In answer to your question, I can't explain why we're still playing football. I can't explain other people's decisions. You can explain your theories though, and having read your posts, I'm genuinely at a loss to understand what you believe is going on.

A week or so ago you called it a ‘so called virus’. I’m glad that you’ve now got a toe in the real world and accept it is a virus. Next please try to move away from living or dying , and understand what this virus can do to those who survive it. The damage the virus actually does is “the truth” - perhaps try to see the actual truth rather than persuading people that there’s an alternative truth. With that said, if you have a theory/version of “the truth”, can you spell it out?

My village FB page yesterday told the story of multiple parents receiving texts from their child's school that they needed to come home and self isolate for 14 days. The reason - a child tested positive at the weekend but was still sent to school by the parents. The kid went around telling people she was positive, yet she remained in the school until yesterday. 300+ kids now have to isolate; people who share the school bus need to trace/isolate; and more to the point, loads of people are likely to have been infected. No amount of government policy will stop people being idiots, or stop the spread now. I was a keen lockdown man early doors, now I'm of the point that the focus should be on hammering home the need to self isolate and get a test wen required, and clamping down on those who don't do that. Everything else is pointless now and we can't decimate the economy anymore.

The shares of that company are 100% owned by its holding company KAPITAL FOOTBALL GROUP LTD which is a jersey based company incorporated on 24th August. No idea what it all means, but a structure has been put in place involving DaGrosa and a company with "SMFC" in it's name. Interesting times.

I asked if it was a particular person as only a few people would have the breadth of knowledge that you claim gets shared with you. It wasn't that person. The allegation that I'd release names of your "contacts" is outrageous. You can claim to be an uber itk if it makes you feel better, but don't cross the line and make absurd allegations. One reason I don't ask for info any more is that if I shared it, there's a risk that given how small the circle of knowledge is, that it could cause them issues. I'm respectful of that.

Good summary MB, although for the reasons below, the jury is out on Hypo for me. I suspect that I was on your list as I did get good info from different people behind the scenes and close to the first team, and I shared limited bits and pieces. Peoples roles change though, and they have to be more discreet, thus I don’t hear anything meaningful these days. Indeed, the people in the club that know anything significant are few and far between, hence I’m very dubious when someone claims to hear things relevant to various aspects of the club - unless it’s board level, or someone in the inner circle, not one person would know so much and if they did they wouldn’t be daft enough to persistently blab to an avid forum poster.

Nothing new known. I remember reading that the acl injury was a horrible one, and then heard the surgery wasn't the best and that he suffered a bad infection. It doesn't look promising for the lad sadly.

He and a few other players would do the Sunday evening Boxcercise circuit class at David Lloyd back in the day. His fitness was another level, one or two of the others were shocking. Nice bloke too.

Personally I feel the only genuine itk, at least on the playing side, is LeG. I merely made that point and he got rather defensive. As to the others, there are some who are plainly on a wind up but some don't see it.

Whether we sign another is a simple 50/50 guess. I reckon we will, my missus says no. Either of us could claim to be itk come 11 o'clock. Either way, I'm more interested in whether we sign another player rather than who's best at guessing.

My money is on something dull like a utility full back. Would love to see RLC but if we get Walcott in, anyone who adds depth is a genuine bonus.
