**** me they're a precious bunch those Stokey's aren't they? You see way more class and much less of a chip on Vale's shoulders. Vale are a much better set of fans to be fair Personally i'm not sure what's more embarrassing the squiniying of the Stoke fans about what people have said on the internet, or the suck ups on their forum from us that have run over there to try and play best mates. Fu,ck 'em, in my lifetime they've always been a smaller club than us (and Stokey's if you're reading this that's well over 30 years), and let's not beat around the bush Stoke is a dump - though the surrounding areas are decent - plus everytime i've been i've seen more United shirts than Stoke so i'm not sure why they're calling people plastic. Of course i'm sure they can show when they got 30k in league one right? Nah' can they fu,ck, they were lucky to even get 10k in the lower leagues. Hi Stoke fans suitably angry yet?

Alternative table - fixture compensated race for Europe
ericb replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
You can't tell me you didn't watch that first half (up to the sending off) thinking "we'll be bloody lucky to get a draw out of this!". Swansea were by far the better side and we were being run ragged, in a very similar way and style to the way that Spurs did actually. -
Alternative table - fixture compensated race for Europe

we were also murdered by Swansea until we had a massive stroke of luck and their best player got sent off. Not belittling our current position or form but lets leave talk of europe for later in the season eh? It's hardly a surprise a lot of other fans think we're arrogant with all this chat of making Europe through the league. Personally i'm just enjoying each game and loving the fact we're playing decent football, winning well and 3 divisions above the skates! There's enough bloody americanisms in football as it is, can we please stop the word ties creeping in as it's seems to be doing more and more (add to that Match Day x and EPL). -
This is a catch 22 game for me, i utterly hate Real for everything they stand for (fascist past and galactico present) but for one night i'll forget that and hope they give Liverpool an Oz style prison rape.

To be honest with you i couldn't give a flying **** about his attitude or whether you believe him or not. What you are doing is the football equivalent of the vichy government. Positively reinforcing a position (absurdly high ticket prices in modern football) that is damaging to almost every fan in the country, ruining atmospheres and turning our game into a leisure time of the elite. Personally i think every single one of us should be backing the position that it's too damn expensive, showing solidarity for all people who feel they're priced out, and not mocking or belittling our own to win an internet argument. Because if we don't do that then a whole swathe of people who are priced out will just be made to feel worthless, because in some people's eyes it's obviously affordable because we can compare our prices to others who's are equally expensive (which means it's not bad right?). But yeah i'll wind my neck in, because i can afford the season ticket i've had for 20+ years, and i can afford the train travel i do for every game, because i'm alright jack.
-
I'm sorry are you really getting on the back of a fellow fan who feels it's now to expensive for him to go to games and take his two sons!? Or do you seriously think that current ticket pricing is in anyway sane, fair or reflective of a lot of the people that support our club? If you want to talk about embarrassing how about taking a look at yourself, because i'd be seriously ****ing embarrassed if i mocked even a single fan that felt they'd been priced out of the game.

Memory might be playing tricks but if i remember rightly it was just before Matty took the penalty duties away from Ruddock? Season after we started playing the most ridiculously attacking football i've ever seen and still goes down as one of my favourite times as a Saints fan. Stood at the back of Milton as close to being "under the roof" as possible watching us rip teams to pieces with all out attack. Nicholl was and still is one of my favourite ever Saints managers, got dogs ear abuse towards the end of his time here though sadly.

Was that Newcastle at home? The game that basically relegated them and kept us up.

To be fair you can understand the touchiness, it is a big period (i'll get my coat)

What worries me the most is that a referendum to leave europe could be won by those who make 13 year old "jokes" on names, without taking into account the terrible impact it would have on our economy, because a few people are tugging at emotional heart strings that are often not based in reality.

except you don't know the circumstances or conditions so it's probably best to take a news report with a pinch of salt at the moment and wait for real medical or scientific reports that don't have an agenda (in this case the sale of newspapers).

Accommodation for 6 in Paris. Any recommendations?

