SAINTS BUST would be a great name as they represent the past when they played fiddle to those that got the club BUST. I can confirm that STU is no friend of Saints Trust and has long campaigned for it's closure. Just how many paid up members do they actually claim. 55% to bring down the goverment, so how does 1% represent the supporters interests.

Condolances to all the family and friends. Behind every great man is a great woman and Mary certainly was such a woman and played a vital role in Ted's greatness. RIP Mary.

The turn off with Capello would have been Theo giving too many interviews and statements to the press. He should have kept him mouth shut and let his feet do the talking. Just like with Beckham a few years back Capello is putting Theo into having now to prove himself big time.

H i s c o c k is a common name up north. Seen gravestones marked "Here lies H I S C O C K" Do a google image search and there are a selection of the gravestones. Unfortunately the word censor doesn't allow one to give the links

Ormerod, Ormerod, Ormerod. Really so happy for Brett. Will really be the crowning glory to his career. Few nicer guys every played for Saints than Brett. Well done Blackpool in getting back to the top League.

All the things mentioned above plus loads of hot tea. It'll sweat out what is causing the muscles to ache.

Just how many clubs are going to go to the wall before something is done to put a stop to it all. Preston, who next? By the end of the World Cup I think we're going to see a lot more clubs declaring difficulties. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/lancashire/8684796.stm

In Richard Nixon's time they said never buy a used car from a Capricorn. Now we have a deputy Prime Minister, Trickie Nickie, a Capricorn :finga:

Don't rule out a certain Tony Blair deciding to have another bash at renewing Labour. He's still younger than the age 90% of former PM's took on the job. Any farting about amoung the new generation would only strengthen his belief he could do it all over again.

If I get you right, you're telling me the Pope, who's hoarding the big cache of gold bullion in the world should be in charge of the world economy. Maybe selling off humans as slaves would be your idea of good business.

So many harping on about unelected Prime Ministers. We don't elect Prime Ministers in the UK. We elect Parties and Parties decide on leaders or who's Prime Minister. Sir Winston Churchill wasn't elected till 1950 but lead the country throughout WW2. Sir Alex Douglas Home and John Major weren't elected at first. There must surely be someone in Politics, Labour, Conservative or Lib Dem who could command enough respect at this time of electoral and economic crisis.

It's only the likes of Cameron's ambitions and that of Gordon Brown that is stopping the Conservatives and Labour getting together in a Grand Alliance. It's been done in many countries when the national interest and economy need it. The major sticking point is who is the politician, past or present, but capable of leading a Con-Lab Alliance? Any suggestions of who in these two major parties could win enough respect to be Prime Minister to lead us out of the current stalemate. Would have to be someone who could rise about party politics. How's about Lord David Owen, former Foreign Minister, founder of Social Dems?

Now we know who is in the Playoffs, who do you want to go up?
ART replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Swindon deserve it more than the others having given us the toughest games all season. Someone said they are weak structurally but in fact they have huge finance behind them now, unlike a short time back. -
I'd say it's a little Stir fry from the ruddy faced pig farmer from Glostershire to his mates at the Mail. Happening a little too often for my liking.

It's the cold weather that's killed off all the early birds. The takeover anniversary, the financial reports and then maybe some announcements and decisions.

At long last McMenemy has won back my respect. This statement goes a hell of a way to really reuniting the present with the demons of the past. Thank you Lawrie.

RIP Bobby Stokes, Peter Osgood. For me Saints greatest hour was last year when Marcus Lieber was announced as saviour of our club. No other event in the clubs history will top that for me. On the field however, Saints greatest hour was at Wembley 34 years ago.

If past Player of the season runs like previously, all we're doing is voting for the player most likely to leave in the summer. Don't want to jinx it, so I'm not going to vote.

As a Saints supporter I just can't accept the statement today by the Sheffield Chairman that Palace should be relegated just for going into Administration. Haven't Palace been punished enough despite the odious statement they put out about Saints last year? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/28/crystal-palace-sheffield-wednesday-relegation

I agree that it's far better than Facebook which is as Channon's Sideburns says a nosey b@stard's paradise. I've tried Facebook a couple of times but deleted both accounts. Twitter on the other hand has a lot of potential and that is why I thought it could make supporting Saints even better. I'm amazed after folk get used to you how they follow you or enjoy a chat.

I think everyone knows of Twitter, but are you like me and didn't really know all it entails? Till about a month ago when I signed up via my computer, I'd thought it was only available for texting on mobile phones. Not so. Indeed I'm beginning to find it's far more fun than MSN, Yahoo Messenger or even Facebook and MySpace. I'm amazed all it involves, what a useful free commercial tool it can be and enable to contact clients, as well as people you admire or would like to learn more about. I see a number of footballers tweet regularly as well as some coaches and managers. Do any of our Saints players have a Twitter account? Anyone know. They have over 70 million members worldwide and run all sorts of things including monthly polls for best actor, actress, sportsman, etc. The candidates have to be twitter members, hence me asking if any Saints players have any account. Would be interested to read of what others think, of their experiences, bad experiences as well as good. Over to you.

Any chance of any of the top 6 going into Administration in the next couple of weeks?

Celtic in for Ricky Lambert???!! Nah, they're more interested in signing Adam Lambert!
-
I was thinking exactly the same thing. For me it's nice to read Duncan being objective and fair minded. I could even believe he's learned what a wonderful thing the power of forgiving is.

Edgar Cayce predicted in the 1920's that a volcano blow in Iceland would be the start of catastophic earth changes. Next will be Vesuvius and Mount Pelé in the Caribeean followed by the west coast of America. CNN talking how right he's been. Read all about it or google news Edgar Cayce http://www.alamongordo.com/edgar_cayce_2010_prophecies_2011_predictions_2012_visions.html
