That is great news that the hefty loans to Katharina have been paid off. Great start.

Very concerning how long this whole process took, let's hope it's for the best. Time will tell. I hope they communicate their plans shortly in terms of what they will bring to the table. Right now it would appear nothing other than Kat getting her wedge out. It would be great if our transfer budget was increased, but unlikely IMO. Hopefully they have plans to build on the recent investment and development in the infrastructure of the club.

JC is the obvious one which is a shame as he had a few good games last season then dropped. Classic Puel. That said since signing, he hasn't really done enough overall and we are bloated in that area. Hoj started so well but has really struggled since. Think we need to persevere with him but he needs to step up as he did when he came in.

His "highlights" reel on you tube look like everything we have been missing from our midfield pool. No pressure! Obviously is a bit raw but needs game time. Excited about this one.

Austins shoulder was already ****ed up before this season, he had previous surgery & is a weak point.

Not usually one to **** the bed, but our lack of activity is a bit worrying this season. Bednarek signing stuck me as odd from the outset given our current options in this area are what I would consider good backup. Additional back up is not what we need, we need players to improve the 1st 11. The spine is a worry and the VVD situation is a mess. Even if a miricle happens and he stays, doubtful he will be fit for the start of the season. Without sales we need a quality CB, CM, AM at minimum. CB: Still waiting for Fonte's replacement Les..... CM: Not convinced by the regressing Steven Davis as a starter anymore alongside Romeu, who should be captain in my eyes. Need someone dynamic with pace and strength. AM: People bang on about Sigurdsson in that AM role but that's because he is exactly what we lack. Even the best teams are being quite ruthless in this window with in's & out's and I worry we will regress further if we stand as still as we currently are.

MP words show strong leadership. No surprise to see this from VVD. Hope he can get his head right but this probably ends one way. No problem with him leaving but feel modern day Liverpool below his level as are we. As many have said, we will look like clowns if we sell to them now. However I expect we will.

Is one of the reasons for little activity in or out because we are being "plumped up" for sale to Lander? Would make sense.

Was our best player in the 2nd half of 15/16, very poor last year. Optimistic he will have a better season than last.
