stress scenarios. (off topic, but, "whatever")
  4. Some of his skills were really good today, some "Lallana-esque" - growing in to an impressive player, I think there is room for him and Rickie together this season, but next season, I can see him leading the line.
  5. Yawn.
  6. So he gets 1 in 5 wrong? For a "pundit", I don't think that's very good actually, I reckon most of us could equal that if we did the same week in week out!
  7. Marching In - I forgot you did that! Did you start that when we were at college ... 20 years ago ... (scary)? Dave also did the "official" Saints site didn't he during that period? I think we must have been one of the only clubs to have an "official" site!?
  8. Ahhh, Saintslist, I forgot about that! I spent too much of my early working life reading emails from you lot from about 96, 97 I guess?? Does it still exist??
  9. Agreed. I actually thought it was one of the best autobiographies I've read. People may hate Keane, but he worked REALLY hard to get where he got to and people may hate Man Utd and Sir Alex, but Keane is right - there is something about that team (well, Fergie) that makes players play to their very best every week.
  10. Ah ********, well I'm lost then, too many with the same bloody name!!
  11. Sorry mate, I didn't see the reply underneath Turkish's reply - it is this one I meant; http://www.thesportscafe.com/london/...eFor=30/1/2013 It's on the new Mezzanine at Waterloo, opposite where Eurostar used to go from before it moved to St. Pancras. I might actually stop in on my way home to watch if their site is right and they ARE showing it? Might be worth a phone call to check ... ?
  12. You mean the new one on the mezzanine opposite the old Eurostar terminal? That's actually quite a nice bar.
  13. Agreed, it's a total non-story as usual.
  14. haha, remember it well - I can't remember what he did to deserve it now
  15. Those were indeed the best days of the internet - no social media morons, no Twitter, just good old p*ss-taking on the banter forums and proper football talk. Been using 'Patrick Bateman' since the Network54 days. As Turkish says, 14 years ago ... that's scary.
  16. "I want to punch you in the head to make it round, it'll help you head better"
  17. "Southampton Football Club spokesman Jordan Sibley said the restriction on where vox pops could be carried out had been in force for a long time. He said this was down to the stadium’s health and safety guidelines because the club would be liaible if a photographer with a camera injured someone on its land. But he added there was public land at the front of the stadium where journalists could carry out vox pops." It's a sad state of affairs when the club are probably only doing this to ensure they don't get fined by some numpty who wants to blame someone and get a "no win no fee" solicitor to get him money for the cut on his head. But personally, I don't want to hear the opinion of some chubby fan frothing at the mouth, neither would I give mine. I'd also manage to steer clear of a camera and not injure myself. What a sad country this is.
  18. Ungrateful little sh*t ... Southampton gave your country football, learn some respect.
  19. Are you trying to be funny? Doesn't look depressed to me talking away to Yoshida; https://twitter.com/officialsaints/status/293736301189029888/photo/1/large
  20. Is SSNSources one of those spoof accounts? I can never tell these days. FFS.
  21. @SSNSources BREAKING: Philippe Coutinho is having a medical at Southampton after he rejected a move to Liverpool. More soon. #SSN ??????
  22. I have this on in the background, looked up a few times - you can see where Pochettino's managerial style has come from - Unless I'm very much mistaken, Argentina of 2002 look like they are playing the same way as he wants Saints to play. Oh and Danny Mills is playing for England :/
  23. Too difficult to call; could be anyone from (at a push) West Ham down, although I don't think they'll actually go down. There are some "bigs" teams in Newcastle and Villa and a team with serious financial backing in QPR who could all pull away as they all have the ability to string some results together with the players they have (or can buy in this window). That leaves Reading, Wigan, Norwich, us and possibly Fulham - although again, I don't think they'll end up down. I'll take a punt on Reading (20th), Wigan (19th) and QPR (18th). Villa 17th.
  24. hah! I love football and the varying opinions. For what it's worth, I thought he was excellent last night and has been getting better and better. As weird as this now sounds, our defence doesn't scare me; I feel Boruc will claim the ball, I feel calm that Clyne and Shaw will outpace the wingers and get back and make the crucial tackle/shepherd them away from danger and Yoshida does have a subtle strong quality about him. Fonte obviously been very good too, Jos has come in and done well. What a difference!
