I went to the -Salisbury -Millwall game as well,no where near as intimidating as the 2-2 league draw with Millwall in 1987,with F Troop all at the -Archers Road end with there balaclavas[every single one of them]. Coming back to the thread are there any positions at-St Marys that are left,that would suit Nick Holmes[is a D.O.F still likely?]

Hence why Butterfield probably only signed 1 year deal,and also probably as has already been alluded too,why the injury was not announced earlier.[until Butterfield was signed]. The club appear to have moved quickly here to sign a replacement,and have to be commended for doing so.

With a win we can still almost unbelievably still qualify,do we really deserve to? I hope Dominic Corks apology [on sky player],means we come out sunday and blow Sussex away. As it is on the tv,we really do need to put on a top performance.

NC is spot on,the premier league do not give a damn about the 72 league clubs[Apart from the 3 relegated each year from the premier league]. Trousers your Devils Advocate viewpoint,may well have been Saints position when they were in the premier league[that they were barely worried about the 72 league clubs]. However as NC has only been at the club since last year,he can only look at it from a league club prospective,as I am sure is his total viewpoint.

Good luck to him.However I still have nightmares over the Villa game,about 6 from the end of our relegation season,when we were 2-0 up at half-time. Jacobsen the swede was having probably his best game for Saints[That I saw anyway,was seriously ill for half that season],went off injured at half time,on came CD,we fell apart lost 3-2 and the rest unfortunately is history[Apart from Lowe going]. Davenport was culpable for at least 2 of the goals,and was totally awful that game.

I do not think SJ will be voluntarily coming anywhere near the city of his own accord,against his will perhaps.[Allegedly] Cannot and will not elaborate.

According to another site,he had a medical at Braga in Portugal last week and failed it due to an unspecified reason. One could hardly blame him for wanting to leave,however if that leaves Tommy Forecast as the only other senior keeper on the clubs books we have real problems.

Day 1 we bowled well as a team,although the Kent collapse losing 5 wickets for 10 runs or whatever was rather unexpected. Day 2 the [obvious] key was the magnificent partnership between Carberry and Mackenzie,who barely gave a chance between them. [Have to add the Kent bowling minus Amjad was quite ordinary. Joseph is very quick,but has a tendency to bowl an awful lot of no balls..]. In my previous post I did mean NP .[And not NC-freudian slip].

One of the main requisites for a defender is being able to tackle,he is one of the worst defensive tacklers I have ever seen. Beware

Ron[Weston Saint],was definately there monday,had a long chat with him.I think he was going tuesday,not sure about wednesday. I went first two days,wish I had gone yesterday now.I was going today,as I am sure along with a lot of others did not expect us to win in 3 days. Absolutely delighted with the result,hopefully we are out of the bottom two for good now. Finally I hope Corky stays skipper until Dimi is back,he is a more inspirational skipper than NC, and is it a coincidence NC batted well in the game free of the captaincy.

It is very rare for any team to walk away with any league,Reading and Leicester being the exceptions of recent years. We will have no problem scoring goals,if we stop conceding soft ones at the opposite end,we should with the players we have[and are likely to sign,whoever they may be],be able to finish hopefully in the top two.

Best footballer at the club,if we can get 20-25 games out of him that will be fantastic.

As someone has previously stated we now have the best right back and left back in this league.[both Dickson and Richardson are probably good enough for the championship].We are certainly putting everything in place,to give ourselves the best chance of getting there.

I remember-Brewsters Millions very well,they showed it on our coach on the way back from the Wycombe Wanderers away game in February. As a matter of fact it was far more exciting than the game.[Probably why I remember it so well].

Corky,as I said on another thread,I do not know why some on this site do just not go and support another club.[i am sure they would be much happier,as they would have absolutely have nothing to moan about ]-Thinking about the statement in brackets though,I am sure the moaners on here,would still find something to moan about,even if they single handedly won the euro millions.

He loves the club,like most of us fans,without his help the club may well have folded. For these two reasons alone ,LC has my total respect.

I do not know why all you NC knockers do not just go and find another club to support.

The site is not the problem,it is just some of the people[being polite],that use it.
