  1. Does it make any difference to us? We still need to win our last two games and hope for the best, don't we?
  2. Actually the legal situation would be extremely complicated and would take decades to unravel. Please see today's Times. Also you have things round the wrong way. Our laws are ratified by us, not Brussels.
  3. But in what way would us being in or out of the EU have any difference to Turkish nationals being able to come to Britain? (There is an article in today's Times quoting Cameron as saying the Turkey's accession is decades away at the earliest but nobody's going to believe anything he says, not even me. France alone would need to hold a referendum first and every other country would have to agree but keep on raising unnecessary fears.)
  4. They're just plans. We are not part of Schengen and can keep out anyone we choose to.
  5. Indeed it was. RIP Keith Blakelock.
  6. Really? I was born within kicking distance of WHL and my sister used to have a newspaper shop in Harringay. It must have improved a hell of a lot since then if you're that impressed.
  7. Hm, I suppose he might get make the bench.
  8. Thanks. That's pretty much the same as Leicester, allowing for inflation.
  9. I rather liked the first goal
  10. Are you going to walk out halfway through?
  11. Yes, I believe they are. The owner swapped debt for equity, didn't ours do the same?
  12. Didn't Ranieri say that his brief had been 'to avoid relegation'? Perhaps Dalek was right after all, perish the thought
  13. I totally agree. I would much prefer to be back in my usual seat. Anything else is like sitting at a strange ground.
  14. That's always the problem with a name change and re-branding. You spend millions promoting a brand and expect everybody to sing to a different songsheet the moment you repackage the product.
  15. Of course wages are important too but either way there is no question they have done well with what they have. I see that Bournemouth have been fined £7.6m for overspending in the promotion season: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/14467311.Cherries_slapped_with_massive_fine/
  16. Hoddle was sacked as their manager in September 2003 after we had beaten them 3-1. Free kick from Beatty?
  17. The fist time that the bookmakers have ever paid out of a 5000:1 bet, apparently.
  18. True, although I did read somewhere that they have a net spending on players of £50m over the last two seasons. Also that Man Utd have spent more over the same period than Leicester have done in their entire history.
  19. Another yellow for Dier should have made it ten. Five cards invokes a nasty letter from the FA. I don't know what they'd get for nine.
  20. Who?
  21. You could see Rose say 'hamstring'. Just what we needed, loads of injuries both physical and mental. Spurs had lost it big time.
  22. Both great players for us but in different ways. I have very happy memories of both.
  23. I wouldn't blame him for that, the ball was deflected up at him. Maybe he could have been facing away from goal a bit more but when the ball's pinging around like that there's not a lot you can do.
