  1. It won't be an easy win. They're a decent side who'll give us a tough game.
  2. Integrate him. The fans should get behind him to show him how much he means to them and the club. No point in turning on him and giving him a load of **** - Save that for when he does finally leave. For now he's still at the club and is an important part of the team.
  3. Seen him play a couple of times for the Netherlands. Wasn't impressed. His off the ball movement was poor and he constantly made runs into the wrong place. It was like he wasn't on the same wavelength as the rest of the team. Maybe he's one of those strikers who needs the ball gifted to him. Made me think of Beattie and how he never would have scored as many goals as he did if it wasn't for Ormerod.
  4. I think they're a great band. Have you heard The Vryll Society from Liverpool? I first saw them in Dublin a couple of years ago. Seen then 5 or 6 times since. First saw them supporting Blossoms. Also on the bill were Viola Beach who were tragically killed just a few days later.
  5. Not normally my sort of thing but I thought that was the best performance I saw on that season of Later.
  6. I think you're right. Stand more chance of seeing me in one of his Saints shirts. I've got one of his EL shirts from last season. ;-)
  7. I'm not disputing that. I'm saying that of the 3 players he's the most likely to score. Redmond's and Tadic's goal record is even worse. At least Long puts in a shift. The other two just drift in and out of games. What we really need was sold to WBA. Just look at the reviews he's getting. Anyway, he's gone and we've been over and over that subject and done it to death so we'll just have to move on.
  8. 43 will be about where we end up unless we start taking our chances.
  9. Couldn't agree more. I remember saying something similar last season. In fairness Puel did it and played J-Rod and Long, I thing it was against 'Boro. Guess what, it was the only time we scored in the last 6. Does that not tell a story?
  10. Said it over a month ago. Too many average players. Long works hard and of all of them looks the most likely to score.
  11. Neither. I'd play Shane Long. He works harder and is probably the more likely to score... which doesn't say much.
  12. Just ditch Boufal / Tadic and play Long in that role on a regular basis. He works hard and of the 3 players he looks the most likely to score.
  13. I spoke to the son of former Liverpool owner, Rick Parry a couple of weeks ago. He said the same thing. He worked with MP at Liverpool and said 'He's a lovely guy, but I don't think he's got what it takes to take Saints to the next level. Puel's football may have been boring but I think you'd have been better keeping him. I think you're going to be very disappointed at the end of the season'. I know it's only an opinion but it's interesting to hear the views of somebody who knows him and has worked with him.
  14. If you're in it then why not try to win it? This sort of thing ****es me off. People paid good money to watch that shower of ****.
  15. Which is exactly what I said about 4 weeks ago. They're just average players. I'd sell at least two of them and replace them with one decent player.
  16. Huddersfield are on a roll. We'll get nothing against them. I understand making some changes but I really don't get the ones he's made tonight. We look ****ing terrible.
  17. Not convinced by Tadic, Boufal or Redmond but Tadic would be the first one I'd get rid of. We should offload him at the earliest opportunity. There must be a better option out there.
  18. Why is it a surprise? You really are a thick ****. Read the opening line of my message. 'I HOPE I'M WRONG'. Really pleased that we got this signing over the line.
  19. Stop trying to be a smart arsed *****. When have I ever mentioned anything about Burnley? I did know somebody at Spurs but he's moved to a similar role at another club. A move that was largely forced upon him due to Spurs not playing at WHL this season.
  20. I think we must have somebody lined up, otherwise there's no way we'd be letting him go.
  21. Oh **** off you tool. In response to Hypochondriac - No, just one of those signings I'd like to see us get over the line but the longer it goes on the more nervous you become about it going pear shaped. I'm sure you know what I mean.
  22. Hope I'm wrong but I've got a horrible feeling he's not coming.
  23. Been saying the same thing about Redmond and Tadic for months. Both average. Rather see Long starting, at least he grafts. Start JWP instead of Davis and sort a decent centre back and I think we'll be ok. What were people's thoughts of Lemina?
  24. Yep. It's also a sad reflection on the modern game. :-(
