I've not noticed the difference in food (yet) but I definitely notice smokers more, especially if they've just had one. One thing I have noticed is in the porch to my house, where all my coats are hung up, just how much they stink of smoke. It's not something I've noticed before! I'm quite surprised my missus has never said anything.

If we do go up, we'll need a lot more pace - it's something we lack as things stand. As for Rickie, he'll be a hit in the Premiership, although I couldn't tell you what formation that would be in. I do think that, one day, he'll drop deeper into a midfield role (a role he has played before in his career), similar to Mark Hughes in his Saints days.

"We endeavour to finish top of the table. That's our endeavour." He wants it, the players want it, the fans want it. We're in prime position to get it too. I almost wish I could enter a three week long coma.

Thanks for all your positivity guys, here's a quick update. So I haven't smoked since last Wednesday, so I'm doing well. Very few cravings too, which is surprising, because I've tried giving it up before and have had big ones. I have temporarily replaced smokes with Drumstick sweets, but, after extensive research online into the world of e-cigarettes, I've decided to buy a Liberro Realis e-cig. I ordered it on Friday but because of Easter, I'm hoping it comes tomorrow. I figure this will be the best way for me to give up the fags - get the nicotine hit and still hold something that resembles a cigarette but without the nastiness. It's refillable too, unlike some on the market, which will be much cheaper in the long run. There's a whole world of e-cigaretting I never knew about either - but that's for another thread! (Perhaps on another forum!)

My parents owned one when I was in my teens, or 'developing years', as I could call them for the purposes of this, as we had a touring caravan we used for holidays when I was a kid and my sister and I had outgrown it. It was located at Shorefield Country Park, near Milford-on-Sea and New Milton, and I loved it! It was comfortable, it was nice to have a place where you could go on many holidays, it was nice being at a park with two swimming pools, and I had my own set of friends that were there every holiday. I even had a couple of romances, I lost my virginity in one too... I was gutted when my parents sold it. I had just passed my driving test and was looking forward to driving down on my own, but alas it was not to be. They did go on to buy an apartment in Cyprus (which I'm not moaning about!). The static itself? Three bed, very spacious, very comfortable. One night we had a massive storm, severe winds, and the caravan barely moved. Sigh, good times.

We've been top for most of this season. Reading are Johnny-Come-Latelys and if they think they can usurp that position, they have another thing coming. I reckon we'll turn on the style and win this, and I'm ALWAYS aprehensive when predicting Saints results! I have more Reading supporting friends than any other team - I need us to finish above them! I still think we'll find an unlikely hero in our last 4 games - I'm still undecided as to whom. Danny Fox perhaps.
-
I actually had them down for a loss there, so they're a point better off than I thought they'd be.

Gus Poyet is not a monkey faced tramp, in fact I think he's gorgeous and I want to sex him and have his babies. In fact if they win both their games this week, I'll let the whole team orgy me up the butt because they're a fine bunch of fellows with big winkies. (Offer withdrawn if 6 points not achieved, I only sleep with winners. Hi to Rickie BTW.)
-
Are Reading going down the Sheffield Wednesday route and naming themselves after a day of the week? :-D The title wouldn't necessarily be decided but yes it could be a vital game. It'll be interesting to see how Reading fare tomorrow. If they lose, then they'll be very nervous against us - and we have the support of the home fans.
-
It only takes one bad set of results for us to really start worrying, but a win on Friday and I don't think I'd be nervous for the rest of the season. Now? A tad nervous yes, but I had us down for a win against Pompey and a draw at Palace, so I'm still contented.
-
It'd be great to be 7 points clear of West Ham as they go into their game with BRUM at HOME! Nigh on essential I'd say, if we want to get promoted without brown skidmarks.
-
Yay! It seems sexy santas are the place to go. Posh losing too. Good news for a future game...
-
Doing good people. That Butterfield is past it. Fonte is crud since he cut his hair. Billy Sharp is a short arse.
-
Only here for the first half then off to work. :-( Now I want to hear absolute negativity on here until we're 3-0 up. Bloody Saints FFS blowing promotion at the final hurdle. Can't score in a brothel. All nuns are ugly. Crystal Palace should be in the Champions League. By the way, I've quit smoking. (As per thread in the Lounge) So I can't lucky smoke anymore. Ohio, you're on your own.

Saw Taxi Driver last night for the first time. Wow. Great film. Not as brilliant as some people make out, but very watchable and well acted. 9/10
-
I'm surprised nobody's started a "Play-Off Thread - who don't we want?" thread yet!?!
-
Brum and Brighton are the two teams that can assist us in promotion, and they have my full support! oh, and it is a three horse race unless all of us top three hardly pick up any more points this season.
-
I am concerned, but having seen the highlights today, I think we performed quite well. Play like that and we'll be up - and there's still the cushion over West Ham. For me, Reading have the title, unless we pull off a cracking set of results, but we're still good for promotion. Still, one game at a time, and all that.
-
Puncheon, but I suspect it'll be Chaplow. 4* options, Guly, SDR, Chaplow and Punch and we're struggling to find a fit. Jokes. Do we have any yoof players we could use? *EDIT: After belatedly reading the rest of the thread, I'd forgotten about Falque! Start Rickie on the right and have Barnard up front with Billy! Done.

Saints / Reading / West Ham run in: Games to go . . .
SNSUN replied to .comsaint's topic in The Saints
SOUTHAMPTON : Crystal Palace (A) ; Reading (H) ; Peterborough (A) ; Middlesboro (A) ; Coventry (H). - We'll get 4 points in the games at Palace and Posh, and a win at Coventry. So 7 points. READING : Brighton (A) ; Southampton (A) ; Nottm Forest (H) ; Crystal Palace (H) ; Birmingham (A). - 10 points for Reading here, their loss coming on the last day, by which time they'll have the title sewn up. WEST HAM UNITED : Birmingham (H) ; Brighton (H) ; Bristol City (A) ; Leicester (A) ; Hull City (H). - 10 points too for West Ham, their loss coming in their next match at Brum ( and thus a quick indicator as to whether I'm right or not.) Ergo, we'll get promoted, but with the poorest run in form of all three teams, and by just 1 point. It's so close, predictions are very hard to do! It may, MAY, come down to goal difference, in which case we're currently better off. If we do get defeats, they'd better be little one goal ones, not 3-0 like against Blackpool last week. all predictions above are IMO. -

If that's the case, we only need one more win to get promoted? I'd take that. -
I hope Morgan's OK. I'm not looking forward to these next 5 games. I have West Ham friends and Reading friends that are ready and waiting to rip the wee out of me for Saints failing to go up. We MUST get 4-6 points from the next six games - at the moment we're giving West Ham fans hope.

Can't even beat the Skates. Will we ever have bragging rights? (TM RP)
