Shocking scoreline. Yes we have improved the last few weeks a tad but results have still been poor. This was a really big one tonight and we have failed with flying colours. Pellegrino has been ****e as was Puel, however this is the worst Saints team since we came up and have been **** since Koeman left. Players should take just as much responsibility.

Those memories are great ones, sad to go out like this but I guess things move on. Shame the next generation will not get that experience.

Just hasn’t worked at all unfortunately. Struggling to find any positives under this manager. He’s got to go but I think he will hold out for a few more weeks. Just cannot see it turning around. On the playing side, I thought Stephens was our best player in early games and he has not been seen for weeks, poor lad. Lemina has been our best player since and he is a big miss. I think we need a bit of a clear out to be honest, too many below par for too long.

Not that it was hard, but I called it yesterday. only positive is Boufal played in the hole for once and was probably our best player. tadic, Cedric awful today and Hoet should have kept his place. We were right to sack Puel but Pellegrino has been just as bad

I think Burnley will want it more so I sense a narrow, frustrating defeat or a draw at best. expecting 0-0 at HT (again), really hope i'm wrong and we actually turn up. They say a sign of madness is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results. On the basis that MP see's Redmond best on the left, tadic best on the right or in the hole..... Redmond is best (not that he deserves a start) on the right. Tadic has also been **** for weeks. He cannot shoot so is limited as a #10. I have heard he has done ok here for Serbia, but he has always played his best football for us on the left. Boufal is average at best on the left and needs to play as a #10 and get a run in the side in THIS POSITION. Unless he get's a shot, he will continue to be in and out of the team and be shoehorned and ultimately ineffective on the left for the majority of the time. How the manager or his assistants who have been here a while cannot see this..... Hope I am completely wrong and we win 3-0, but I won't be holding my breath. COYR

Want to see jwp on right, tadic left, Boufal 10 for some reason mp sees Boufal & Redmond best on left, tadic 10 or right and same for jwp. Jwp and tadic cannot shoot from open play from distance so will never be decent 10's

Agree with the OP's team. None of our current 11 would get in my team. Bertrand has regressed and Cedric too inconsistent.

I have long thought that we should bring back the city shield either as the crest or an integral part. It was used on alot of club materials but never on the actual shirt. The problem is IMO most of the mock ups look **** and I quite like the current badge and would hate to end up with an abomination. I like the way this one is going with the round surround similar to FA cup final shirt, however needs full shield with 2 red roses IMO.

Poor start, decent middle, poor end. We are sitting too deep and the *cough* creative players need to do more. This game if finely poised, I thought we would get beat today having seen them vs Newcastle. They are a decent team and will be mid table imo. 1st goal key

Tadic misses Pelle, His crossing can be very good. He is a provider not a goalscorer. If playing central as a #10 you need a decent shot.

This is concerning. The club need to be transparent on this. The noises that were fed to the club pet journos was now the club was effectively debt free, so somebody is being economical with the truth or lying at best. "I wonder how much money ,if any , he'll have to take out of the club, to service the debt."
