So good to see 2 quick men up front with Long and Sadio. Ran Chelsea ragged in first half. Agree about Tadic being so much better on the left. Think that could be our strongest eleven at this time.

We need to go forward not sideways or backwards. All the top teams move the ball quickly when they get near the penalty area. Incisive movement is what breaks down defences, not playing back towards our own goal. Bring on Long to lead the line. He is quicker than Pelle and more likely to break down a defence.

Tadic ok first half but poor second half when he hardly got a ball into one of our players. Yet to be convinced by JWP. Has potential, but not a great striker of the ball at this time. Pelle looked slow and ponderous. Too many back/sideway passes. Shelvey and Gomes looked dangerous every time they broke forward. Quick decisive and lethal. Only Elia and Mane offered any threat to a resolute Swans defence. Need Morgan, Vic and Toby back as soon as possible. Reed has promise but is too lightweight at this time.

Went to St Marys College. Was one of many who had a trial for Southampton Boys with Ted Bates. Supported them for over 50 years.

Totally agree. Takes out 2 defenders every game and allows others the space they need. Brilliant player.

Well that was a battle. Shame about Morgan but agree he had to make the tackle. Is Pelle suspended now ? See he has 6 cards.

A player who was unplayable at his peak. Gone backwards over recent seasons but could be a great foil for Pelle. Just depends whether Koeman could motivate him. Might be worth a loan till end of season.

Tadic has probably been worked out by now. Happens to every top player in the league. City were yards faster than us yesterday, gave us no time on the ball. Somewhat reminiscent of Saints last season when we pressed relentlessly.

Need to move the ball quicker. Lost count of the number of times we were dispossessed while in good positions. Mane should be dropped for a while. Tadic to play on the left, Long on the right.

We looked very slow. Required too much time on ball. City passed us to death. Pelle seems to have lost an edge. Should have put away a couple of half-chances. Tadic had another poor game.

Based on one game he is right. Last Monday's game was poor. Hopefully that was an aberration and we will revert to our previous excellent form.

I haven't seen a better defensive unit than ours this season. All great teams start with a great defence. Our midfield is better than all but Chelsea in my opinion. In attack we could be more clinical in finishing perhaps. Sort this and I see no reason why we can't remain exactly as we are at present. If Chelsea slip up we could even lead the PL. Athletics Madrid did it last season, so can we.

Townsend would be good. Brightened up England no end before he was injured.

Really think the opening game against Liverpool could define our season. If we somehow contrive to not lose this fixture, we would generate some confidence in both players and fans.

Purely a personal view, but I thought last year's kit made us look more professional. Going back to stripes seems to be a retrograde step.
