  1. You can choose to eat it or ignore it at your peril. The outcome is usually called 'experience'. Would it help if I published my views and then made sure that there was a link to them on Google?
  2. The lower paid already take home a higher proportion of their earnings than the higher paid. Once again, it's not a giveaway if all you are doing is letting people keep more of their own money. Whose money are you 'giving' them?
  3. That's plain hogwash. The total tax take increases if you reduce the upper levels down from 45%. Where on earth did you find that graph, Google? How on earth do you interpret it to mean less money for the lower paid?
  4. Google? Now I know you're not serious. That's the trouble with the younger generation, they think everything on the internet is true. My views are based on bitter experience. I don't want another incompetent pillock like that idiot Brown anywhere near our economy ever again.
  5. All right, I'll come clean, the bit about Gordon Brown treating taxpayers' money as his own wasn't actually made up by me, it was a comment on the television, or radio, or something. Rather than have me proving it was true, how about proving that it wasn't? Ratyher than considering total tax take let's look at personal taxes instead.
  6. But every comment that I make is made up by me?
  7. Or that you should never trust tweets, they're sent by twits.
  8. What is the point of this graph?
  9. The roof is concrete. It's one of my favourite buildings.
  10. Now you're just being silly. How can it be free money if it's already theirs? You're thinking like Gordon Brown, he treated everybody's money as his own and grudgingly let us keep a little of our own money for essentials.
  11. Unless it's Roman... Even they didn't use it outside.
  12. I'll think about it. What flavour popcorn?
  13. I suppose the colours would hide all the puke dribbling down from the windows.
  14. Indeed they do, but brick and stone will weather slowly and nicely. Concrete never looks good but anything with artificial colouring will fade. The ultraviolet degrades the pigments.
  15. For the right person I make exceptions.
  16. Date?
  17. Unless it's vitreous enamel I would say it's almost guaranteed to fade in UV light.
  18. You'd like to think so but I don't think there are any checks on those coming here. Sometimes I think that's a main reason for them wanting to come here.
  19. Self-indulgent narcissistic pile of trash. It's going to look awful in a few years. In fact it looks awful now.
  20. And when you sell you will only get a refund of whole months but when you buy a new one you have to pay the full amount.
  21. And mis-hit the ball into the goal, I suppose? Edit: does this swear filter need hyphens in everything? What's wrong with mi****?
  22. You're ignoring the number of contributors who don't live long enough to collect their pension. My wife's sister at 54, my business partner at 64, my colleague at 63, my dentist at 55, I could go on and on... The life expectancies you quote are for different sets of people. The contributions that they made when they started work at 16 (15 in some cases)weere sufficient at the time. The confusion now is that there are different classes of pensioners, those who contributed all their lives and have never lived off the state, those who have never contributed anything yet still get a pension and a whole range of people in between.
  23. It is to do with you if you vote for the wrong party.
  24. Yes, we've been through all this before. Going back over half a century these payments were 'earned' by NI contributions and the amount you received was dependent on these. Then successive governments have gradually tried to integrate them into the general welfare budget and people like Pillock Brown made things even worse by intoducing credits. The fact remains that when contributions began they were not classed as welfare. If only these contributions had been properly invested instead of being raided to pay current government spending then the older generation might have a better living standard. As far stealing from pension funds goes there's no difference between the government and Robert Maxwell.
  25. He wasn't talking to you
