2500 is the most we have ever taken to Millwall, both at the Old and New Dens. We all know that if this was any other london club with 3,000 tickets we would have sold out.
No, but in 3 years time when we have a 40,000 capacity stadium playing those giants Swansea City in the Premier league 36,000 + will turn up paying £40 a ticket........ oh maybe not.
So, what do you do then, its the play-off final Saints are under the cosh protecting a 1-0 lead with 20 mins to go. Do you replace a striker with another midfielder and pack the midfiled? Do you replace a striker with another striker to add fresh legs to the attack? Maybe add a defender and play 5 accross the back? or do you leave it just incase the goalkeeper gets injured?
Yes, have to agree with you. Also we have been playing "reserve" teams in the FA Cup for a few seasons now. Its the same as we will take 3,000 to Palace / West Ham / Watford (If the allocation alowed) for league games but we have NEVER taken the bottom tier at Millwall (3000).
I Would like to think we would have those kind of numbers (and you could argue we should) but feel it will be less than 1500 maybe even less than 1000.
Why the **** would ESPN want to choose Saints v Millwall? Not that its much better but they will have Sheff Wednesday V Blackpool as at least there is chance of an upset.
