Something I always wondered about The Dell

I bought 3 X A3 size squad posters from the club shop after the Yeovil match - 50p each. What a great buy! Fixtures and all...and got a Ricky Lambert autograph on 2 of them as well from the open day. Magic! -
What was the attendance by the way? Papa looked like the most exciting player here for a while and had the best crowd reaction I can remember since Theo graced St Marys. Is this the first skillful player with pace that we've had since then? The 'Ole's showed how much in control of the game we were in. We didn't have to go mad as we were 2-0 up with no fear of losing. It was such a change to have minimal nerves as the game came to a close! An enjoyable stress free sunny afternoon...how un-Saints like!

finally a saints striker who you can feel confident in scoringa penalty!!! -
I too am having techy problems entering my prediction. So can I go for 2-2. Cheers!

Great articulate post which contrasts strongly with negative mutterings on the 4-4-2 thread.
-
As was quoted earlier the 4-4-2 piece was written before the takeover and pre Pardew, Harding, Murty and Lambert were signed. Pardew stated 2 weeks ago that the season had come 3 weeks to early. Pretty much every other club are more prepared than us. We should be grateful that we have a club and no debt.
-
Must admit...I miss Cope and the old Radio Hants/The Saint build up and the 'Third Half'. Is there a chance that they'll bring it back (on 'Play' perhaps?).
-
Yep. Just watching it now!

New signing expected shortly (no idea who I migth add)

If we're talking about Cheryl Cole surely we'd be thinking outside and inside the box! Ahem. -
Can see us leading up until the 70th-ish minute then they'll score and we'll hit the post a couple of times...1-1. I can feel it in me waters!
-
To be fair it would have been a different result with Kelvin, Thomas, Gillet, and Rasiak playing. I would have thought it was an opportunity for AP to look at how 'up for it' the more peripheral team players were - and to 'up' Stern's match sharpness.
-
Wotton (Pen), Patterson, John and Mills (?). Not absolutely sure about Mills though...
-
We were sat next to Gillet and Thomas who came down to spectate (which I thought was a nice touch). The team started to play once Pardew made his presence known in the Technical area, before then it was a half arsed performance where Salisbury always seemed first to the ball. Most passes went astray and the midfield seemed non existent. The two plus points were that Patterson took his goal well and it was nice to see Stern score again!

Now get creative with the beer & food sales

I must admit it seemed worse than ever today. We didn't even bother queueing because we knew we'd miss some of the footie. -
To be fair I can imagine Crouch paying to watch Saints as he is a true fan. I can't imagine Lowe paying despite claiming to be a fan although this is obviously pure conjecture! I wouldn't have a problem with either coming to SMS as long as they paid.

1664, San Miguel, Bud would do it for me. Pre poured would be great, plus it's to the clubs' advantage to maximise match day profits. It a relatively simple process to sort out - why don't they? Love the idea of a Wetherspoons in the Concourse. I always drink in the King Alfred before the match but would rather have a pint in the ground, watching the footie on Sky - would be great!

I'll be there if it's not raining. Apparently the away bit is uncovered. By the way I'm a left side fan. Mods, can we have a poll please!!?

Yodel-ay-ee-hooooo!!!!!

Ha ha! Sorry. it's just I was just about to say to my wife the other day that I was going to wait for Master Bates' update before I went to work - but I decided not to 'cause it just sounded weird!!! Plus hopefully the deal will be completed today - so the Echo news will be insignificant from now on...
-
Hopefully this will be the last time that I'll be living in this bizarre world where I wait for Echo reports from someone named Master Bates!
-
...and the FL are happy to watch us go to the ground, despite the fact that if it wasn't for us there would be no Theo or Cranie...short sighted b**tards.

'Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright) - Rod Stewart. 'Any Dream Will Do' - Andrew Lloyd Webber.

'The Last To Know' - Del Amitri.

Was at my son's kids tournament in South Newton near Salisbury and I didn't see one Pompey top, but loads of Saints shirts - so it's not all doom and gloom! Plus they got to the final - so a good day out!
