  1. If he hadn't been so injury prone in the last few years of his career, he'd have topped that list IMO. Not bad for a 'midfielder'.
  2. If anyone comes close, which I doubt, I reckon it'd be Jay Rod.
  3. Any port in a storm.
  4. Based on his passing skills in the first half, I'd rather he dribbled it than pass it! It was an off game for so many of the players - I think they'll all raise their game on Tuesday. With a bit of squad depth that we have now, they need to start worrying about their positions.
  5. Danny Seaborne can play left back. Better than all the rest of them. ;-) (As long as we don't start playing Jos there! He's needed elsewhere.) I don't mind Harding, he works hard although he's not the most gifted footballer, I can understand why clubs in the past have released him. I reckon we'll be seeing Luke Shaw too by the end of the season.
  6. Chaplow was terrible in the first half on the right, but I actually thought he improved on the left and in the second half. In the first half it looked as if he'd never passed a ball in his life - in the second half he did seem to want to get forward on the odd occassion we actually did. I'm a big fan of Chaplow's, a useful attacking player that can play across the middle. He'll have a big part to play in our run in.
  7. If we want to go up in the autos, it simply has to be 2 wins. 4 points wouldn't be the end of the world, 3 or fewer and I'd worry about our chances of automatic promotion. That said I think it will be six - the players won't put on a performance like yesterday's in a hurry. Interestingly I was having a swift glance at the Reading forum, and though they marvel at their recent form, they're not sure they have the players to maintain it. Twill be an interesing few weeks for sure.
  8. Balls. Who said just mere weeks ago that Cardiff are a danger to us? ;-)
  9. So who do we want to win this? A West Ham victory would basically erradicate Cardiff's chances of catching up to the auto spots, but a Cardiff victory would safely keep us top of the league irrespective of West Ham's other game in hand. For me, a draw would be our best scenario - even if West Ham win their game in hand we'd be top on goal difference - but if any team has to win, I hope it's Cardiff, with multiple sendings off for West Ham. (Head says West Ham will win this one though, Cardiff will be deflated after last week and their recent form is poor.)
  10. I've got this game on Sky + waiting for me when I get home from work. Glad I didn't watch it live, from the sounds of it. 3 points. Woot.
  11. Riiiiiiiiight. Back to work I go. Keep me posted - the only way I can check what's happening is using my phone to view SaintsWeb - with a very questionable battery life. :-( w00T, UTS, COYY and nun pics. 3-0 please...
  12. 1 shot on goal, 1 goal. That's the important stat. Adkins will give them a good arse kicking during the break.
  13. When I saw the line up, I had a feeling Puncheon and Chaplow would be our weak links. They're both very good players, but Chappers has been injured and Punch is still working his way back. When fit, it's Guly and Lallana for me on the wings every time. (Watch both score now...)
  14. Leeds fans think the ref is on our side!
  15. ...and Arsenal.
  16. Lucky smoke?
  17. If my old school mate and his millions denies us promotion, school reunions are going to be fun... Lots of games to go yet, form to dip. I think Reading and West Ham are our main concerns now, but nobody can truly be ruled out yet.
  18. Jose would be my choice, hands down. The guy is loved in this country, so the fact he's not English doesn't matter, and he has mad management skills. He's far and away the best option available, and if he's considering leaving Real in the summer for England anyway, what better job than the England manager's spot. It won't be of course, we'll end up with old wobbly chops and his shaky face routine when we go 3-0 down to Azerbajan with a team of James, Johnson, Dawson, King, Pearce, Lennon, Carrick, Lampard, Cole, Defoe, Crouch. :-) (I couldn't think of an English left back that Harry has managed, so I bet on old Stu to dust off his boots.)
  19. No-one thought to do one of these for the Muppet Show? :-D
  20. I'm not a fashion guru, I don't buy brands, and I tend to get my clobber from Tesco or Next, so perhaps I'm not one to speak, but I just saw two blokes walk through the station at work with their trousers hanging close to their knees, pants for all to see. While I marvel at their successful attempt to defy gravity, it looked bloody stupid. What about "Fashion" annoys you/makes you laugh? Of both sexes...
  21. She didn't think to look in a mirror........ ......I still would.
  22. The advantage of A is the extra psychological boost it will give our players, the downside is that forever more Skate fans will bleat on that the only reason we got promoted was because they went out of business. Still I vote A though, because I dislike West Ham and it'd be funny. Pompey will rise again though, with TCWTB as chairman.
  23. Surreal! Spice Girls, German, climbing digger. It had it all.
  24. Around about 13 points from that lot IMO but of course wins at Blackpool, Hull and Boro would mean much more to us as they're in the chasing pack, as oppose to wins at Posh, Palace and Millwall. We need to win our home games too, so every away point matters hugely. We're the masters of our own destiny, keep the confidence up and hopefully we can repeat our end of season form of last season.
  25. Poyet, Ferguson and Adkins still have their jobs, as does flying high Powell, Clark and Megson don't. There's something in that...
