  1. You're right Lou, I really, really hope one of the gay players is a Saints player, it would be amazing. But I'd just like to remind everyone (yet again) that I don't care what they do in their spare time, it makes no odds to me that they're gay at all, it's none of my business and in 2015 it shouldn't make any difference. but what I'd like to do is announce that I'm proud of having a gay player in my team and making a point of accepting them openly, isn't it great we've got such great fans who would accept a gay player so easily, even though they are just like you and me. Because homophobia is wrong and it would be wrong to make a point of their sexuality, or something.
  2. Why is it great they are coming out? It makes me laugh how many people on the one hand go on about how no one cares what they get up to but at the same time give the patronising "oh isn't it great, they're so brave" clearly people do care as it needs this massive unveiling built up for days in the media and people feel the need to congratulate them on their "bravery". guess what, it's not 1943 anymore, they aren't going to be banged up for telling everyone they're gay. The most they'll get is a bit of #bantz from the bantologists on the terraces which will no doubt include a hilariously witty song to the tune of sloop john b. I imagine that'll be limited though as most people these days are desperate to prove what lovely people they are. So let's all celebrate this, its amazing they're coming out, give them a good round of applause when we next see them what a fantastic moment for football. remember we don't care though, it's no ones business what they do in their spare time, no one needs to make a big deal out of it, it doesn't matter if they're gay or straight etc etc.
  3. Saints Klip Klopp Claise got better as the game went on. He could be another good signing when fully up to speed. Thought we looked solid defensively but a bit not really clicking going forward today, a draw was a fair result I think. Great to get a point after going behind so late to what to be fair was a very good goal
  4. It also helps them enormous that we had Gazzaniga as glovesman that day and they scored with every attempt on target, as did pretty much everyone else we played against when he was in goal during that run of games.
  5. I remember all that. I remember posters claiming it was game over, the ambition had gone, some claimed that the club would never be the same again and yes I do recall someone saying they cried. You've got to admire him for the way he managed to get everyone to believe his own propaganda machine. Of course some of us saw through it all and were given all sorts of abuse for it. Cortese was ruthless and ambitious, so that gave him licence to be an absolute c*nt inn some people's eyes. He told people what they wanted to hear, so the CoC sucked it all up and turned on anyone that dared question him. It could have been different, if the Nick nack hadn't been a narcissistic lunatic he could have been a hero. However even his biggest fans now admit that whilst he did a good job he was an absolute Bellend.
  6. Too high, dunes new character is a shadow of his previous acts.
  7. This is true, the comedy value is excellent, I can only imagine how a womens football forum would look. Imagine meltdown on here about the lack of depth in the squad when the star striker will be missing for a year due to pregnancy. Or how our influential midfielder would miss a game during the transfer window due to period pains, conspiracy theories will abound. I'd hate to be their agent too, imagine contract negotiations when they're asking for a new deal, they could go on for weeks when the reply of "if you really knew me you'd know what was wrong with my contract, if you don't know I'm not going to tell you"
  8. Is it a bit like men in their thirties who protest so much about what style football shirt a club wears that they organise a protest group, but then buy the style of shirt they are protesting against anyway?
  9. That's what we've got the lauded black box for pal. The fact is the 2nd choice keeper position has been an issue that is stretching into it's fourth season. We are arguably the weakest in the premier league in that position, the fact that a keeper who was championship level in prime 10 years ago is our 2nd choice is a huge issue which is consistently not being resolved for some reason.
  10. I agree charles, our we must be the weakest in the divison when it comes glovesmen. We alway have a decent first choice but at best two league one keepers behind him. Seriously Gazzaniga can't have a future here, fourth season and still behind Davis in the pecking order, that really is poor.
  11. The goalkeeping situation is the one area of the team we keep failing in. There is no way Davis should get a game now, he was only championship level in his prime. How bad must Gazzaniga be if Davis is preferred. It really is poor that we don't have better back up keeper, ever since returning to the it's been a bit of a shambles. Whilst we've done okay with our number ones the back up situation has never been addressed properly, with Gazzaniga now in his fourth season and still behind Davis who is probably only league 1 level now it's difficult to see how he has a future here.
  12. It started badly, tailed off a bit in the middle and the less said about the end the better but other than that excellent
  13. Yet to join AC Milan, which is surprising as they chased him for 3 years whilst he was working at Saints. Although i hear he is enjoying spending time with his family. He bought his son a lego set, it should have cost £25 but Cortese paid £40 for it, now they spend their days building things and then knocking it down as daddy keeps on saying its not quite right, even when Cortese jnr built the lift which only one lego man was able to use.
  14. But isn't this an OUTRAGE that no saints players made the list?
  15. Fabregas is in for missing a penalty to go with his assist. But Steve Davis Pelle and long don't get a mention despite all scoring game changing goals for their countries. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12010/10028551/who-were-the-premier-leagues-best-performing-internationals
  16. Looking at the some of the names on your Saints collection i find that hard to believe.
  17. Tell him when he gets out there to ask for the playboy.
  18. Great to see commerical income back on the way up, its's going to take a while to rebuild the bridges burnt by the previous CEO who seemed to p*ss off as many people as possible. Plenty of inherited debt as well from the great business man.
  19. Turkish

    Redslo

He bought FM2015, started a new game as West Ham is now a regular poster on their forums.
  20. You're not wrong old boy. THis will be like heroin for some of the nerdy mugs on here. It'll be this season "we are 54% likely to make the champions league" threads. Everytime the super computer predicts that we'll finish above 8th people will be exicted tapping away about how amazing it is. When we lose a they'll be in dismay at how the data used cant be accurate and is baised towards the big clubs.
  21. Cockroaches they are. What sort of fans would have completely flip their view on a player? I'm sure If he were to join them he'll quickly become a whipping boy there though, cheered when he's substituted, slagged off all game with their forums full of petty comments such as "what a waste of mane" "I wish he'd f*ck off" "get rid of him now" not to mention labelling him the worst player since Eric Djemba-Djemba. The Cockroaches.
  22. Why? THe greedy fat c*nt threw a paddy a few days before a big Europa league game, refusing to do his job letting down thousands of fans who pay his wages and potentially costing us a one in a blue moon chance of a decent run of games in Europa. Im not a fan of booing players that try hard but arent very good, or those going through a bad spell but ones that do that sort of thing deserve everything they get. Funnily enough no one seemed to have a problem when players like Guly were being booed, being shouted abuse at or ironically cheered, he wasn't a great player but no where near as bad as was made out, a player who always gave his best, played in numoerous postions and wasn't a minutes trouble (apart from his drink driving ban) out yet fans seemed to postively revel in giving him abuse. Same goes for those who scream abuse and ironically cheer the likes of Pelle, Targett, JWP etc
  23. It seems our notorious home end is making a name for itself. Made it onto Wikipedia. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spion_Kop_(stadiums)
  24. Completely disagree. You see goalkeepers at all levels able to make "one for the cameras" type saves. What seperates the very good from the competent are the things fans don't notice or appreciate. Positioning, communicating with the back four, command of the box, doing the supposedly simple things so well the they look simple. Sometimes when you see a keeper make a great save its because their positioning was wrong in the first place. A back four is a much better back four when it trusts its keeper. Obviously making world class saves is part of it but It's those things that make a good keeper a great keeper.
