  1. Thought the same, and with Gazzaniga off to Spurs maybe the Alaves keeper might be being lined up.
  2. I meant as a teammate, in cooperation with, not next to.
  3. Would like to see McCarthy get games at some point as he certainly has the pedigree to be competition for Forster, but it would be a case of whether the manager has the bottle to make that decision - the bumper contract suggests Reed and Co. see him very much as our number one. I think FF is the epitome of a confidence player, so if we can get Hoedt and Van Dijk in front of him and perhaps a new attacking option to provide some consistency and cohesion in the final third we can forget the frailties for a while.
  4. Good call! Shame about Philip Seymour Hoffman - a shoe in for Ronald Koeman.
  5. Melissa McCarthy as Kat, Jackie Chan as Gao and Gregg Wallace as Les Reed.
  6. As much as it pains me fair play to Everton on this one, a great signing and alongside Schneiderlin likely to be formidable!
  7. Definitely a wait and see moment. Although we are obviously in a much stronger position in 2017 it feels strangely like the reverse takeover with Lowe in terms of unknown quantity.
  8. He would gain a lot of credit if he said they can have him for all of the Coutinho money plus Sakho. Just for the giggles...
  9. That's the crux!
  10. Wrights punditry is based on his fixed mindset (sic) and continuing delusion that it's still the early 90s and nothing has changed since in terms of hierarchy and structure [much has changed since]. He's not alone in this, he's just the thickest of the thick.
  11. Our former skipper, he was great, come on Virgil integrate, We hate Pompey, we hate Pompey, we hate Pompey! That'll do it.
  12. Been on the Night Nurse again! I think he's very perceptive in his analysis!
  13. We paid £13 million for him, that's all we are owed if we take a stance. Let the cry baby rot in the reserves with multiple fines and an on hand psychologist to improve his 'mindset'.
  14. Damning.
  15. 10th with better football and more points than last season.
  16. A thing of beauty really :-D
  17. We are more of a fibreglass cabin cruiser to be honest. Once Nelly takes the helm it will be plain sailing.
  18. But couldn't pay the pie bill! ;-)
  19. I'm just hoping for rest of the best!
  20. So, the only thing stopping Lander buying the club is the 'financial transaction' (the money) and the main reason for negotiations continuing is Liebherr's friendship with Goa's daughter Nelly (who we must assume is corruption / assassination free) - what a delightful mess.
  21. Over the last decade we are, apart that they won their League Cup final.
  22. With takeover hopes / plans fading we are likely to be in for a fairly quiet summer IMHO, VVD is our prime asset hence the current no sale position to attract incoming investors. Season ticket sales may well be down, but fans are very much a secondary revenue stream to broadcasting nowadays so the frustrations of supporters are somewhat irrelevant to the Board (any Board...). Expect a few youngsters and a couple of squad players from overseas unless a star is sold off. We have a mid table squad, and we are a mid table club, all about safety and investment protection for KL at the moment not risk. We have a charismatic manager and a great kit to look forward to - forget about the marquee signings, won't happen!
  23. Great news, and a natural for the sweeper role going forward!
