  1. Well good for them then. LLS made an ass of himself from time to time on this very forum but if his group have been able to come up with enough money to save the club then all hail to them.Good on ya Marc.
  2. If I was a quarterback I could quite willing get sacked by a few of those tight ends though.
  3. Why should something happen now, unless of course some-one finds an Aladdin's Lamp in the coal shed this weekend. Reminds me of a guy I worked with for a while. He wanted to buy a TR6 off another work-mate. Agreed to pay £800 for it, trouble is he didn't have any more than £20. So when the bank turned down his loan application, he just backed outsiders at the bookies until he finally had to admit he didn't have the money.
  4. Everyone always looks at what the execs spent but never mentions the 15 or 16 million's worth of players they sold when our all out push for promotion failed. I've never done the maths but on the player sale front I don't doubt that the "execs" made a fabulously large profit.
  5. Why would an oil baron be at the College of Maritime Studies? It's not really an obvious link is it.
  6. Have we actually got any options?
  7. And he wasn't executed, he was killed in a rix with the Mayor of London and some other bloke. It was at Smithfield though, the young King Richard was holding some sort of meeting there.
  8. It actually says "not yet been able to satisfy the conditions" of the exclusivity agreement.
  9. Ay, but not yet, still might get a couple more paydays out of us or the PFA. Longer they stay with us the bigger bonuses they'll get from a new club. Anyway they're all on holiday so no time for find new clubs and stuff like that.
  10. Isn't that the first rule of the tyre kickers charter? Get as far as you can without actually meeting any requirements at all
  11. Coppell is probably burnt out, consumed by the rapid rise and fall of Reading FC. Hard life being a football manager on fairly limited ressources, even Sir Alex had a spell when his sides were total crap. Then Quieroz came back
  12. I don't think our support really is that loyal. Doubt if we even sold that number in the premiership. I looked at their prices nigh on 400£ seems a lot for League 1 football. However the concessions are bargain basement.
  13. Like so many "good sources" on this forum. All full of sh*t,or full of ale or full of ale and sh*t. If I ever knew anything I'd tell you how I knew it. Unfortunately for us all I don't.
  14. Well taking the season before this last one as a reference we still had reasonable gates for the CCC but made a huge loss, even though we sold players to the tune of over 12 million. Tends to indicate that our revenue stream is p*ss poor, concessions forming a too high percentage perhaps. I think I worked out once that the average ticket price was about £13,take the VAT out of that and it's about £11.50,which is about conference level.
  15. Well not exactly, it depends how much that Rugby wallah has bid for the Stadium doesn't it. The Stadium is worth money, cost 32 million to build and now people are trying to buy it as part of a lock stock and barrel deal for a couple of million!! I reckon Pompey would give more than that;
  16. Well I told you they wouldn't take peanuts. Never do, never will, we have saleable assets and if necessary they will make us sell them; a total fùck up.
  17. In Vladivostock
  18. Good News Day, Someone's made a bid somewhere Engaying atmosphere and brightening the sky.
  19. Is his jaw mended then, great, but we still need something on the batting side.
  20. I'll have some of that then,
  21. No, I am advising serious reflection .
  22. Ah right we've had a few of them on here. Good side at one time in the days of John Hagger,John Wathan and Dave Poole.
  23. no the cat ate it, there are no mice in the cheese-shop sketch, the van breaks down, cheddar isn't popular in this manor and the cat eats the Camembert, which is very runny.
