Fifty fukin three, and I had to google that - geeze what a fukin' sheltered life I've led...!

Indeed it is, and today pompey have been taken over, so perhaps it's now time to draw this to a close. There has been much posturing and urine extracting here - much of it, total bullshyte. Come next season we are back on par with them and the only pleasure I want is in the shape of 6 points. Like it or not, PFC are here to stay - they've been taken over - let's move on and let the real rivalry begin.

Really chuffed that somebody saw fit to put this on the main board where all and sundry can clock it as opposed to leaving hidden amongst a thread that most won't be assed to wade through. Neat, real neat.

Saved me the time - couldn't have put it better myself.

Ahhhhh Gibraltar - my company asked me to go there a couple of years ago on business, never been before, so was really looking forward to it. Was recommended a hotel by a 'friend/work colleague', took one look at the feedback it was getting and sort of changed my mind. This is recent and was typically what people were saying a couple of year ago: "Gibraltar as a whole has a fatigued, dated ambiance. It feels like its slightly apologetic for its existence -- and for the grimly commercial Main Street, which could be Shopping Mall Anytown. The Bristol Hotel exemplifies everything that has been left to go to seed in Gib. The room styles are 1950s Margate, the beds hard and lumpy and tobacco smells linger. And the breakfasts -- even a 1950s seaside landlady would be ashamed. Sliced white bread, processed cheese, processed ham, instant coffee, reconstituted orange juice, stodgy rolls, cold hard boiled eggs, cheapo packaged jam, marmalade and butter. And the service -- perfunctory at best, downright rude at worst." And there's more.... "Gibraltar in general is not a place I would ever visit again. For an island it seems singularly lacking in sea. It is virtually invisible from any part of the main town. There are no pretty areas to sit in - even the Botanic gardens are disappointing. The traffic is horrendous. You may as well book a room in the middle of Brands Hatch on race day. It just goes on and on day and night. Noisy, smelly and dirty. Everything apart from booze and cigarettes is far more expensive than the uk. Over £10 for a very indifferent omelette and a cup of instant coffee. Benidorm would seem like the height of luxury compared to this. Take my tip - stay at home and save your money. I wish I had!" Suffice to say, I made my excuses and got the company to send somebody else...! Not one that I will be trying to experience anytime soon either.

See for yourself: Training with SFC.

Absolutely, except of course you have used the word 'logically' with a football related issue - are you mad?

Had we got to the play offs and failed, wonder what would have happened to our manager? Really don't think that DJ is a bottler or bad manager, the margins are fine when it comes to the business end of any season. Personally I think that it's been handled pretty well - gives all parties a chance to plan for next season. Have seen DJ linked with the likes of WHU already, so I would think that it is highly likely that he wont be out of work for long.

Geeze we really do have some totally mong fans: http://downatthemac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=57880 Luckily Gemmel has been on and represented what we all hopefully feel about the mong that posted this rubbish, and Huddersfield Town in general. At the end of the day the playoffs are a lottery - we all know that, but it's bloody hard to take when you finished 8 points in front of the team that is going up in 'your place'.

In, Nescaffe/Gold Blend, out, Mocha - no cream, tks.

"Impossible..." - guess that's me off to the 'nay sayers' corner...!

I was unlucky enough to have served in Bosnia and seen first hand the devastation, destruction and ethnic cleansing that took place. You should have just built an execution chamber for him. Beautiful country, hopefully now on the mend.

I can honestly say that I have not drunk a cup of tea in, probably, the last 10 - 12 years, maybe longer. Coffee yes, tea no. I don't dislike tea though - I guess I have just taken the 'coffee' path. That said, Mrs Micky is a tea drinker - been married for over 30 years, and I can't remember ever seeing her drink coffee. Are most people either one or the other like us, or do you drink both tea and coffee equally?

Loved the Richard Keys / Ron Atkinson interview at The Dell after we had beat them 1 - 0. Looked like RA was going to swing for anybody in sight...! The KK 'Luvit' interview is always worth a watch too.

Right, so the problem was an ant, or to be more precise some ants. The solution: Boiling water, talcum powder, antstop, flamethrower, bleach, boric acid, petrol, drowning, raid, crushing and finally a bit of 'thermonuclear warfare in a can'....!!!! I'd fukin' hate to see what some of you guys would do if you had a cockroach in the house, ffs...!!!

number of saints fans at wembley last year for trophy final
Micky replied to wokingsaints's topic in The Saints
I was there, there was a few others around as well as I recall.... -
Hate to say it, as I thought I was contributing, but most of that is well over me.

Ken Monkou (pancake man...!), top, top bloke, great player. Honestly idolised, probably Mick Channon and MLT. After that a whole myriad of great, good, mediocre (but still loved, Franny...!), poor and bad players.
-
Oh right - shame the poster is not around to add to the debate now. Even though I still maintain that you are 'off topic' with this particular tac, your point is still relevant - I just don't think that it has any relevance in the scheme of this thread.
-
Sorry, must of missed that - where did that come from...????
-
If that is so, then perhaps they did ignore it, perhaps, like now they disagreed with it. That is their opinion on it.
-
On this DPS, I agree. I don't mind admitting that I made my first post on this thread without the benefit of listening to the the interview. Having listened to it, I really do not see what JP said to cause any offence. He is a sportsman trying to do the best that he can to secure a contract somewhere - he was complimentary of Saints. The 'prove somebody wrong' comment was actually started by the interviewer - Jason agreed, but never laboured the point or hinted at anybody in particular. When I watched him against United on Sunday I thought he had an ok game, not great, not bad. Like many others, I was hoping he would have a blinder, which might allow us to 'hike the price' if he does go. Others have suggested that there is an 'attitude' problem, and if that is the case then I would rather cash in now and let him go. However, all of that said - I still cannot see how the OP's (misguided) opinion, or any others here have got you going on about the racism angle. As I said before, if that is your opinion perhaps you should have aired your concerns halfway through the season, so people could guage whether you had a point whilst at subsequent games.
-
Somebody giving thier opinion / interpretation of Jasons comments on TalkSport. FWIW, I totally disagree with the OP's opinion and interpretation, but I can't say that I find it racist or see any reason to think that it was posted because of a racist attitude.
-
Much simpler thanks. Had you said that in the first place, perhaps I would have understood your point. But to sum up, you believe that much of the stick that Jason recieves / recieved is racially motivated, and has been from the beginning of the season. But you don't believe that anybody has made any such racial remarks whilst commenting on this thread. Surely you have taken this thread off topic, perhaps you need to start a new topic about how Jason has been racially abused since the beginning of the season and yet nobody has seen fit to do anything about it.
