Guly this season in the Total garage just outside Southampton. It took me an age to recognise him, despite just watching him score a header just a half hour before. In the end after looking like a stalker, I stuck him a thumbs up and got one back. I very nearly didn't do anything, which would've made him feel damn unappreciated as I was wearing full Saints kit.

That Matt Le Tissier bloke in the early noughties was special.

Lambert misses out due to this season's form, Alex is new, it HAS to be Lallana.
-
People forget Guly's a midfielder doing a job as a second striker, highlighting our lack of options up front. Great win today against a good team and promotion rivals but we do still need reinforcements in January. More of the same in the next game please.

With so many games off, it'll be good to get a jump on things. 2-1 to Saints, Lambert will score from open play.

wrapping the extra cock and balls proved particularly tricky though.

Merry Christmas to you all. I got me a Fiancee for Christmas. Chuffed.

As part of my recent Christmas shopping from Amazon, I decided to buy "Unbelieveable" narrated by David Baddiel which I'd been meaning to buy for years. MLT was quite simply a genius, I had cooked a ready meal just before watching it, and was so engrossed in the video that my meal went cold. Techinically I've been a Saints fan since 1989 but I didn't truly start following them until around 1994 when I went to my senior school, so I largely missed his earlier career. What a player, he could play on both wings and was scoring from anywhere. It's also interesting to see how good the Wallace brothers were. (Not Ray. :-)) I notice a lot of his earlier goals were less outstanding but more about dribbling from anywhere and shooting, his best goals, the ones that really stood out, seemed to happen as he got older and, erm, broader. I thought it was gutting to see the players we could have had in our current team, Walcott, Bale, Baird, Blackstock et al, but it doesn't compare to the team we could have had in the early 90's had we not sold everyone.

Depends on the size of the Turkey, there are some pretty small ones that you could get your winky right up in there, the further the better. I believe it's called neck-rophilia. Just don't do it on the dinner table on Christmas Day when someone is hacking into it with a carving knife.

My missus has mild OCD. I only noticed it when we moved in together, but she has to have EVERYTHING in its exact position. She denies it, but I proved it to one of my mates once. I moved a coaster on the coffee table just a fraction, and my Wii games that were so symmetrically stacked up I moved too, and sure enough when my missus got in from work, one of the first things she did was straighten both. I wound her up once by telling her that I'd moved one of the ornaments on the bookcase. I hadn't, but I enjoyed the half hour she spent trying to figure out what I'd moved. Me? I'm too lazy to have it.

I'm having a fricking mare at work today. Getting here was a mission itself, all the roads around Heathrow and where I live in Egham were almost undrivable, but my trusty 207 did get me here. (Though I wish I'd stayed at home now and said I couldn't make it to work!!!) The Piccadilly Line was suspended earlier because snow fell on a signal box and caused it to short circuit, setting it alight, and we had to suspend service again so the engineers could fix it. All the passengers here at Heathrow with no flights had no way of leaving the airport as there was a two hour wait for a Heathrow Express/Connect train, a two hour wait for a coach, a mile long queue for the local buses and about a two hour wait for a taxi (according to a very jolly PCSO who promptly buggered off and hid.) Service has now resumed on our line but because of a backlog in customers the station is closed due to overcrowding. All this makes me wish I'd done better at school... :-) Now I'm hiding in a back room having my lunch. It's uncertain how long I will remain back here! Hope I can get home at 2am...

The first car I owned was a 1989 Mk2 VW Golf. Bought for £550 from a lady in Windsor, I saw it while walking past. Faded paintwork but it was in good condition. Lasted me 3 years, and although I scrapped it, I could probably have sold it on for the same amount or even more. It was a basic model, but it drove so well, and for a four geared car it went like stink. I loved that little car, had my replacement car been shyte (it wasn't, my Saxo did me proud), I'd have been gutted at scrapping it.

The ultimate speed camera coming to you soon
SNSUN replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in Motoring Forum
Effective, yes. But they ****ing **** me off. I'm looking at the speedo so much to keep my speed down that half the time I don't know where the damn road is. My M3 journey down to Southampton was a pain in the butt until the finished all the roadworks, it's actually a good journey now. Hate them. My second hate is the traffic light cameras, I creep over the line with a green light with all the worry in the world, in case those damn lights change. Strangely, despite being caught by a Gatso in the past, I don't mind them. I live on a main road, in a 30 zone, and am desperate for one outside my house. My house is a metre away from the road, and cars and lorries regularly bomb past at 50+. My house juts out too, one day there'll be a vehicle sticking out of my lounge wall, I can see it happening. (We rent thank god, we'll move out when it happens.) -
I'm stuck on the late shift until 01:30 every day until Monday. From Tuesday I will be in a Christmassy mood, and not an iota before. That said, loving Saints is a 24/7 commitment, so w00T for Saints.

"Men" that share email address with their partner...
SNSUN replied to Marsdinho's topic in The Muppet Show
Oh yes. What amazes me is how people I don't even know have the secret information that I need Viagra. I thought I'd done well to keep that hidden... -
After one loss?

Lol'd at that one.

That's why they reject me. I only attract the *****rs.

This Christmas, I bought her something I wanted. In fact everything I bought her this Christmas can, and will, be used by me. THAT'S how to shop for a loved one at Christmas time.

I know the swear filter will cut this out, but they are ****s. Simple as that. ****s. It's incidents like this that make me think vigilante justice is just around the corner.

I know some were doubtful of Adkins when he signed but you've got to give him time. At least give him a transfer window ffs. I know, you know, everyone knows that promotion this season is imperative - no-one knows that more than Adkins, and he will bust a gut to make sure we will achieve it. It's up to Cortese to back his appointment in January with the necessary funds - to get out this league we need a goalscorer AT LEAST, although I do think Rickie will come good in the latter part of the season, just an inkling, and we can't keep relying on a 17 year old to fire us to promotion on the right wing. I'm looking forward to January - I have a sneaking suspicion we'll be suprised.
-
Spend spend spend. A front two needed imo. Austin and Rhodes would be amazing, or Fryatt and Le Fondre. Someone, anyone, that can get us goals. Chaplow on a permanent is a definite. And a right winger. I'm not fussy, I just think it's what's needed if we want to push for promotion. Defence is ok currently.

The seniors can't cut it. Bring on Gobern, Dean and Doble. :-)

Andy you lazy git, commentate ffs
