  1. Yep they could have been 3-0 up if Billy Sharp took those chances. We've had a bit of luck on our good run of results, but feel confident for next season now, especially if we replace Vestergaard. 11th placed finish, 52 points, amazing number of away league wins and a 4-0 thrashing of the Skates at Fratton, that should be filed as a good season for us.

    Adam Lallana

It would have been nice to see him return for no other reason than seeing the Northam End swaying in unison to the chorus of He plays on the left He plays on the riiiiiiiggght Adam Lallana makes Messi look shite
  3. Personally I think if we're offered £60M + then Goa would sell, same with Hojberg and £25M. In theory we've got plenty of players on loan ready to come back. Bye Ings and Hojberg, hello Harrison Reed and Guido Carillo.
  4. Not a lot to play for, Sheffield United have been very good at the back all season and tend to keep things tight, but hopefully this is an open game with plenty of goals to give Ings the chance of grabbing a couple and get the golden boot. 4-3 saints win.
  5. Defence looks a bit of a mess to me, Glenn Murray will score. Hoping we can get a 1-1 out of this.
  6. In terms of our league position best we can hope for now is 11th, and that looks difficult with Everton having Villa and Bournemouth at home still to play. Lowest we can be is 14th but I don't see Newcastle or Palace picking up many more points either, so 12th it is for us. Not bad. Ralph is bound to give some fringe players some game time. As for Bournemouth, it's hard to hate them but the way they celebrated at St Mary's singing saints go marching down and mind the gap mind the gap southampton it would be a nice bit of karma to send them down. Perhaps once crowds are allowed back we can go down there to play a friendly to raise some funds for them. Hope Leicester miss out on champions league, can't stand Rogers or Vardy.
  7. Bournemouth looked decent and have found some fight and spirit, they'll fancy their chances against us and Everton in final two games with both in theory having nothing to play for. Keeps it interesting, Watford thought they were safe, I could see them dropping back in.
  8. Think probably right, Walker Peters they might rest if he has a headache after the clash last night, young Valery might get another chance. This is just the sort of game we struggle in, like Burnley/ Newcastle / West ham etc at home. What's the story with the other youngsters? Vokins played well in the cup against Huddersfield but he won't have had any competitive football for a while now, would seem risky to have to raw full backs. I'd keep Bertrand in. Smallbone has impressed , should get some more minutes in this one. Will Ferry - don't know much about him, hope he comes good as surely a song to the tune of the woolston ferry will be adapted for him. Jankewitz- don't anything about him
  9. Wilder should really win manager of the year. At this rate they'll be in the Europa league group stage next season, when you look at them and Wolves does make you wonder what we could have achieved if we were not such a shambles at the start of the season. Special mention for Dyche at Burnley, he's done a superb job again (beating us twice frustratingly) We'll now finish 11th - 14th , not much scope for moving up the table.
  10. I'd agree with all that, Brighton and Sheff Utd at home are just the sort of games we have been struggling with this season, hard to know how those sides will approach the game depending on what's at stake. Bournemouth might just throw everything at us if last chance for survival , that would suit us.
  11. If Hoijberg does leave I'd like to see us replace him Harrison Reed from Fulham, played well last night and won man of the match, seems to win it every time I see Fulham play, gets about the pitch, wins the ball and really helps to drive their midfield.
  12. The bottom 3 are gone, but will we have the pleasure of making Bournemouth relegation official or will they be down already? It's likely they'll lose next two v Leicester and Man city.

    20/21 Kit

It's important for our sponsor to be clearly displayed so they can raise their profile from a non existent business with a mysteriously large marketing budget to an internationally recognised brand specialising in.... whatever it is they pretend to do. Does anyone know if we'll be able to get the BLM badge on the shirts alongside the Premier league and virgin badges?
  14. The top 7 (or even doesn't look achievable to me, 10th would still be incredible if we can reach that. Next two games are tough.

    20/21 Kit

3rd kit should have been the home. Red kit is approved as our home (main) kit as it complied with the Chinese communist party colour scheme
  16. Yep Everton 7th on 61 points, we were 8th on 46! Haha got to be the lowest ever points for top 8. Hopefully we can beat that points tally this year, I'll predict 50 points.
  17. Hopefully Man City beat Newcastle by at least 3 goals this evening to allow us to go up another place in the table to 12th. Mad looking at the table to think we finished 8th on 46 points in 2017.
  18. Will that be 10 consecutive seasons stuck in the bottom two divisions divisions hahahahah, whole generation of fans growing up knowing the best they can do is occasional runs in the checkatrade trophy for excitement. Absolutely brilliant couple of days of football.
  19. The fact this is at Goodison means we as fans have to approach this game knowing it is highly unlikely we will win. Its just one of those things. Even when we were 1-0 up in 95th min when Hughes was manager we managed to concede. I suppose it would be ironic to win there the one time no Saints fans can be in the ground to see it. Looking at the table I don't think Europe is a realistic aim for us, top half would still be fantastic achievement all things considered in a frustrating season where we had a record loss and Burnley / West Ham / Newcastle did the double over us.
  20. Brilliant result and an amazing game, it suited us to play like the away team, we'll have to find a new way of playing when we host Brighton and Sheffield United. Despite 3 wins in 4 since the restart we've not really made any progress climbing the table just going up one place above Palace, still in touching distance of the top half, would be good to aim for that.
  21. We will lose and in the process set a record for most home defeats in a season. But if we somehow manage to achieve a miracle and win at home that will make us mathematically safe? Will be nice to avoid conceding too many.
  22. Think there are bound to be a few twists, Bournemouth should be looking at getting points tonight at home to Newcastle, hopefully West Ham will lose against Chelsea. From the games I've seen Norwich look certain for the drop and Villa likely as well. I'd like Brentford to come up, although not a fan of their new stadium compared to Griffin park, shame to see another good old ground disappear. Their fans must be gutted not to be able to give it a proper send off.
  23. Didn't we play them away twice just after our 0-9 and actually did quite well (despite losing) regained some spirit and pride, we should approach this game in the same way, don't leave a lot of space at the back they'll just pick through the gaps. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst with our home record. Even if we lose hopefully Ings can get a goal or two, has a Saints player ever won the golden boot before?

    BLM & Football

That's a start, now a few more dissenting voices will begin to make themselves heard, Starmer distancing labour from BLM as he knows their true motives will gradually be revealed, nothing about race just another method to try to smash the system and make change in an undemocratic way. Henry's statement has been well received, also Le Tissier not comfortable with having to wear the BLM badge that sky are forcing on all their presenters , hopefully that will be dropped now.
  25. Still bottom of the league based on home results. Shocking. At least they can't blame the fans this time.
