  1. Not at all. Leaving the ERM against the wishes of the EU cheerleaders , produced a boom in jobs . Jobs taken by the " have nots " . The same "have nots " who will give Remain a good kicking in labour areas on Independence Day . Middle class Tory lites like yourself may win the day because all your interested in is yourself and how it may cost you a couple of quid . But the poorest will be the ones to suffer
  2. Cause it's all about you isn't it? What a Tory attitude . What happened to the economy when leaving the ERM devaulded the £ . Not what happened to your shopping bill , try and think of the rest of the country , what happened to the economy ?
  3. Doesn't it follow that it'll make exports cheaper .
  4. Majors the bloke who didn't give us a vote on Maastricht and also took us into the ERM , I can't think of many less qualified than John Major to lecture us about the EU
  5. Makes you wonder why New Zealand doesn't join a union with Australia or Japan with China . How on earth do hundreds of independent countries manage without others holding their hands and setting their immigration levels . These independent countries must be dangerous places
  6. You must be puddled then because I'm 52 and I remember them winning 2 championships, European cup winners cup, & the fa cup twice.
  7. Who claims that then ? They have a majority of MP's but I have never heard any Tory claim the majority voted for them .
  8. Contrast Izzard's lunacy & the remain fish wives attacks on Boris with Martin Lewis on This Week. Summarised, there are no facts , you have to weigh up risk, his personal opinion was the risk was 55%-45% in favour of staying but as with any risk the rewards could well be higher if we take the ," riskier" option , in 20 years we could have a booming tiger economy . but, personally he was voting remain . Said he would not campaign or advise others and was disappointed his quotes were taken out of context by remain. The weighing up risk and taking time to consider a close call struck me as exactly the line Cameron should have taken. I'm sure had he acted more statesmanlike, conceded that in some cases leave were right, but overall he was advising staying in , they'd have won pretty easily. They still may win but he's damaged himself, the party and still won't have settled the issue .
  9. Sounded to me like " just as euro -sceptic as England " . But even if he did say what you claim , it would clearly be a slip of the tongue . It was pretty hard to hear him because that complete and utter bell end Izzard kept shouting " immigrant " at him . You've got to laugh at the remain camp .I bet they thought they'd get Nigel on and he'd say something stupid and turn voters off . Problem was , even if he said the moon was made of cheese and the EU run by lizards , it would of paled into insignificance compared to the complete and utter pony Izzard was spouting . **** me , he even looked a right plum , sat in his pink Frank spencer head gear . I bet Remain wished Spencer himself was on rather than him . Remain are going to have to lock him in the cupboard they've got Lord Rose in . A good day for leave . Skinner & Mann coming out for them , poor from the remain women and then Izzard .
  10. Let's see more of him . Dennis Skinner comes out for leave .
  11. Osbornes at it tonight , but luckily Andrew Neil won't have any of it . Hopefully lots of undecided watched as Neil was all over him . Loved his face whilst Neil played video of Cameron saying he won't take no for an answer when he asks for an end to free movement & when he tells Turkey how much he wants them in . Great when Osborne says " leave that figure up for viewers to see " , Neil says of course he will and then a caption appears from the treasury select committee advising against using that figure as it was misleading and false . Highlight for me was his line " Turkey won't be joining the EU ...............today ". God how shifty did the pause and then " today" make him look . Oh and Cameron's , no if , buts or maybes on immigration wasn't a promise , it was an ambition . I've just informed Mrs Duck my wedding vows were an ambition .
  12. How much do people think Emery & Pellegrini will want? Seeing as we couldn't get near what Everton are paying Koeman do people really think either one is feasible?
  13. I've always loved Liverpool as a city , and have met some decent Everton supporters , and I'm not going to change my mind just because a few I don't know and will never meet post anonymously on a football forum . Same with Ron , I'm not going to start saying he was shiete just because he's left us. Personally I thought he was exactly what we needed 2 summers ago and suited our club . We were good for each other. Tactically I thought he was pretty flexible, certainly more so than Poch. I liked the back 3 , particularly play Ryan B in there, which many didn't see coming . I did get the feeling he was as intense as he should of been and sometimes we drifted in games . Nowhere near as good football as Poch side, but you can't argue with his 7th and 6 t h finish . I did wonder ( and posted before) if he was Laudrap like and it would all come to a head one day . Will it work at Everton ? Im not so sure, but after Claudio , predicting how managers do is a mugs game . One thing I'd certain , it's gonna be tough to break the top 4 next season . Liverpool , Chelsea utd, will be better .
  14. Whatever the result Cameron has run a shocking campaign again. He should have won an outright majority against Brown , but blew it . Ran an awful Scottish independence campaign , then won a general election on the back of labours unpopularity in Scotland ( partly down to the aforementioned campaign) & the lib dumbs getting blamed for the coalition . He's now running a campaign totally demeaning to his office , making Harold Wilson's one look positively statesmanlike. He's then going to bog off back to kitchen suppers in chipping Norton , leaving his buddy Gideons dream in ruins .
  15. Quique Sanchez Flores or Eddie Howe for me
  16. Remain MP's not accepting the will of the people . If the people vote out , they'll do so on the basis of ending free movement
  17. You can take the **** , but the Everton blokes saying its a done deal have been right , or am I missing something ?
  18. Great man and a fantastic boxer . I'm old enough to remember how frightening George Foremsn was , he'd basically murdered Joe Frazier , yet Ali took it all in the jungle and then knocked him out . Such a character , yet so humble in later years as he fought a horrendous disease . Love his quote about the war " it's the white man , sending a black man , to fight the yellow man , in the name of a land they stole from the red man "
  19. And what would this forum be like if we got taken over ?
  20. Anyone who doesn't think Ron will be the next manager of Everton is a complete and utter **** wit
  21. I posted in the Koeman thread when he arrived that is been drinking in a Dutch bar in Alberfuria the summer Ron arrived . The general opinion from the owners & a couple of Dutch locals ( the entertainment was also a Dutch guitarist ) was that Koeman was ok , but Pelle had basically rescued his career . Also claimed that Erwin was a fantastic coach , and we'd struck lucky getting him with Ron . They seemed surprised that he was willing to take a back seat to Ron
  22. Id take him . Similar to Koemans record , some high points and some so so seasons . Would Koeman have done better at Watford ? Seems to fit our model .
  23. Boscombe didn't have any money until the Russian . Howe over achieved before that
  24. Boscombe won the championship , so how did Adkins do better
  25. Perfectly reasonable . Eddie Howe is their Ted Bates or Lawrie Mac , and I know lawrie left , but he didn't go as soon as someone flashed the cash . It's going to be much harder emotionally for Howe to leave Boscombe than Koeman to leave us . If we wanted a manager who isn't using us as a stepping stone we should have stuck with Nigel
