  1. It's all about the 3 points today. By all accounts we should have won last week, so to grab this win today is sweet. I still hope a few of the players hit form soon - Pelle with his goals, Tadic with his creativity, and of course getting Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Alderweireld and now Targett fit, if we want to achieve top 4, or at least fight for it until the end of the season. Glad to have Mane though. Already seen the goal and it was a great finish. I work with a lot of QPR fans, so work will be fun tomorrow.

    Matty Targett

I grind up paracetamol and put it in my wife's dinner. Doesn't seem to make a difference. All the best to Matt. It's bad luck to lose both your left backs let alone one. Even squad strength can't factor in that. IMO if Targett is out, I'd shift Clyne across to left back and use someone else on the right like Yoshida. Clyne has showed he's versatile enough to cope.

  4. Morgan.
  5. Chelsea have a right back as a left back. Now we have a RB as a LB! :-) Good signing an a permanent, and a surprise too. I really want us to keep this team together, sign a couple of players and be a real force next season, but it'll be tough to keep Morgan, Vic, Clyne and Toby IMO. However it's nice to have our left back spot sorted for years to come.
  6. Or, as Hodgson is manager, John Stones.
  7. He's pussyed out.
  8. I reckon we could get Rickie if we wanted him. But we don't. Fair enough. Still think we need a striker.
  9. I've previously said I wouldn't want us re-signing Rickie, but I reverse that. He's still a legend and can still do a job for us, but is highly doubt he will come back anyway. Will be a good signing for Villa, but I reckon he'll stay put at Liverpool. Would be nice to get another surprise in before the window shuts.
  10. Done according to Mainz. Welcome Filip.
  11. Our manager does. And if anyone can get the best out of him, Koeman can.
  12. Or Guillem Balague if that floats your boat...
  13. Perfect deadline day: 1 midfielder and 1 striker in, Osvaldo the only out, Kate Abdo's dress falls off. Average deadline day: 1 midfielder in. Osvaldo the only out. Bad deadline day: No players in, JRod, Morgan, Clyne, Wanyama and Pellè all sold for next to nothing, Portsmouth get bought by the wealthiest sheikhs in the land, Jim White's clothes fall off and Koeman leaves for Barcelona, to be replaced by Andy Awford.
  14. Still doable but today was a game we really should be winning to get top 4. Still, all that means is we need to pick up points in a game we are less favourite to win.
  15. Perfect result. Opens the door for a spending spree on deadline day! Seriously did well in the first half but not clinical enough. Not a good day in the end.
  16. Goodbye top 4. We hardly knew ye. Punching above our weight etc etc
  17. Call the game now. Both sides 0-0. Keep both sets of players fit for the next game. Nice. (Does internetz reverse psychology work?)
  18. An anagram of Cockk Jar no less.
  19. Reed looks good. Hoping we can get an early goal in the second half or Swansea might start fancying this...
  20. Thought it was Gazzaniga
  21. I've got a bad feeling about this game, but maybe that's the pessimistic Saints fan of old talking. If we want to finish top 4, this is really one of those games we have to be winning. There in lies the pressure. That said I'm sure the lads are taking this one game at a time, and whatever the performance today we simply need the 3 points. I bet Cork makes an appearance at some point, to say hello to the Swansea fans and goodbye to the Saints, I bet Forster had one of those games he looks like the best keeper in the world, and I bet Koeman says "thatsh football" in the post match interview. I lay no money on these.
  22. IMO we'd have a false 9 scenario of Mané, Elia and Tadic, rather than starting a youth player, but I do feel we need a striker temporarily, whether we get one or not. Deadline day will be interesting as I reckon Koeman has a trick up his sleeve.
  23. Is that the same Gonzalo Jara not good enough for Forest last season?
  24. Swansea play all the 'big' sides except Chelsea for the rest of the season. Let's hope Cork can help them take some points off them to aid in in our pursuit of top 4.
  25. Bye bye Jack. Thanks for everything. (That's not the most flattering photo though.)
