  1. What is your point? It's a democracy, surely the more people engaged in politics, the more information the electorate have the better?
  2. Well they have been proved to be popular with the viewers so it's a shame that the two donkeys we have to choose between couldn't be arsed. Just shows up what an outdated farce the old red v blue ****** is. No wonder young people can't be bothered to vote, a choice between a bunch of snobs or union infested weirdos.
  3. I take it the remoaners among us will be voting Lib Dem then? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2017-39942573
  4. Shame the red and blue 'leaders' couldn't be arsed to debate live. Says it all about the state of our voting system.
  5. The whole red v blue system just makes voting a pointless exercise for huge amounts of the population. I have never voted for anyone other than Lib Dems my whole life purely because where I live it's just a straight choice between them and the Tories - a vote for anyone else is not even worth the walk down to the polling station. We end up with a choice between a bunch of complete c**ts in the blue corner vs a bunch of idiots in the red to run the country - great!
  6. Because the system that defines how much your job is worth is not fair, it is defined by market forces. A functioning society needs carers as much as it needs bankers yet one group can barely afford a house to live while the other can earn millions on the click of a mouse. If people were paid more purely by how hard they worked you would have a point but they are not.
  7. If the amount you earned was directly proportional to how hard you worked I would agree, but it's not. The system is getting more and more skewed, it's fair that the rich should pay more IMO, and I include me in that.
  8. To be fair, there is plenty of wealthy people who could pay more. I'm not rich but both me and my other half are above average earners and this austerity stuff is just something we see on the news. Fact is if you have a half decent income and own your own property low interest rates and low inflation has made these 'hard times' a piece of ****. Eouldn't even notice a few pence on tax - problem is the usual swivel-eyed, greedy Tories squeal like a baby at the thought of helping out.
  9. Yeah, because Corbyn's nefarious links would never have been scrutinised before today.
  10. A3 - it's obviously going to be a Tory landslide. B1 - just for the humour value.

    Marine A

It's naive to think this sort of thing doesn't happen all the time out there. He only got caught because the plod stumbled across the video footage - none of his colleagues even made a complaint. It's obviously wrong but these guys shouldn't even be out there. If we send our young men and women out to these hell holes to face the worst sights imaginable we should cut them a bit of slack in situations like this. We are certainly in no position to judge.

    Marine A

Is the Geneva convention even relevant in this type of warfare when you are dealing with insurgents who are not in uniform and carry out suicide attacks posed as civilians? Marine A should have been given a slap on the wrist, told not to do it again and have kept his job IMO.
  13. But using those tactics away to Liverpool is how we got to Wembley, and Leicester won the league by not worrying about conceding possession and hitting on the break. It's probably the best way of a club like ours actually winning something.
  14. Would be harsh to sack him after getting us to our first major final in donkeys years. This season was effected by the fact that we had a Europa cup campaign but not the strength in depth to cope with it. Plus we replaced our two top scorers with Redmond. If we had signed Gabbi in the Summer and didn't have Europe to worry about we wouldn't be far off Everton This season IMO.
  15. Why would they do that though? We are leaving the EU regardless, any interference from the Lords will just mean we leave without a deal on WTO rules.
  16. I agree the model will need to change but in the short term we could easily pay a bit more tax. My little girl was ill last Monday and being a bank holiday we had to go to a drop in centre at the Royal South Hants (they've shut the one at Bitterne) and it was like something from the 3rd world. Some poor little kid must have been waiting there for two hours in agony with blood ****ing out his mouth. The poor NHS staff were working flat out like they were on a production line.
  17. I disagree, there are plenty of people who could pay more tax, the problem is people are too greedy/tight nowadays. Because of low inflation and interest rates, if you are in a half decent job and own your own home these last few years of 'austerity' have been a piece of ****. Me and the mrs are not rich but we are both above average earners - we wouldn't have even noticed a few percent extra in tax. Austerity is just something I read about in the papers or see on TV.
  18. I'm not saying they will win many seats, just saying it would help get a softer Brexit if they did. there is no way Labour, Lib Dem or SNP MPs would vote for a hard Brexit whereas May and her lot want us out the customs union and single market which will inevitably mean WTO rules.
  19. Of course he won't, I've never said I thought he would be.
  20. Labour is finished. Hopefully this GE will be a bit of a watershed where they get all but wiped out and these momentum fools take over what is left and a new centre left party is set up. The Lib Dems need a rebrand anyway, makes sense for a new labour type party to merge with them. I'm happy for a Tory majority to see us through Brexit and let them live or die on its success. If Brexit is a failure then the Tories won't have much future afterwards.
  21. Any revolt within her party is irrelivant if there are enough labour, lib dem and SNP MPs in Parliament. They would not vote for a hard Brexit. It's a simple concept to grasp, the more pro Europe MPs the better, the left sided parties are more pro Europe.
  22. It's not exactly going to be hard for him to talk the mongs round though is it? Just say what great fans they are, bang on about history for a bit and he's in.
  23. But the Eurosceptic MPs are all Tories.
  24. I'd rather have a manager who gives a ****e to be honest. We are not a top club, top clubs have the Champions League to worry about and the strength in depth to stick their reserves out in these games.
  25. I doubt they give a ****e what majority May gets, or who is PM - it makes no difference to them. The EU hardliners will be loving May's little outburst because it will push any moderates round to their view and make the EU's tough stance more pallitable to the European electorate - who they would give a ****e about.
