  1. I'd still prefer him to be honest.
  2. Shades of Olivier Bernard.

    Recent form

The buck stops with Puel, and at the moment the side are playing without cohesion or belief - second best all over the park. Someone mentioned on another thread that it's becoming reminiscent of the Portvliet / Wotte experiment in terms of listlessness and men v boys. When Saints sacked Adkins, as much as I liked Nigel, I thought he had taken the club as far as he could in terms of the Board's ambitions. I would be overjoyed if he was appointed now to save this season - that's where we are.
  4. Absolute moribund dogsh*t! Even the Les Reed fluffing crew on here must be getting despondent!
  5. Yes, he was a narcicisstic megalomaniac, but he was our narcicisstic meglomaniac! If Marcus had survived I think he would still be here, despite the tales of solid gold toilet seats etc. He was our Donald Trump, Reed by comparison is Paul Nuttall.
  6. If our transfer window business is concluded at a five foot third choice goalie from Nice, I reckon Leslie might have to face a few thorny questions as we stagger over the line or collapse short of it.
  7. Along with the nonchalant dropped shoulders, could be on to a winner with this one.
  8. Odds on he will drop an individual pot of Marmalade on his big toe and be out for six months.
  9. Plus our second best ever, Niemi was 1.85m. It's not the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog.
  10. And your pets...
  11. Would be very much a back up striker, aged 27 and 1 league goal in 17 appearances this term. Would certainly be a wildcard.
  12. That would be good, the Hampshire Real Madrid!
  13. If we get drawn to wear our away kit v United at Wembley, Under Armour should produce a special yellow and blue number - that would be something!
  14. Trojans to a man, so very proud. The mighty Liverpool have one League cup to show for the last decade, I genuinely think we will match that in four weeks time. Such fond memories basking in the sun following our FA cup win in 76 - propelled the club for ten years - and would love this generation to experience the same feeling. With the infrastructure we have in place now, it could become a habit. COYR.
  15. Michael O'Leary...
  16. Incredibly Branfoot managed Saints for two and a half years, sacked mid season in January I seem to recall. That was a truly vile spell for Saints. The majority of the Dell crowd had him sussed after about two matches, and the tactics were bizarre, including MLT at left back. Puel has less charisma but a better CV / dress sense.
  17. What a weird comment. What makes you say, to quote your quoted quotation, that we have "a replacement lined up"??
  18. He did indeed, but it's Les Reed...
  19. We have many opportunities, possibilities, and opportunities...
  20. Yup!...
  21. Thankfully very few people believe a word Reed says...
  22. Lovely bloke Nigel, and probably out of his depth in the Prem when relieved of his duties. He did however trust his players, and allow them to express themselves, and there was never a dull moment - all about entertainment and positivity. Claude is also treading water, but by comparison his tenure feels like drowning by attaching weights to your balls until you eventually drown...
  23. He's obviously updated the CV and primed the interview patter recently, ready for the off - somewhere in Ralphland this exists as PowerPoint show stopper just after his invention of the hotdog torpedo...

    Puel

A very interesting point. From boutique shop window to Argos. Goose fattening perhaps...
