Hang on, the Devon sides have had years to get their act together and provide a decent outlet for local lads. I can not name many boys who have come out of their academies who have gone on to great things. There is a big slice of England served by under achieving clubs that probably needs a good provider to go in a help nurture the local talent. Leaving the Devon clubs to their own devices hasn't worked so maybe a bit of competition may make them up their game. They will also benefit from the lads that just fall short. This was always going to happen, we were always going to sign what would be perceived as good signings. A lesson for all, no.

Of course you can claim that one manager is better than another manager if you think their record is better. Whether RK does it at Southampton remains to be seen, but the better the manager you employ the smaller the risk of failure, but a risk remains.
