Unhealthy obsession with Southampton Football Club
Turkish replied to Chicken With A Banjo's topic in The Muppet Show
I think many people will be able to relate to your post CWAB. I spend too much time on here, reading news reports etc as you say you do, but thankfully it doesn't dominate my life as it does for someone like Niceandfriendly for example, who clearly has nothing else in his life but here as hes absolutely obsessed by certain posters, replying to virtually every post they make and talking sbout them in compeltely unrelated threads, even when they havent even posted on that thread, very strange beahviour. When you get to his level, that's when you should start worrying. For me, most of my days are spent doing things I love in an incredible place but when I am sitting down and not working and have an internet connection I'll come on here. Some people like to collect the stamp, some like to make the gym, some like to hunt the animal and rip apart with wild dogs... and others like to follow Southampton football club -
Post of the season.

This would be a great but of business, a very good player and possesses the one thing we lack.
-
Can you put a bench mark on it please. What would you say it was comparable to? If you could also outline your expectations that would help us greatly. This where I think the issue is, you seem to be expecting a football ground to serve the level of pasty usually found in specialist outlets, not a multi product kiosk inside a football stadium. I may of course be wrong on this but if can confirm what you feel you we're served up and what you were expecting a liken them to products we might buy then this would help. Please also confirm what your pasty contained as you said your one from last seasons contained visible and seasoned meat and potato but it seems this seasons did not?

not at all. Just in my, admittedly limited, experience, the catering has always been adequate and exactly what i'd expect from buying hot food inside a football stadium. I'm interested to know what people expect, the word "quality" keeps being trotted out but at what level? Are we talking Greggs standard? Ginsters? Fray Bentos? Or Pasty Presto, the self titled worlds best pasty shop?
-
Why would you expect decent quality food in a football stadium? Why would expect food that has likely been cooked them sat in an over type thing to keep warm for hours to be anything better than adequate, which is what it is.

What do to mean by substandard? What were you expecting?

Capital One Cup 3rd Round Draw - Home to Bristol City

You must have been about 9, had you just come from from one of your hospital committee meeting? -
Card got declined, have you not been paying your bills again Nicola?

I would never buy anything from Wembley again, brought a round at the JPT final and it was about £20 for 4 drinks.

Yeah sure mate sounds good. I'm a member so if you PM your credit card details ill sort out our tickets. Can meet you up there, be a great day!

It was a group of lads in shirts about 3 rows in front of us.

They do do it properly. The food is adequate standard, nothing more nothing less. The queues are what you'd expect from 10,000 all trying to be served in a 15 minute window. I really don't understand what people are expecting from food and drink inside a football stadium. I've never been in any football ground and expected culinary delights, its stodgy grub to fill a hole if you've come straight from work or having a day on the lash and I've never been to any pub or fast food outlet and expected to be served and finish what I've brought inside 15 minutes. I really don't know what more people expect.

This. Its our best chance of a trophy so we need to take it seriously. Somewhere local for selfish reasons though. -
There was also some Mongs singing that horrendous Yaya/Kolo Toure song with the hand movements as well about Kelvin and Steven Davis last night FFS.

Also why did some of our fans celebrate Barnsleys goal last night? Very odd, jumping around and dancing when their goal music came on, it was pretty embarrassing
-
But he's got no pace, doesnt run around load, cant tackle, doesn't show PASSION, couldn't fit into a 4-4-2 effectively. How do you expect him to be a success in England?
-
Comfortable win, miles better than Barnsley and a win was never really in doubt. Rodriguez was man of the match for me, lead the line very well and a great finish, think it was him who hit the post too. Great goal at the end from Ramirez, he played well In patches but again didnt really do enough against a poor team and should have buried his chance in the early minutes. I though Mayuka was poor in the first half but improved in the second. Rowe was lively when he came on and unlucky not score, Reid looked quality, good on the ball fitted in straight away and looks to have a bit about it. All in all a good night for saints, 5 goals and a good win and a good run out for the fringe players and a rare 90 minutes for Ramirez which was good to see.

I hope they'll be decent at Barnsley tonight, but the time I get there just before kick off I won't have eaten since 6pm so will be starving.

Yes mate, only lived there since March though.
