Maybe. I guess we’ll never know. I’m sure if he’s a dud it’ll be a Jones signing.
-
You’d hope an apology is forthcoming if it is a bad injury. The injury was following a couple of errors, Che Adams mis placed an incredibly easy pass and then ABK did a bambi on ice impression…..
-
-
No, because he’s injured. Fucking blokes useless, hasn’t scored since getting an ACL. Mind you, neither has Che Adams in the same time period….
-
Dear God…..

It was his worst performance for us by a mile imo. I thought he even hid a bit, not really wanting the ball every time, when normally he’s totally willing to receive it anywhere. His all round performance was excellent at Bournemouth, he was a million miles off that Weds.

Proving once and for all what a load of old fucking pony Xg is. He missed one at Wolves my old mum could have knocked in with her slippers on. Missed a one on one at Fulham, Forest on Weds. These goals would have changed games, changed the mood and confidence. He’s every bit as responsible for our position as Lyanco & Jones imo.

Exactly this. Bunch of wankers, I don’t remember disliking a bunch as much as these mincers. Chucked Ralph under a bus, chucked this bloke under the bus and they’ll eventually chuck the next one under as well. Until we clear the vast majority out we’re stuffed. It would be funny if SR said to them “we’ve listened, and sacked Jones”. Now meet your new boss and his asst.

My solution is pretty straightforward. I’d line the bunch of Son-in-Laws up and give them some home truths. If they don’t like it, they can have a go and even bring their dinners. I’d then have a chat with Jones asking him what his solution was. If I didn’t didn’t like the cut of his jib, I’d kick his welsh arse out of my office. Id then call Dyche asking what backing he’d need to sort us out. If his terms were unacceptable, I’d kick his ginger arse out of my office. I’d then call in this order Roberto Martínez, The fat Aussie at Celtic, Steve Holland.

What was needed from them last few minutes was to get the fucking thing in the mixer and throw extra bodies in there. If they can’t work that out, good god. Last few mins we worked a position for JWP to cross the ball and he fucking squared it again. The fact players are looking to the bench when we’re 1 down entering injury time says as much about them as it does the boss. Do you think Jimmy Case or Carlton Palmer would be looking at the bench wondering how to play. What the fuck was the captain, our experienced international player doing, sort it out yourselves and then dig out the manager later. The lack of urgency at the end was pitiful. Fucking disgrace.

Had anyone else taken us down, and we then appointed the bloke who got Luton into the play offs. A bloke that had a decent championship win ratio, loads would be for it.
-
Yes I did watch. It was as bad as Brentford away last season, which I also watched. If you’re judging the last 10 mins of games, I presume you thought the attempt to beat 9 men Newcastle under Ralph as bad. Don’t you think claiming Lyanco couldn’t get in the Havant side or Jones couldn’t manage in the Championship valid criticism, or emotional nonsense?
-
It’s way OTT. Even some of the football criticism is becoming ridiculous.” Lyanco wouldn’t get in the Havant side”, “Jones is a Sunday league manager”, “Jones couldn't manage us in Championship”, are a few of the gems posted. He maybe out of his depth in the Premier League but he’s done a decent job in the Championship without a pot to piss in. He basically did to Luton what Eddie Howe did with Boscombe before the money came in. Clearly he’s struggling, but some of the moaning is out of perspective.

