That makes little sense to your original point. You said tonight's Man Utd vs Palace game "doesn't affect us", but if they lose it then we would be able to close the gap to only 2 points at the weekend. So how does that mean tonight's game doesn't make a difference to Saints?

Why doesn't it? If Palace beat Man Utd and Saints beat Villa by the end of the weekend we'll be only 2 points behind (plus have a better GD). Man Utd's game in hand over Saints is on 10th May vs West Ham, they both can't win that match so some points will be lost by one or both of them.

To say they are playing well is very generous. The quality of play and passing in this game from both teams is horrific, so many unforced passing errors from both of them!

Why is Liverpool finishing 5th & winning the Europa League more realistic than Saints overtaking a West Ham side only 2 points ahead of them and getting 7th? West Ham & Man Utd's game in hand is against each other, they can't both win it.

That is one example out of thousands and thousands of sponsorship deals, it is hardly common enough to think Saints would do the same.

Because by being the shirt supplier they already have their name on the shirt and are paying Saints a great deal of money. Why would they fork out even more money that Saints could get from another source?

I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion. We are only 2 points below 6th, 7th last season got us European football and possibly would again if Man Utd win the FA Cup. West Ham and Man Utd's "game in hand" over Saints is against each other. They can't both win, so points will be dropped by at least one or possibly both of them. Our remaining games are against... a relegated Villa side, a Man City who have 2 Champions League semi finals days before and after our match with them, a Spurs team who by then may have lost the title race and a Palace team who could be thinking of the FA Cup final a week later. Be positive! Again I'm not sure why you think that. The European chase dominates players in media interviews they appear focused on trying to achieve it rather than thinking of a summer on the beach. They aren't comparable, the 4 years is a big difference. As I said, its very different playing non league as a late developer in late teens early 20's to playing in the 8th tier aged 25.
