Forster Trending On Twitter For Being Sh!ite
Lord Duckhunter replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Goal keepers are far far better than they ever were in the “ golden period” . Peter Schmeichel turned the dial imo , it’s no surprise his star fish style is now the norm, because he raised the bar and personally I think he’s the best that’s ever played in England . Of course with modern coaching, lifestyles, pitches & rules Banks, Shilts & others from those past eras would also be brilliant today, although they may struggle size wise. Keepers have never been coached better, FF maybe poorly coached ( I wouldn’t know either way) but poorly coached in the modern game by a specialist, is head & shoulders above the coaching from past eras. The one area keepers are clearly poorer ( and it applies to most modern players of any position) is leadership, organisation, talking to the back 4. And unfortunately Forster is woeful at this as well. To me, he’s an average keeper in a poor run of form. He wasn’t particularly good even during his purple patch after his return from injury. He’s flat footed, quiet and doesn’t come for anywhere near enough crosses. That’s not poor coaching, that’s just the way he is. I’m not sure those skills can be coached Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
By any other measure? What about measuring cup runs, let's measure that. Or is that too simplistic a measure. Don't tell me it was the worst cup final run in the history of cup final runs. Worst ever 8th place finish & worst ever cup final run.... Personally I prefer the old fashioned measures. Tried & tested measures , like league position & how far you get in the cups. If you want to watch a sport where results are based on artistic merit, may I suggest ice dancing.

Pony, not only is the timing out, it’s not from the date of the article , but the date of the new PM. But the whole premise is based on May starting trade talks, she didn’t. Where is the link to a leaver stating deals would be “sown up” ( not the negotiation phase completed, because that’s impossible under A50). Sown up implies, done ,dusted , signed. If I said “ I expect MP to play Forster in goal sat , and therefore we will beat WBA easily” , am I wrong if MP plays Josh Sims in nets and we lose 6-5? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

So where do you think this squad of players should realistically finish. I presume it must be 7th, because anyone who thinks our squad is better than Chelsea’s, Spurs , the 2 Manchester clubs, Liverpool or Arsenal is deluded. And clearly 8th isn’t good enough for you. Would also be interested in your expectations regarding the cups, logic suggests that nothing other than winning one each season is good enough for you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Look at it from the clubs point of view, we didn’t sell out Stoke which is nearer , so why risk the chance of being lumbered with tickets. It seems they lost money on both games last season as well. It seems to me that some people pick & choose their games & then moan when they can’t get tickets for certain ones. Liverpool away was pretty much guaranteed for anyone who did 5 always, this season & last. **** me it’s not like Utd or Liverpool where you need 17/18 away matches to qualify. 5 in a year and 3 months isn’t really that many. Although, I’m sure they’ll be plenty of excuses as to why people couldn’t reach that number, but I doubt we sold less than 5 aways out last season. Some members will probably miss out, and for them I’d hold back a couple of hundred & then after half a dozen games, count membership as equal to ST. It does seem unfair that a st holder with 2 aways is ranked above a member with 5. What would also help people wanting to go to the occasional game,is if people stopped buying tickets when they’ve no intention of attending, but I guess that ain’t going to happen. Not the referendum result then? Where’s that quote The claim was the leave side told us that trade deals “would” be “sown up” 18-24 months from the “result”. The link posted said if the new PM started trade talks immediately ( which she didn’t) , he expected the negotiation phrase to be completed in that timescale. There’s clearly a difference. Maybe in his excitement to post more negative rubbish he made an error, perhaps he should have posted “ We were promised that IF the new PM started trade talks immediately( which she didn’t) we could have the negotiation phase completed within 18-24 months of her appointment, 2.5 months after the result ”, but he didn’t . He claimed the promise was they’d be sown up 18-24 months after the result. Of course, there could be a link to someone promising that, but it seems to be taking a while to find it. Still no quotes or links to anyone claiming trade deals will be sown up by June ‘18, I’m starting to doubt any exist . Hopefully tomorrow, you’ll dig some out. “ I would expect the new Prime Minister on September 9th to immediately trigger a large round of global trade deals with all our most favoured trade partners” . Is not in any way shape or form, a promise that trade deals will be sown up by 18-24 months of the result. “I would expect”, had she done so, we'd be well on our way to utopia. Just shows the complete Horlicks the Remain PM has made of the whole process. Nobody on the Remain side should have been allowed anywhere near the great offices of state, until the whole thing was sorted. The person in charge -remain , A50 timing -remain , election decision- remain, the bloke with the purse strings - remain, NHS- remain, Immigration-remain , Justice - remain . It's a remain government ****ing things up, so it seems rather bizarre to blame Leave. A competent PM would have started talks when DD "expected" them to. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I wouldn’t sack MP, but if we did I’d like Dyche to come in and kick the little darlings arses Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
You said 18-24 months from referendum RESULT. Still waiting for the links. There’s no way you’d have just made it up, so surprised there’s no links or direct quotes. I’ll ask again , who said we’d have trade deals sown up by June 2018? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

