  1. Mings wasn't released be ause he was too small, that is just myth and nonsense. He was released following our Relegation from the Championship, the whole youth budget was reduced, some say axed, at the time of the takeover. Tyrone's father, Adie was a youth coach and he was let go as well, and it wasn't done in a particularly nice way, which soured the relationship with Saints, and means there was never any chance of us getting him back, even if we had wanted. Don't know all the ins and outs so can't say whether the blame lay with Lowe or Cortese but that's what happened. Mings came through the Bath satellite academy, he is a Chippenham lad (Adie was manager and DoF of the Bluebirds, and was Scout for Chelsea after he left Saints).
  2. What are the odds on Paddy Power? Hope he really checks them out, they do have the ability to become the next basket case club. Really do hope he can get a decent job, he deserves it for being one of the most decent blokes out there, sadly these days that doesn't count for much.
  3. The OP only asked us to rank the 8 LBs he listed. Whether or not others are better or worse than these 8 is completely immaterial. The only argument I would have with his list is for Danny Fox to be anywhere but last.
  4. He really isn't. Well respected young fella, very level headed and has worked hard to overcome some difficulties in his young life. Round here you won't hear much said against him.
  5. About 2 million times better than Savage or Lawro. Savage in particular is about as bad as it is possible to be, Lawro is just dull and crap.
  6. He didn't. He was left trying to defend against two by his fellow defenders who were hopelessly out of position (Bednarek I think).
  7. Jones and O'Connor both played full game for the Gills today, won 5-0 though it was against Bolton-12
  8. Assume it was a 2nd yellow not a straight red.
  9. Seems that Moi is having a medical somewhere in Europe (German?) (even though he was training yesterday).
  10. Moi and Hoedt are definitely still traiing, they show up frequently in the training pics. No sign of Carillo or Lemina though as far as I can see.
  11. Its not that simple at all. Of course they could have done it, but the problem with Bury has been corruption and mismanagement. Giving money to a corrupt/incompetent owner doesn't solve a problem. The problem has come about because the EFL allows any tom, **** or harry to take ownership of a club, its tests for ownership competency are a nonsense (the PL is no better of course). Giving handouts to the Bury FC Club under its current ownership would be crass stupidity. The EFL could perhaps have taken temporary ownership, maybe that was a way out, but they won't do that. In the end much of the problem that has arisen here comes back to the incompetence of the EFL.
  12. Bury's fixtures were suspended by the EFL.
  13. It's not back, they look very ordinary, very poor at the back, hit and miss up front. The team is made up of very average (for Man U) players with a small sprinkling of stars, Pogba is blowing hot and cold. Defence slow and leaky. Outside of Liverpool and Citeh, all the others are there for the taking at the moment.
  14. Played 90 mins for last 4 games incl tonight. Playing LW, 2 assists, no goals, 1 yellow.
  15. Adam's what? ?
  16. Do they? Man U not even in the top division, Man City and Scousers were bottom 2 before tonight. Admittedly they may do well in the International competition. Spurs, Chelsea and Arse I'll give you, but who are top 4 these days anyway?
  17. Meant to add maybe he will appear at Forest Green next week.
  18. Not in the u23s squad tonight either (Marcus Barnes is on the bench, no loan to Monaco as yet then). Can only think Hesketh is injured, if we had released him I'm sure an EFL club would have snapped him up. Love the new openness from the Club ?
  19. Should we rest Hojbjerg as well then? Gets booked more often than OR. Djenepo as well.
  20. Taken a long time to respond. Yes there has nearly always been offside, it has always been there to prevent what we know as goal hanging, even before the modern laws were.odicied. It is the only reason for the offside law. Clearly you have no understanding of the Sheffield laws, nothing to do with a region, it is where and how the game of association football developed. Involved in Sunday League thanks in the 80s, lines didn't even exist then, it was just the job of the opposition manager to give everything possible to stop the opposition scoring, most of them wouldn't have re ognised the offside law if it came up and bit them in the bum.
  21. We look appalling with a back 3 as well. It could just be that we are appalling.
  22. We don't have anyone with the title "coach" or "assistant manager". Like KD, DW and CF he will be a First Team Assistant Coach. The Coach they are assisting is Ralph. You may be right that because Rohl was Assistant manager RK is not a direct replacement, whether he is seen as senior to the 3 other assistant coaches remains to be seen, but it seems to be the inference from the announcement in the Echo "Saints have appointed Richard Kitzbichler as the new assistant to Ralph Hasenhuttl". Anyway, bottom line is that he has replaced Danny Rohl in terms of numbers, whether or not he has replaced his role, which was the point of your post (numbers of bums on seats in the dug out)
  23. He has replaced Danny Rohl, so no more than there would have been. Whether Craig Fleming gets a seat is another matter, as he was promoted to first team during the summer.
  24. Are you sure it was Saints and not some dodgy call centre in India (or China) trying to fix your Windows PC.
