I reckon we've been planning for a new keeper for at least the last year. There must be hundreds of keepers on the continent who could play in the Prem - I'd hope our scouts have been watching them closely.

This. No hard feelings towards the guy whatsoever, he did exactly what he was brought here to do. People constantly complain about back-up not performing when it is required of them - well this guy did.

How on earth is Guly NOT a reliable source of goals and assists? Not sure why crosses even comes into it, but if we're counting those as well - there is no way Davies would run the wings more than Guly.

Both of whom are full-backs and technical players. They're not tough tackling defensive minded players, which is the point I was making.

He didn't say he liked it, just that he hadn't seen a good one. But the adams family one above is pretty awesome.

We've always been a more "technical" academy. Produced plenty of decent to good wingers/forwards - but how many good centrebacks, keepers or hard tackling midfielders?

As I said before, the only thing Adkins did last night that I disagree with was leaving Harding in and putting Richardson on the bench. Just because Harding "did a job" against two poor teams out of position doesn't mean you should leave out one of our most underrated players. I firmly believe we would not have conceded that first goal had Richardson played, and we'd obviously have had much more threat going forward.

So he hasn't got 7 assists either then?

Just re-read this, and it sounds to me like you're suggesting Adkins simply had to pick the team and let them get on with it. Pardew signed most of the team, yes, but it wasn't his "wave of optimism and belief". That was down 100% to Nigel Adkins.

Take it like a fan from Soccer AM I assume, so "Fenners" and Charlotte Jackson.

I've defended De Ridder a lot, but he did a lot of running around without actually producing anything tonight. He should have settled into the way we play by now and he still seems off the pace. He can still turn it around though - he has clear ability when running with the ball.

Fox has not been sh*t. Anyway, what about Cork, Hooiveld, Chaplow?

No need for long winded explanations. We're second in the league. That fact alone means promotion is not only within our grasp - it's in our own hands.
