Have to laugh really at the comments about the team sele tion. Other than the crass stupidity of playing Forster the team was only 2 players short of our best available team, 3 at most, and some on here think Romeu should be shipped out. Redmond on at HT and arguably that was the best team. Elyounoussi is clearly total garbage and needs to go but it was the performance of the team that was disappointing, can only think they were capping themselves knowing Desparate Dan was between the sticks.

How can that be, he is our most creative player? Takes nearly all corners and free kicks but hasn't directly created one goal. Apparently he is most creative because he has highest number of key passes, most of which are recorded as coming from set pieces. He's done well for parts of this season, 7 goals is decent for an AM, can't fault that, but the nonsense of him suddenly being creative is just that, nonsense.

Wouldn't have Bednarek on the left, he showed he cannot play there against Newcastle. I like Bednarek but he was awful there.

Interested to see whether he plays Jan or Jack on the left. Bednarek was bad when he played on the left (of a three) and made a lot of mistakes, Stephens was OK on the left rather than his preferred right. Hopefully then Bednarek on the right, Stephens on the left. Ramsay as backup, surprised that Alfie Jones was not in the squad considering he was in the training pics. Not great when we only have 2 recognised CBs, just highlights that we need to add (rather than replace) at CB next season.

This is the basic reason, fitness/stamina. Instilling this half way through the season is almost impossible and some players will never get to these levels. Needs a good preseason of hard work and some changes of personnel in order to play the fast pressing game Ralph wants and be fit enough for 95 minutes.

Hopefully won't make the mistake of playing Bednarek on the left again like he did against Newcastle. Play him on the right with Stephens on the left again and I'd go same team as you. Would like to get Lemina in but would have to be in place of JWP so probably won't happen.

As things stand, the position is little different than it was before today, except there is one less game for the others to catch us up. OK if Cardiff get something from the Scousers that might put a different perspective on it, but really don't think they will. Really shouldn't have expected anything today if we are honest.
