Back down to the Championship......
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to saints1988's topic in The Saints
Sky have ruined football. The Premiership is a ****ing joke. Completely unsustainable in the current form. -
Next season we'll be playing Championship football.
-
You wouldn't let a puppy suffer like this. Someone needs to put him out of his misery. For his own sake, the sake of the fans and the club. For ****'s sake man, do the decent thing and go now!
-
Just **** off now. You're doing yourself and the team no favours by sticking around. Someone put him out of his misery, before it's too late.
-
I think Palace will survive. I could see Bournemouth, Saints and Swansea going down.
-
Whilst I don't like the manner in which he left, I'd definitely have him back. He's in a different league to the clown who is currently in charge.
-
We'll get battered. Might be worth a few quid on Liverpool to score 4 or more, just to soften the blow.
-
Is he still here? FFS. I was hoping to a good start to the new week.
-
I'll be mortified if MP is still here after these 10 games.
-
Good post. I've just watched MP's post match interview. The man is like a scratched record. Same story every week. He's a clueless ****ing idiot who makes Puel look like Sir Alex Ferguson.
-
This needs to happen now, but it won't. We'll be deep in the **** by Xmas and Reed will be coming out with all sorts of stupid excuses. I think it's very clear that MP does not have the ability to turn things around. We've seen nothing positive from him. He has to go, NOW!
-
Who'd have Koeman back? I'd take him in a flash. As long as he apologises to the fans.
-
Happy to admit that I made a mistake as far as Puel is concerned, although I still think his football was terrible to watch. Replacing him with quality would have been acceptable. Replacing him with somebody who isn't fit to manage the reserves is a different story.
-
He's got to go. Clueless! Utter ****ing ****e. I was desperate to get rid of Puel but that old expression 'be careful what you wish for' has never felt so true. MP is a complete knob. But not in the same league as Les Reed who is a class A ****ing *****. He sacks the manager without a replacement and then has to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find this clown.
-
We should have kept Puel and that's coming from somebody who wanted him out. I think he'll do a very good job at Leicester.
-
I think so. We look very poor. The big worry is that we've not looked convincing in any of the games that we've won and we've only just scrapped our way past West Brom, WHU and Palace. Dropping points against teams we really should be beating is always going to make it tough when we're on for a right hiding when we play the likes of Man City, Spurs and Chelsea.

Let’s have some serious managerial options

Absolutely! -
Hate to say it so soon, but he's got to go. I've seen nothing that makes me think he's the right man for the job.

Autographs, the 'selfie' of the 20th century
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints
Met David Armstrong in the club shop before a night game against Luton Town in the 80's. He was just in there chatting to the staff. That'd never happen these days. Football was so much better back then. -
Same story for his country too... "Shane Long could have doubled the lead in the 16th minute when he collected Callum O'Dowda's reverse pass, but his effort skidded narrowly wide of the post." "Long's goal drought, which has gone on for 23 games for club and country, continues as his effort in the 22nd minute was blocked by Ilie Cebanu in goal before his rebound was cleared away." "Long missed another glorious chance on the hour mark. O'Dowda's blocked shot landed at the feet of Long, who simply had to prod the ball into the empty goal, but instead fired his effort wide."

Been saying this for months.

Wake up...Eric Black is the problem!
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Black should've gone when Puel went. A fresh start. -
does the future look good for Pelligrino?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
My concern is that we're playing a system that we clearly don't have the right players for. Therefore the system has to change to suit what we have available to us. If the manager can't see that after the performances so far then we've got a real problem. -
does the future look good for Pelligrino?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Exactly. McQueen, Sims, Targett have all looked more creative than Tadic and Redmond. I know there's some injuries but the minute they're available I'd be giving them a try. -

It's too early to say but I don't think the signs are good. We should have just stuck with Puel if MP was the genuinely the best option out there. People keep saying how good the defence is, and that's true, but it was good under Puel. The issue was scoring goals and MP has done nothing to address this. The club haven't done much either. I wasn't happy when they sold J-Rod but I understand the reason for doing it. What I don't understand is why he wasn't replaced. You have to win games to survive and that involves scoring goals - something we don't look like doing. Even the likes of Brighton, Watford and Swansea have got goals in them. Unless we get our ac together quickly we'll be down there with Palace - another team who can't score.
