Great in League One, Good in the Championship, average in the Premier League. I love Lallana, I think he's a talented player, still fairly young and can get better, and he's done a lot for us in the lower leagues, but he's not shown much in the Prem so far to suggest he's a first choice creative midfielder. He's a great choice to have in the squad though - perhaps getting rid of the captaincy would help him.

"clubs like Southampton cannot be champions of England"
SNSUN replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Of course we'll never win the league - we're Southampton, notorious for shooting ourselves in the foot when things start going right! Seriously, before I read it already this thread, I immediately thought of the Man City argument - just a few years ago they were a nothing team fighting it out in the lower leagues. Anyone can win the league with the right financial backing. Sadly if anyone but the big six or seven won the league, it would most likely be deemed a freak occurence that would never happen again. -
Perfect. No longer will my wife have a sore arsehole when we have sex. (Because of the giant balls slapping against it, not because I took her up the wrong'un.)

He'd be a good signing if true. Can play both full back positions and only 24.

I know, I was struggling to think of any. Umm, Wayne Bridge. :-)

Oh absolutely, but she'd have to be securely tied up. The pros of having sex with the above woman possessed would be that you could do her doggy style and she could turn her head to look at you, she could spider walk down the stairs meaning she's extremely flexible in bed and you could have fun trying to out-do her with the bodily fluids eminating from each others' bodies. That, and she has big bewbs, possessed or not.

I need a ball bag bra. These big buggers have too much freedom.

Subway fires employee who put penis on bread.
SNSUN replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Muppet Show
When I read the OP, I thought he's put his penis on the bread lengthways, and would have been impressed. (More so if it had been a foot long.) Then I saw the photo. Widthways, and not making it all the way across. Poor bastard. -
I can't do an MLG, but for want of trying I'll say that Jim Magilton played in the UEFA Cup for Ipswich. :-)

That's what I'd choose too. A CB that can play at right back comfortably (have we ever had one? Wayne Thomas perhaps), a striker and an attacking midfielder or winger. I'd actually say we could do without the extra CB/RB, but we definitely do need another attacking option, even if it's only the one and it's not a striker. (I do think we'll get more than one in though. Still a long time to go yet.

If fit. And not suspended. And if he doesn't fatigue, tire or lose form. Having a replacement doesn't hurt. I'm surprised we don't look at the loan market though. I know loans aren't Cortese's favourite thing, we've not had any since League One except for Jos* (who we then went and signed anyway), but as short term cover, without taking away the opportunities from the up and coming youngsters, it's a 'fix'. Or, signing a talented lower league right back that would be happy just to be in the Premier League, fighting as much as he can to become first choice right back. And as has been mentioned, Trippier fits that role. It keeps Clyne on his toes too! *EDIT: I forgot Falque, but does he really count? :-)

Or minus £20million if your name's Andy Carroll.

So is there any news on the imminent, or not so imminent, arrival of Mr Ever Banega to this fair football club? Oh sorry, wrong board. Erm, who has a bigger willy, Banega or Wanyama? We only want big willied lads playing for us. It's the old 'giant tallywhacker' that could get us a deflection for the winning goal in the final of the Champions League in a couple of years. Every little helps, and all that. Or, to heterosexual it up a bit - what does his wife or girlfriend (WoG) look like? Answers on a postcard.

Does this mean the "vagina" page on Wikipedia is going to become popular with teenage boys? In all seriousness do things like Anonymouse work to avoid filters? Not that I'm looking for ways round the filters... :-)

I suppose because it means the next target will be AS big. Which is why now when we get linked to the, for want of a better word, "lesser" players, we feel slightly underwhelmed. Being linked to Damiao up front raises the media's eyebrows, and in turn influences the fans to do likewise. Personally I'm not concerned whether we sign a "name" up front or not, as long as he's been well researched and, most importantly, can come in, perform well and score goals.

Some big news from the Palace... ...Kevin Phillips has signed a new 1 year contract.
-
100% yes.

This - knowing Cortese, he'll have snuck something through and it will be announced at 11:23 tonight.

Dang, I'm getting closer. I believe Pochettino has said he's interested in signing Ever. There, it may be old news but it's on topic. ;-)

His middle name is Maximilliano. That's an awesome name 'cos it has an X in it. All names with an X in it are cool.

A baby born at St Mary's. I doubt OUR St Mary's will have any births, but I bet one or two may have been conceived there...

I wonder what chant we'd come up with for him - when I hear his name I immediately thing of "Whenever, Wherever" by Shakira. Just me? Ok.

Prince Cambridge CDAJFU Sign him up, he's young and probably hungry. (I bet he'll support Villa though...)
