  2. Whoever's size 9s appear in the 2 photos should look out for an equine delivery soon if this turns out to be the real kit. Have to say it looks crap, and that's nothing to do with the lack of stripes which is why I'm still not convinced this is it. Quality appears to be rubbish, especially compared with last season's shirts. So Liverpool last year, Arsenal next, thank feck we didn't copy Chelski there would have been real fury.
  3. Think I might just wait until 9am tomorrow before passing judgement.
  4. Hardly tons, and Bale is not English of course. Out of that list the only world class players really are Rooney and Scholes in my humble opinion. I guess people would add Beckham even though I think he is vastly over-rated. Apart from Wilshere who is not proven yet, none of those have come through in the last 5 years or so. Our coaching in this country is crap, compared to elsewhere in Europe, we may have a few stars who come through but it is in spite of our coaching not because of it. Our players are not coached how to use the ball, how to retain possession, they are simply taught to get rid as soon as possible or to be athletes. The only clubs where players are coming through with these talents in this country are those with foreign coaches, such as Swansea and ourselves and a few others. Unfortunately the English FA are so far up their own arses that they cannot see this. There is no reason why we cannot produce high quality players in this country other than a need to teach properly from the grass roots level upwards, and that will take 10 years before the results are seen at the top level.
  5. Can't see Saints or Cardiff giving in, and unlikely Celtic would reduce their asking price. Only way now that Vic will leave Celtic is if another club comes in with the asking price and accepts the agent fees. The kid could have scuppered his move unwittingly by having such crackpot advisors.
  6. Excellent, another Ecuadorian, we have a good track record with them. Another CB as well, we are already overloaded, although perhaps the quality could be improved, at least 2 will need to go if we sign this guy as well. Would rather see some movement in the LB/RB positions and a striker (we know we need MF as well but its clear that is happening one way or another)
  7. Very little if any evidence to link Cortese with Berlusconi in fact. Other than tittle tattle on forums there is remarkably little to show they even knew each other. Indeed when Milan supposedly came looking for Cortese when we were in League One it was not Silvio who contacted him but a representative from the Northern League Party. If they were friends or even acquaintances would not SB have contacted the man himself? When he was working at the Swiss Bank his office had many clients in top realms of sport including SB. I think you are on at best shaky ground Art, but if you want to believe gossip and rumour that abounds on forum such as these go ahead if it suits your agenda. Just watch out for the horse heads.
  8. The negative thing here is that everyone else knows it as well.
  9. Pot kettle black
  10. If you had read the article you would know.
  11. Maybe now he's 22 he will have grown up a little Happy Birthday Vic
  12. Think we are full up now with CBs, currently have at least 7 on our books including Martin and Stephens and with others who can play there at a push.
  13. Its a chocolate bar, and in this case it is deep-fried.
  14. Well that really wouldn't be difficult would it. I would suggest the word "nearly" may be superfluous with the possible exception of VMan.
  15. Why should football agents be different to all other employment agencies?
  16. Cardiff were reported yesterday or the day before as no longer being interested when the £10M fee was quoted. They are not in the race to sign Vic any longer, hence why they are not quoted in the odds. I don't recall where this was quoted but it was.
  17. Must admit I'd never heard of him, but found this interesting article from January 2012. Maybe the bit about millions of Indonesians buying his jersey is something Saints are aware of. Trouble is they would all need to visit the Megastore I suppose http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2012/01/12/2842728/from-indonesian-king-to-juventus-inter-ac-milan-target-why-radja- Only question is why he did not move to Milan as expected?
  18. Why would he want to wear 67 for Saints? You do know why he chose that number*? 76 would be more appropriate when he joins us but I think PL rules don't allow these "random" numbers. *In honour of the Lisbon Lions
  19. He's 22 in 3 days, we should sing happy birthday. Perhaps he will wear 76 for us rather than 67 he wears for Celtic.
  20. What about the Ted Bates Trophy?
  21. Shame, would prefer to see him go to a club that will give him proper coaching and game time in a team that plays the right sort of system/football, that probably would mean Europe but would be better for his development as a Saints player than a stretch in with the cloggers and English coaches.
  22. Maybe this is what he meant by "playing at a higher level". Hoof.
  23. Is Robbie Cabbage made up? Seems quite appropriate to me.
  24. This is dragging on, is Ever Ready to sign for us or not?
  25. Do you mean the 2-0 home defeat? If so it made no difference we were 1-0 down and we would not have scored if we had played until midnight.