So no links yet then. Keep looking, remember it’s 18-24 months from the date of the referendum RESULT. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I’m struggling here, perhaps one of the moaners can help me out. Puel finished 8th, but it was the shietist 8th place finish in football history. The implication being that with our squad of players, we should have finished higher or been more exciting to watch.Les Reed provided Puel with those players. Players that are better or more exciting than they showed last season. Yet they moan about Reed as well. Either Reed gave us players that were better than 8th in which case , well done , that’s pretty good on our budget. Or he gave us shiete average players, in which case well done to Puel for getting them 8th. It seems to me that people are moaning about Reed & Puel, when the facts show that one moan contradicts the other. Therefore the only logical conclusion is that they’re whinging twts , who have a strange sense of entitlement. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

Interesting take on “best” manager . Not Lawrie , who actually won something, not Ted, not even Koeman who finished 6th & 7th ( and was chosen by Les) , but a bloke who finished 8th before ****ing off first chance he got. That’s 8th without a cup final, unlike WGS & Puel who managed the same position & a final. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Please post links where somebody on the leave side said major trade deals would be sown up within 12-24 months of the RESULT. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You’re right. It would probably be 56%/ 44% for leave now.

No, we should have accepted that 8th & a cup final with this ****ing squad was the best it gets. You reap what you sow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What a bunch of wet fannies. Keep convincing yourselves that it’s the managers fault. I said all along that Puel did a ****ing good job with the players he was given. What on earth makes people think that we’d be any better this season. Do people really think that Rafa or Silva or even Jose Mourinho would have had us much higher than 8th last season? People are ****ing deluded, we have a ****ing average squad. We have a worse manager than Puel and guess what, we’re going to finish lower. Why are you chumps surprised? You've got to laugh haven't you. The losing side telling the winning side they needed to make a more convincing case. There was only one side of the argument that needed to do more convincing, yours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Spot on They’re not just trying to punish us, they’re also putting ideology before the well being of their own citizens. You can debate whether no deal is worse for them or us, but people can not deny that no deal is worse than having a deal for them. If we’d never joined in the first place they’d be falling over themselves to get a free trade deal with us, in fact if they did one, they’d be holding it up as an example of how great the EU is. How countries have worked together to get a great trade deal with the UK. We wouldn’t have needed to accept free movement , ECJ rulings or to pay money in, any more than Canada does. We’d also be able to make deals with other nations. They want to punish us because they don’t want others leaving. Think about that for a minute. It’s actually a damning indictment of the EU , the whole stinking edifice and an endorsement of the Brexiters world view. If leaving is so bad, if leaving will cause so much economic damage, if being in enlightens a nation & makes it prosper, why do they need to deliberately try & make that worse. They must know deep down that we will prosper, that we will become a better country to do business with, otherwise they wouldn’t need to frighten others from leaving. Their biggest fear is Brexit being a success & others wanting some of the same. For them to have that fear they must accept the possibility that it will be. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
