To be fair, our success in the transfer market has been abysmal since we went down. Actually, the last season in the Prem wasn't much better either. Whilst in this league we have had a succession of pony and disappointing signings. IMO at least all of these were failures: Hajto Ostlund Powell Brennan Kosowski (Loan) Pele Sarmiento (Loan) Viafara Licka Hammil (Loan) Pericard (Loan) Plus the ones this season. How can a club sign so many dump players?!

Will be interesting to see where BWP ends up next season. I can't see us offering him a new contract and he has hardly played this season. He'll probably get a lower level club in the C'ship, on the strength of his name.

E's have been cheaper than a pint for ages, cos they're unfashionable. Everyone is into MDMA powder which is about £35 a g (I think) and Coke (god knows why). Same thing happened to acid, in the mid-90's it was cheap as chips, whilst E's were £15 a go. Allegedly.

I dunno, I seem to remember a cracking free-kick attempt from Beatts in a 1nil loss there. 45 yards out, 20 yard run up, ended up about 45 yards wide.

The Penguin Club (used to be Jolies), also with the Penguin Bar next door. Top place. Cert 18 did gigs there and I remember seeing Fabio & Grooverider, Doc Scott & Andy C, Danny Rampling, Tony De Vitt. Real shame when it closed, even more when someone burned it to the ground! Anyone remember Bar Cuba, underground, not far from the Joiners? As for Thursdays/Dog & Duck - I'm glad they blew that place up! No-ones mentioned Schooners either. LOL, saw plenty of fights in there, ruffage!

TBF, £15m-£20m for a player they bought for £5m, a season and a bit ago is great business. Just can't understand why Wenger let him go without giving him a proper chance.

I agree. Whilst women can go all 'oooh' and 'ahhhh' at a load of fags in their Chippendale style emails without any recourse. This is where society has gone wrong imo; a swift return to 50's values would restore the backbone in this country.