Why does Salisu get a free ride from some on here. He regularly makes fuck ups and I’m not convinced he’s 100% committed. If a new signing pushes his levels back up to where they were, that’s a result even if the new signing doesn’t start every week. One thing for sure, with this bunch Salisu doesn’t need to play particularly well to get picked week in week out.
-
I didn’t want him, but we are where we are. For me it’s just a timing issue. I think the mentality needs an overhaul & some senior players brought in. Sacking him with Ralph’s players and Ralph’s culture of softness is incredibly harsh imo. Personally, I’d give him to the end of the month to see if there’s a step change in attitude and toughness. Is he big enough to impose his culture at the club? Looks doubtful, but unless somebody does, this group of son in laws are going down regardless of who manages us.
-
Egg. This is exactly what I’m on about. Jones said this directly to sky “ I take sole responsibility for the results we're getting, and I'll take sole responsibility when things turnaround," But no, according to this poster he’s “shouldered no responsibility”.
-
Fair enough. I didn’t mean to come over slagging the non league game. I know from my lad the dedication involved. He travels over an hour to training and travels miles on match day, and all for about £60. However, I thought his pile on a bit classless. if Doswell is given the Portsmouth role replacing Cowley it would clearly be a step up. If within weeks a Wessex league manager was on local radio slagging him off, I’m sure he’d be pretty pissed off. Particularly if he was claiming a league 1 player wouldn’t get in his side. The pile on is a bit OTT in my opinion, particularly Blackmore. The bloke who sucked Ralph off every week and told us we should be grateful we’re in the top flight, is now giving it to us straight. You had Tessam (a woeful pundit) stating that Jones needs to play HIS system and what he knows, before slagging off 3 at the back. A contradiction clearly. You’ve got people bemoaning “hoof ball” whilst calling for Dyche. The obsession with failures of 3 at the back is ridiculous. When you don’t compete, don’t score, don’t tackle or don’t mark people it’s irrelevant what formation you play. I’m all for constructive criticism, but a lot is crossing the line. Bloody hell I dread to think what Lawrie would get if he relegated Ted Bates team in this era (and no I’m not comparing Jones to Lawrie). This has been coming to a head for 18 months, “soft as shite mentality” is in our DNA now. Jones should at least be given the transfer window and a couple of seasoned pros to see if he can turn it round. If he can’t I’ll be the first in line with my pitchfork.

“Trying to get Ralph sacked” lol 😂 what a drama queen. It’s because of Ralph we’ve got the worst squad in the league. The more they played under him the worse a lot of them got. Salisu is a shadow of what he was when he first arrived, Stuart Armstrong going backwards, Bednerak was always pretty average, but he got (unbelievably) even worse. He continued with Prowse as captain when he clearly wasn’t up to it. To believe we were heading anywhere other than relegation under Ralph is deluded. His time had gone. Some people on this forum want it both ways, blame SR for Ralph’s failings despite him having years to sort it out, but blame Jones for the present predicament despite only being in post a few weeks. The buck stops with the manager, Jones is responsible for the shit show he’s serving up and Ralph was responsible for the fucking awful legacy he’s left him.
-
“Another manager”. A non league manager, you mean. He’s not one of his peers anymore than my son (who plays a couple of levels down than Doswell )is a peer of Harry Kane’s.
-
That’s worrying……..For wolves
-
Don’t talk fucking pony. We had Danny Ings during some of the shite Ralph served up. I’ll bet my life we wouldn’t have lost at Fulham or last night with him in the side. After nearly 4 years in charge, we’ve got the worst fucking squad in the league, that’s Ralph’s legacy.
-
Well he’s clearly a better manager than the Havant & Waterloovile one but he’s not premier league level, whether he will be in time is a different matter. I think a broadcaster should be consistent, they’re piling into to Jones in a way they didn’t to Ralph, Blackmore sucked up to him constantly. They’ve done it here, contrast Blackmores words about Cowley to his words about Jones. Supporters are emotionally charged, but professional broadcasters should take the emotion out of it.
-
The re writing of Ralph is getting laughable now. We lost 9-fucking 0 twice. We suffered countless other shellackings, we failed to score against a side that had 9 men for a lot of the second half. We went to a semi final and lay down and died, we had some performances every bit as bad as yesterday and he made a cock of himself when we actually had a decent win. He spent every trip to Anfield or City with his tongue up Pep & Klopp arse and he blamed the players when we lost. Criticise Jones by all means, but don’t try and make out last night wouldn’t have happened under Ralph. It did, frequently.
-
Because he was up Ralph’s arse. Brentford away was as bad last season and he didn’t get into Ralph. It’s also bizarre the way he starts by saying he feels sorry for Cowley because he’s been there longer, and it’s different circumstances. Cowley’s had 2 seasons to get his ideas across and build a side and has clearly failed. Blackmore clearly showing his bias there. I could understand it if he said “I feel a bit sorry for jones who has inherited a mess BUT”. No, he feels sorry for the bloke whose been given time and blown it.
