I think the complete opposite is true . Because of our previous sucsessful academy players people are desperate for him to be next off the production line . It's a victory for hope over reality. The press want to write " another one" from saints academy, the club obviously want it and supporters want it , but it's really not going to happen . Had we signed him from abroad he'd be called a waste of money . When are we going to start seeing performances that live up to the hype , because he's been around the first team 4 years and has yet to produce anything that convinces me he's anything other than Andrew Surman mk2 ?

People are only giving their opinions , what are they meant to do? Pretend they think hes a good player? He's average at best , not a patch on Jack Cork and nowhere near Steve Davis' level. He's a "nearly" player, nearly makes a tackle, nearly takes a great set picece, nearly makes a killer pass. I don't care how old he is , if he picks up a wage packet , if he talks about England, if he is an adult , I'll judge him on what I see. What's he actually good at, he's got to be our slowest player, hes weak in the tackle, he can't score, he doesn't have a trick or beat people , hes a set piece specialist, who doesn't actually create anything , what exactly are his strengths, OK forget strengths, name one strength he's got.Being young or passing sideways are not strengths .

Terrible day , from being refused entry to the real ale pub I visit every time I'm up there ( change of policy on away fans) , getting soaking wet walking to ground, sw trains ****ing the buses up , to the final insult of getting stuck with a Gastonette on the tube journey from Euston to Waterloo. And all for about £150 , for what ? 30 minutes performance? Vic & OR were shocking , Yoshida wtf , JWP anonymous yet again. Second half was obviously better, but even if we'd gone 2-3 , reckon they'd have still done us . Our better display second half was as much to do with them stepping off the pace as us playing well. You can not go to a champions league ground without playing the best available side and can not give them a two goal start . Its as simple as that . I prey that Ron did it to concentrate on Weds , because if he really believes that was our best side for that game, he needs shooting. Plus points was the performance of all 3 subs . Tadic gave us extra quality , Juanmi didn't look like a little boy lost, and I thought Cauker did well. Mane was head & shoulders above the rest of our side and Long was Long and worked really hard. If JWP does have this " future England " player tag, lets sell in Jan before other clubs cotton on that he's a myth.

Slowing down the rate you increase spending is not cutting . Nobody is denying that there have been cuts in certain areas , but that's an argument over priorities and where the money we spend is spent . You can even argue that we need more government spending , but " cuts" in overall government spending are non existent or minuscule at best . This government is doing exactly what Alister Darling planned to do and it's only sustainable whilst we have growth .

There is a debate to have about how and where money is spent , but Government is not and has not cut its spending in real terms by anything other than a minuscule amount . It's a strange definition of " austerity " .

Osborne is basically a New Labour chancellor, this was an Alister Darling review ,following on from an Alister Darling " deficit reduction " plan . Austerity? My arse . That's still to come , most likely when our children or grandchildren get a politician with the balls to sort out the mess we'll leave them . There's not much difference in real terms spending since 2010 and whilst some indidual areas have faced cuts , overall there's been pretty much naff all. Ask the Irish or the Greeks about austerity , our version is just smoke and mirrors. The country was ready for austerity, voted for austerity and then this " so called " Tory party tinkered around the edges. The worst thing is the country thinks it has had austerity when the reality is so different. What a wasted opportunity , history will judge these " one nation " clowns as harshly as that bumbling idiot Heath. It suits Labour to bang on about " cuts" , suits Tories to pretend there are " cuts" . Its like some sort of wwf bout , fixed and fake with everybody playing the part the public expect . Someone needs to tell the king he's bollocko .

That was clearly a " joke" but that wasn't the issue . The issue was poor delivery and poor reaction to what Osborne actually proposed. It was as if he had written the speech and was going to deliver it come what may . It's not easy reacting to a budget or spending review , but this was completly hopeless.He then compounded it and pulled out of the normal Daily Politics interview directly after and put up his deputy instead . McDonnell is delivering the most inept speech I've ever seen in response to the spending review , I almost feel sorry for him.

Somewhen soon JWP has to live up to this " potential " he's supposed to have . Personally I don't see it .Really good young players shine bright and then dip , they're inconsistent . I just don't see the ups with him , he's average at best . Whens he ever got you off your seat the way Jack Grelish did for spells last season . Ross Barclay can look class at times, Alli is having a great spell at the moment. JWP is just meh, week in week out . Perhaps he's got something that the professional eye can see that a fat 50 year old supporter can't , but I'd wish he'd hurry up and show it on a match day . What's he got apart from a great set piece ritual ? Looking the part by bouncing the ball , making a signal , looking up, is all well and good but when's he going to actually do something concrete? Being England captain at under 21 level means **** all if 5 of your age group play in the seniors . If the under 21 side was made up of all eligible players he wouldn't get a game .

Unless you're one of the top top sides you're always going to get 2 or 3 of those performances each season . Stoke played well , defended well and had a crispness with their passing that we lacked . Classie played ok & personally I thought VvD did ok but other than that the rest were pretty ordinary . As well as he's played this season I wouldn't want Pelle in the trenches with me . Moaning at others and the booking was a effing disgrace , a selfish act . The ban is bad enough , but we needed the ball back in play quickly . The only upside is he'll miss a game that's pretty much a no hoper anyway . Substations were poor Juanmi looked like a little boy lost ,& JWP ****ing words fail me how slow he is . In one instance running after the ball I think I'd have got there quicker and I'm 50 and had 6 pints in my belly . Shocking .

Andrew Neil gave a great opening speech against ISIS , with good contributions from Portillio , Liz Kendall and some army bloke whose name I didn't catch because Mrs duck started nagging on for a few secs . Star of the show talking some real sense was George Galloway . Showed lefties everywhere how poor Corybin really is . Said you have to be unequivocal when talking about protecting the nation ,said he would shoot to kill them with his own hands and watch them die in the street. Talked of the many varied reasons for the conflicts , about forming an alliance with Russia and other sensible things . Very impressive contribution.

The cretins to blame are the mp's that " lent" their vote to get him on the ballot . The leader is voted for by the membership and a majority of them are lefties . The only way to stop them electing a leftie loon like Corbyn is to limit the ballot to moderate candidates . That's the whole reason that the PLP impose a threshold , a threshold the cretins gerrymandered . How on earth is he going to be replaced when the members are so much in favour of him? I'm getting confused . I thought anything in the Daily Fail was horse shiete, lefties posting links to it. Strange times indeed. There is a lot you can throw at Old Jezza ,from his incompantance , to the total abandonment of some " principles" . This however is not a stick to beat him with. The leader of the opposition can't go round spouting off and commenting every 5 minutes , if he did he'd be accused of making political capital out if it. Old Jezza has behaved perfectly respectfully and correctly at present , whether that continues if Cameron wants to go into Syria and bomb their medieval arses is another matter . As is his support for any additional powers our protectors want , but at the moment he's done nothing wrong .

I was always told to carry id in France as the police can hold you for up to 4 hours whilst they establish who you are . I would imagine that the bombers travelled separately from the weapons and therefore may have had id on them in case they were stopped during the journey to meet up with the weapons . Maybe they calculated that showing a passport would arouse less suspicion than having no ID. It's not like they were wanted for anything at that time, so would have shown the passport and be sent on their way. Obviously it's speculation, but that makes more sense than somebody planting a passport on a dead bomber or somebody making up a factious passport story . I would have thought if there was going to be a cover up by the establishment it's more likely to involve covering up the fact they came in via Greece than make up thy they did when they didn't . As it shows the utter failure of their beloved EU to police its border. Didn't they identify the ones that came via Greece by the fingerprints taken when they applied for asylum anyway?