Airbnb is fantastic, so much better value for money than hotel websites and you tend to get far better locations for your money too. -
There is so much unnecessary scaremongering about Ebola. Basically unless you're transmitting bodily fluids or eating infected animals it's extremely unlikely you'll contract it. These are the guidelines on how to contract it from the World Health Organisation. http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/transmission/ The issue with Medical professionals tends to be in countries with poorer health care systems, or over worked and dirty facilities. But if due diligence is taken it's highly unlikely they'll contract it. Also the disease itself is manageable if caught early and treated properly. What is happening in some of the African countries is nothing short of a disgrace, and is in no small part linked to corruption and civil war in those areas breaking down the medical care for those most in need. The likelihood of this happening on a grand scale in rich western countries is very low, but sadly that doesn't quite make good headlines.

Would expect two or three to leave, the bigger question for me is how we replace. If we're being honest withourselves we've hit our glass ceiling so to keep going we need to build a clever and proven scouting team, that'll be what sets us apart from the rest of the pack.

With every year i get closer and closer to stopping going altogether and it's things like this that are the reason. I'm absolutely ****ing sick of the premier league, champions league and greed that goes with it. Part of me wishes for a total collapse in football so we can kick these ****s out and start again.

To be honest i use nearly every single handset daily in my job (and every tablet too) and i'd say they're much of a muchness. My professional opinion is that Apple devices are still the market leader in nearly every area of the technology, but are starting to lose ground hugely to Google. But with Google comes major privacy issues, which is my main reason for never getting an Android phone. UI wis i personally think the one that nails it the best is ironically Windows, their phones have an utterly beautiful UX/UI design and have actually influenced nearly every other designer to join their "flat" design trend recently. I'm due an "upgrade" (i tend to buy outright rather than being locked into contracts that are a total rip off) soon and i've got to say the choice is sparse and fairly poor. For a start wide phones to me are aesthetically ugly and pretty impractical. Especially since i don't watch films on them or play games on them. I'm more worried about the sleekness of the design, quality of the build and over all design language (UI etc). Also i want access to a good browser, of which the choice is limited to Safari sadly, but that's mainly due Android's device owners feeling the need to **** around with the browsers and making them as reliable a piece of software as Internet Explorer. In terms of security/privacy though there can only be one choice, the problem is it's not reached it's funding levels yet! https://ind.ie/phone/

Mark Hughes's phantom goal for the Saints Aug 1999
ericb replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I was directly behind the goal, block 3 of the archers about 4 rows back and my memory at the time was that it hadn't gone in, i guess it's one of those that we'll never know about but i think the fuss was/is made because of the angles you used to get at the Dell meant sometimes you didn't always have the best view! -
Oh ffs United being on a monday night means i'll almost definitely not make it now as i don't finish work on time in London. ****ing Sky ******s.

Well said that man! I can't believe the double standards of some people, screaming at pompey about cheating and the rest and then calling on Saints to sustain something that's not financially viable. I seriously think there's a lot of people on here that need to stop playing so many fu/cking computer games, get their heads out their ar.ses about the size of a club we are and congratulate the board for running the club well based on it's size. We're ain't going to be Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, hell even Spurs, Villa or Everton, EVER. In the next ten years we might put a few noses out of joint, build slowly, aim for the cups and doing things the right way. Or we might find that we've just missed an opportunity with the best generation of young players we've had since Le Tiss, Wallace, Shearer, Kenna etc. and fade into mid table, end up in a relegation fight, or even get relegated. But if we do it within our means, invest in things that help the club - like the training ground, youth academy and stadium - then we'll always have a club to follow and always have a chance. Of course to you sky generation kids that will sound like a "Dell sized mentality", but you only need to look 27 miles down the road to see what happens if you don't follow a more sensible course.

Sad as it is to say i think getting him to sign it is just a way to add a few 0's on the end of any sale. Morgan's been my favourite player for a while but he's clearly good enough to be at a top European side and if he handles it the right way i doubt many will begrudge him it. I just hope to god he has more ambition than Spurs really, since i genuinely believe he could be playing for one of the top 8 sides in the world soon.

Your posts remind me of a small puppy running around in circle barking at everything that moves
-
Seems plausible, my question is was part of the agreement to quieten him down actually having an official release clause written into his contract. And if it was how much is it, or is it about a champions league side coming in...

booing? I thought we were making snake noises

Good article and shows how important having good backing has been, interesting to see if we've just got lucky with a golden period of players of if we've actually got something a bit more substantial and long term in place.
