  1. Indeed he should or Kurzawa. Both probably better than Shaw for a fraction of the price. Sell him that's what I say, get the money and get a better player and have some left for a striker.
  2. Bit of a trek though, must be over 300 miles from Nice. Different part of the country. Honestly though La Côte D'Azur is vastly overated, invaded by all sorts of riff-raff to an extent where a couple of major towns are now controlled by the FN (Avignon,Orange) and the others are controlled by the hard right of the hard right. Languedoc Roussillon is far better and less touristy.
  3. No but here's a tip for you. Brush up on your Russian and bring your cash in a wheelbarrow. Cote D'Azur has been invaded by the Russian mob and their Roumanian slaves.
  4. Well BWP scored the 2 goals for us though, when he replaced pie-boy Hammill after an hour.
  5. Justly Evra is out of contract at the end of June, no doubt he has an offer to stay on but it's strongly rumoured that he'll listen to the sirenes at Monaco who are in the CL whereas MU aren't. Utd are desperate for a LB but probably won't pay what we're asking for Shaw.
  6. We can be anyone we want to be....provided we can find a 30 goal a season striker....same as everyone else. We create all the chances we need, we don't put enough of them away.
  7. apparently Mauricio did his negociating for him, probably why he was seen in Marseille a while back.
  8. What do you expect when it's on cheap and nasty public TV to be honest.
  9. Nonsense, Lallana wasn't a great talent back in 2008, couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo when shooting. If he had been able to we might not have even been relegated. Surman was a very average player. Think we got more for McGoldrick than we did for Surman.
  10. Must be an old post, Morgan was round at his Mum's the day before yesterday, due at Clairfontaine tomorrow evening. If he's at SMS recently then there's a very particular reason. Going to the Cup Final today perhaps ???
  11. And they've not realised that the figures being bandied about are by far in excess of the players' actual value? You just cannot believe the media when they start spouting about money, they just make it up as they go along. We want more than the players are worth, if anything I'd think the club will be hacked off if they don't get it.
  12. Or that we were less good than Hull.... Having said that any Arsenal side is diminished by having Fabianski in goal instead of Szceszny. Not seen the game though, no way I'm going to give 11 euros a month to the Qataris
  13. looks like a simple mock-up of an Athletico Madrid kit from the past with Veho photoshopped onto it.
  14. Ah right, It's total bollax, he's on about the figure I've just given you. 3 times that...yes it's possible, puts him on a par with yer Fat Sams and that ilk. The much discussed buy out clause is just that, a penalty he'll incur if he wants to jump ship. It does not represent a year's salary.
  15. Where does this 115K/week come from then, Mauricio is current earning in the region of 20K a week, ie a million or so a year. He's not going to ask for 5 times that. What he wants is a decent team to start next season. All the rest is ancillary.
  16. Wenger can't be sacked if they lose today, he's out of contract and has not renewed, he intends to though...on Monday.
  17. In fact I think we might expect a major clear-out from the DS this summer, all those who's contracts have come to an end. Far too many not making the step up.
  18. Not necessarily. There have always been tales of a fund set up by the late Markus to see Saints achieve their initial ambitions. It could well be that initially we were funded by that and then it ran out. Seems to me that the -50 million marker was the threshhold point. As I keep telling you all Cortese ran everything lock stock and barrel for nigh on 3 years, then he was gradually excluded from everything. It could be that he and another bloke were the executors and that they had a free rein in some matters.
  19. I think they have a football "advisor", even tried to make him a board member at first, just provoked a hail of WTFs. Josef Lennart rings a bell.
  20. These pay it yourself clauses have existed before, think it was Ronaldo (not CR7) who had to pay his own buy out clause, Nike just advanced him the money. Thus it didn't come from the club he was going to, just one of their sponsors.
  21. Surely Pochettino can't get an offer from Tottenham unless the board permit him to speak with them, it's all very Catch 22. However I presume he has an agent who might well get or have got already the basic outlines of an offer from Tottenham.
  22. It wouldn't make them look like liars, it would make them look like clueless fools. Surely a liar knows what he's saying to be untrue, not sure that would be the case with us.
  23. £180 million ?? Never mind Pearson get us the bloke with the swans.
  24. Liverpool failed to win the PL this last season because they couldn't beat Palace in the penultimate match and were mugged by us at home when they were without Suarez. If they'd have beaten us that day then they would have won the PL. So I'd say that without Suarez being banned for the first 6 games of the season they have every chance of winning the PL.
  25. no tied 18th, when there's a tie that takes up as many places in the order as there are tied teams. so Napoli for instance is 4th and not 3rd
