  1. Surely got to be JT!
  2. Last year I started this thread: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?45072-FA-Cup-or-4th-place#.VLVfuCcgGSM to gauge people's opinions on what they'd rather have, 4th or winning the cup. I had no idea we'd actually be in with a shot of top 4! Have your opinions differed now we have a real shot of a top 4 place? Or does the FA Cup mean more to you?
  3. Exactly, we're third place and not going away. Why weaken our own chances by selling our best players to a rival? Had we been sitting in mid-table it might have happened, but not now.
  4. Me too, but the pies found me.
  5. Well that's much better. Fully deserved I say, he had a cracking game yesterday. Oh wait...
  6. Learning Falcao is on £350k a week, however true it is, made me a little bit sick and green with envy.
  7. Saints winning was Karma after Van Gaal hid Tadic's shirt and shin pads.
  8. Some juicy fixtures on the last day in the relegation battle. Leicester vs QPR and Aston Villa vs Burnley. Hull, Sunderland and WBA need to make sure they're safe by then too, as they have Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.
  9. 6th. Van Gaal will eventually find his best XI to keep Utd in the Champions League spots, and Arsenal will do what they do every year and creep in. We will also be pipped to 5th by Spurs, who after winning the League Cup receive a boost of confidence. We could perhaps have finished 4th but our run to the FA Cup final takes it's toll. In 7th is Liverpool, who could have overtaken us on the final day had we not managed a point away to City, and a Crouch hat trick for Stoke. (All from Lovren slips.)
  10. Yes, with the right transfers this month and staying clear of injury. Elia was a good start, cover where we needed it and at the right time. A top striker and centre back cover and we could be there. I still worry whether we can cope losing Forster, that is the injury/suspension that could derail our chances. No disrespect to Kelvin of course, who's done so much for us, but we're now a level or two above him.
  11. Contracts from Brendan
  12. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2015/01/11/7874562/-? F&ck off Carragher, you Scouse ****.
  13. Failing in the Champions League would still get you into the Europa anyway so it's an irrelevant question. Additionally there's the money incentive and a better chance of keeping our talent.
  14. I was going to start a thread like this but found this one. 9.5/10 for player recruitment last summer. Taider the only let down and it's not like we miss him as Reed has stepped up. 1 or 2 additions this window of the same ilk as the others and we'll be laughing.
  15. Gone up a bit today, surely! Cracking performance, at Old Trafford, live on Sky shown around the world. £40 million. :-)
  16. We have a real shot at the FA Cup too...
  17. I wish my gluteus maximus was as toned as that...
  18. At the start of the season, if you'd said we'd finish 7th or 8th, I'd have bitten your hand off. Now, with over half the season gone, 7th or 8th would be a huge anticlimax and a disappointment. A lot can happen in just 5 months...
  19. I was under the impression you cannot break a season long loan...? MLG?
  20. Oh, and Blackett is a woeful footballer who will never be good enough for Utd. That he was being talked up to make his England debut after 5 games of the season shows how ridiculous the big clubs are favoured when picking the national team.
  21. I'm going to put my house on us getting relegated, just in case we don't get that point.
  22. Dalek, are we safe yet?
  23. We've played Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd and achieved 7 points. We have every right to believe we can win this competition, but only if we field our strongest, or near strongest team. The likes of Long, Tadic, Reed and Targett may well start this game, but keep the rest as strong as possible.
  24. IMO all new posters should have to post a picture of a slutty nun to prove they're SaintsWeb material.
  25. TF it's the transfer window. Bring in a CB loanee should be a priority now. I'd rather Vic or Cork weren't our CB back ups.
